Gonna wait for them to come down in price.

>Doesn't even take Ultra HD movies.
No, I Future Tone'd myself. Don't need a Pro for that.
I'll just wait for a PS4 Pro Slim
I got a limited edition original that I plan on selling when the time is right
For what purpose?
I sure did. Bloodborne is even beter now, playing it on my Pro. No more framerate dips, enhanced visuals from supersampling... Greatness for those who awaited.

>The Playstation 4 Pro version of the Nioh Last Chance Trial uses different native resolutions depending on which game mode is chosen. Movie mode uses a dynamic resolution with resolutions switching between 2560x1440, approximately 3330x1880 and 3840x2160. Action mode uses a dynamic resolution with resolutions switching between 1280x720, 1665x940 and 1920x1080. Movie mode appears to run at a higher resolution on average than Movie (variable) mode

Sold PS4 for $250. needed a HDD upgrade anyway. Got it bundled with shit games in a Black friday deal, sold those games so basically paid nothing
>he doesnt shop around for deals
>he keeps games he isnt going to play again
Bloodborne was never patched with Pro support m8
Which one? The Playstation 1 edition?
I'm not a PCuck so I don't see a need in spending hundreds of dollars and upgrading every 2 years. I'll buy the PS5, not the PS4 Pro, not the PS4.5&7/8ths, just the next console.
The fucking PS4 is just finally getting some games this year, I'm not buying a new one.
PS4 Pro being a "4K" console was obvious bullshit from the very beginning, as PS4 had trouble with 1080p and Pro isn't even close to 4x the horsepower.
Also, I don't think even an i7/gtx1080 master racer can run games at 4K and maintain 60fps.
Yes, my PC runs pretty much everything I throw at it. Maybe I'll buy a new graphics card in 2 or 3 years.
I can't wait to play Ace Combat 7 in 4K and 60fps.
lol consoles are already dated. every single one
Just bought one, can't wait to get home and play Skylight Freerange 2
...
...
lol
a car battery to power ps4 on the go is 30lbs though
that's not future proof.
the PS5 will be coming out next year almost guaranteed, since MS and nintendo are trying to push us into gen 9 because they both fucked up so bad with gen 8.
I think sony's gonna stick with the PS4 for a rather lengthy amount of time, like they did the PS2.
>implying there won't be a PS4 Pro2 in a couple years
>run out of games to remaster
>have to remaster the actual console
>tfw people think you're a nintendrone but you have no consoles and just an old thinkpad
I learned from /p/
yep
Will get 4k tv before Nier Automata also.
gotta compete with project scrotum
No, since my PS4 is mainly a Miku machine anyways
>Gets blown out After saying they were competing with PC
>"B-B-Buh cuckpio and Nintendo Bitch!"
I did, it lasted two months and then broke.
Might buy one at the end of the year

Bam didnt think of that.
You don't have an Alienware, you just wouldn't understand
Enjoy your shitty bitrates and compression out the ass, not to mention the awful audio.
I'd even take regular blu-ray over a 4K stream.
KEK I know what I se, Bloodborne runs beter on pro ;)
Yeah I bought one. Was mainly an excuse to sell my old one to my destitute friend for really cheap. BF1 runs a fuck of a lot better on it. I never expected it to be a 4k console, but I'll probably grab a 4k tv soon just because I want HDR. Really noticed over the past month just how fucking flat the colors on my old tv are.
>Future proof
>Has a 3 year old processor that was weak as all hell at launch
i really really WANT TO
haven't had a console since PS2
but i think i will only play bloodborne and then nothing
nioh seems shit, might play tekken 7 and RDR 2 even though i didn't have the chance to play RDR1. can it be played on ps4 even? it sucks that i won't be able to play demon's souls either
maybe see what the fuss around TLOU was all about
>nioh seems shit
I want to bully you for holding such an opinion
>0 exclusives
Not a good start to the new gen, Sony.
What's the benefit of "future proofing" over present proofing?
Is it cheaper or safer in any way?
>Pro
>New gen
movement seems to have no weight behind it which makes it look like a very cheap souls clone
calling it now this will also be the main complaint on this game
The PS4 was a new gen though, the only "exclusive" that had on release was a tech demo called Knack.
I wanna say this is going to come back to bite them in the ass, but the way things are going the only people who care(videophiles) won't be watching mainstream hollywood schlock anyway. It's ironic that in the "age of the nerds" true enthusiast culture is dying.
Well I've played all three trials and gotta say your impression is rather wrong there.
Knack is a killer app and that is why a second is coming out soon.
>future proof
consoles
[citation needed]
>calling it now this will also be the main complaint on this game
The main complaint of the game is that people don't understand how Ki management works or when to stance change and expect this to be a literal 1:1 clone of Souls when it's nothing like that, not because it feels light. It doesn't even feel light, high stance attacks feel heavy and slow as fuck and stuff like axes feel like it takes William forever to attack with them.
You can't just act like you know anything about a game because you watched one video and wrote it off, and most of the complaints are because people can't be bothered to learn how the system works and they thing the combo moves you can make are necessary to learn for anything when just unlocking the Ki Burst during dodging pretty much alleviates any stamina problems and need to use any special attacks.
>Knack is a killer app and that is why a second is coming out soon.
Last night I had a bizarre dream where I was playing with snow as if it were some kind of doughey substance that didn't melt in contact with the heat from my hands. I even commented on it but for some reason didn't think to pursue the matter further.
>I'll probably grab a 4k tv soon just because I want HDR
Enjoy spending $1.5k minimum, any TV less than that advertising HDR can't actually display it properly.
I had a dream where my dad had died and from beyond the grave sent me an email containing a 50% off coupon on any sandwich from my local grocery store. He only saved me like $4 so i didnt give that much of a shit.
x800d is what I plan on getting. Has a wide color gamut and hdr 10.
Gonna wait for the PS4 Super Pro
>console
>future proof
cucked
>Newfag posting the image that get's you banned
bye bye
Yeah, future proofed myself from shit.
By not buying it.
>The PC version of the Nioh Last Chance Trial uses a 0p resolution at 0fps regardless of card chosen. On average it seems this game will never ever render on a PC
Literally no point unless you didn't get the og ps4 and even then I would wait for a big price drop. If you actually want to spend money upgrading your rig, you might as well as just build a PC.
Future proof lol. Whats the point of the pro again? it uses the same cpu cores only instead of 1.6.ghz its at 2.1GHZ the only real boost is in gpu power. going from 1.84tflops to 4.20tflops.
i'm in the same boat. when is the next gen of consoles supposed to come out?
what are the chances of more worthwhile games appearing for this console before the next gen arrives?
are there ANY upcoming games worth buying? currently bloodborne is the ONLY game that i will be playing.
for this reason i'm looking at the slim version. is there any reason to go for the pro in my case?
>Look it sucks on the PS4
>B-B-But P-P-CEEEEEEE
Fucking lmao
>>>r/pcmasterrace
>I don't think even an i7/gtx1080 master racer can run games at 4K and maintain 60fps.
You can in Forza Horizon 3 and less demanding games.
Unless you can afford to upgrade again in a few years' time(or the TV you're upgrading from is really shitty) I'd recommend again that. Current "HDR" TVs, even the really high end ones, are the equivalent of 720p "HD" TVs from a few years ago. Also the content is not very well tuned yet and probably won't be until HDR sets become more mainstream.
>Can't underline correctly
Lmao newfag
Sony shot themselves in the foot with this one, mostly due to the fact that they don't demand that developers give people the exact same options for each game. In my mind there should be four different settings in the PS4 Pro menu:
1. Original PS4 hardware
2. 1080p 60 FPS High detail
3. 4K 60 FPS
4. 4K 30 FPS High detail
And it should ALWAYS run better than the base PS4 on high detail.
Also I don't care what anybody says, there is literally no fucking excuse for Nioh to run at 720p in certain circumstances on the Pro, that game looks like hot fucking garbage with early PS3 exclusive geometry how the FUCK do you release a game that runs that shit? Fuck me
I'm the original user he responded to
x800d isn't a bad deal. Sure it'll look like total shit compared to future OLEDs but you could do a lot worse and it actually has good HDR support compared to most 4K TVs that claim to have it.
>4K 60 FPS
>console
No fucking chance mate.
Sony fucked up and told us how many PS4's had been sold between now and November. This means we could subtract the amount of PS4s from the sum to find out how many Pros had been sold.
TL;DR - The Pro has sold 3 million units since November
Some PS4 games can do it. They just look worse than last gen launch games.
For the moment, sure did.
Aren't you forgetting PS4 slim sales? It was nearly half the price of the pro over the holiday season and had game bundles
Most HDMI ports can't do it. There's a reason everyone on PC switched to displayport.
I got a ks8000 knowing its essentially gimped >lel thanks for beta testing hardware and I'm still a little disappointed. It's mainly the content producer's fault though(or if you really want to get into it, economics/scalability). Regardless, its really not justified unless you've got cash to burn.
No.
Got myself a slim and TLG bundle. Why even bother when I might as well invest the saved money in the next hardware revision or games.
This is an issue now but thank god HDMI got their heads out of their collective asses with HDMI 2.1.
