Conan's been begging for another game in the vein of the 2007 GoW-lite, because ever since then, every Conan game has had you play as someone other than Conan. There's nothing wrong with exploring Hyboria, but at least let us explore it as fucking CONAN once in a while

Is it bad that I want this game to be good? I love Conan but I know it will be shit because of Funcom. Age of Conan was a travesty. Hopefully the combat in this game is fun.

It really feels like they tried to ride the "success" of DayZ/Rust (and the other clones), but they got stuck in a development hell for too long and now it just feels out of place, no one cares anymore, the openworld survival craze has pretty much died out at this point.
Age of Conan was also pretty mediocre.
Pretty sure it will go F2P soon enough, unless it isn't already.

This is the only thing that matters, I'll wait 6 days and see.
The avatar stuff looks neat, but otherwise it looks like a more content-complete version of Rust/Ark which just isn't my type of game.
Also this is literally the type of game you need to join a big group to play, which sounds a bit tedious. Then if you stop and play other shit, you will probably get kicked/removed and then force to play ye old solo adventures accomplishing jack shit because everything takes ages to do solo.

All depends on how tedious they make the grind. Fucking loathe how all these games expect you to be in big ass tribes to accomplish anything. I don't expect to do everything myself quickly, but 2-3 players should be ideal.
At least there's no mounted combat anyways, ark pretty much showed how much that sucks. Rather worried that there's only dodging and no blocking though.
This made me check to see if my Age of Conan account was still active. It totally is. Thanks, funcom.
IMO The conan world is probably the best suited for the rust/ark type of bollocks. If it's not a buggy shit show like Ark I'll really enjoy it.
