Some of us are old enough that learning Japanese as a child wasn't as feasible as it is today, and adults have a MUCH harder time learning a second language. There is a reason why adults don't usually learn a foreign language when they move overseas, yet children do.

Reminds me of how I started learning the language at 19 years old and now few years later I'm here reading literary studies in Japanese to use as sources for my master's thesis.

There is a difference though. As a child, anyone can learn a language. As an adult, you have to have some natural talent towards linguistics. Even more, there are key characteristics you have to possess for certain languages, so you may be able to learn specific languages while having no chance for others. It isn't as simple as putting in the work.

If you are truly earning a master's degree, maybe you should have spent a little bit of that time learning about linguistics.

I never lost interest in a series harder than this. Blade already had a shonen tier plot, now it'll be expounded by that awful Tales artstyle. They listened to complaints about X character design incorrectly (or just went with the cheapest, lowest poly look they could get away with)

For years. Traditional college classes, rosetta stone, and even suggestions from the "learn to read japanese" threads on Sup Forums. I also tried to learn German. No interest in figuring out if there is a second language that I actually am geared towards.

Yeah I'd love to waste hours grinding for materials only avaliable in online mode. I mean it's not like the PC is moddable or anything.

No, not really.
At least not in this artstyle.
I usually love stuff like this Tales of, Xenosaga, Persona, etc.
But something about Xenoblade 2 in particular looks really bad, the most obvious thing for me is the lack of a visible nose, but also the way the lighting looks in the skin textures and how the outlines are.

The eyes are pretty bad too imo, but aside from that the models are fine.
