8 characters would be forgivable but it has shit all for content as well and an awful story mode that glazes over most events.

Because the pre-order bonuses are pretty bad. If they had the bathing Casca skin that Japs got for pre-ordering I would we get shitty skins that will just be overpriced DLC later on.

Because the story will end prematurely with a boss battle that isn't Griffith.

I liked the nioh demos a lot in everything but gameplay which still feels sort of off to me in a few ways and makes me think the difficulty in the full game is going to feel cheap sometimes

I've played the Japanese release to completion and would gladly let Miura shit in my mouth, get Nioh instead. If you absolutely must play it, then wait for it to go down in price first. I really wanted to like it, but it gets stale fast and doesn't do a very good job of re-telling the story either.

The only way I would justify spending $60 on this game is if you enjoy the series and want to give something back to Miura, if you think of it that way (and you're getting a game to play in return) then go ahead. Berserk really needs more support from the West. But no, it isn't an especially good game by any means.

I'm buying the PC version.

There's no way it can be worse than the Dreamcast game and I enjoyed that
