Infinite Warfare

Black Ops was cool. But that's the only CoD game I've ever played.

mw 1

cod 2

Black Ops 2 had one of the best campaigns of any FPS ever and had a better choice system than most RPGs to boot

But I think United Offensive takes the cake for me, it had a perfect balance between more open exploration areas and the linear set pieces the series would become known for. Just a great expansion from start to finish. Call of Duty 2 felt like a step back in some ways even.

I'll rank them for you

1. IW
2. Black Ops
3. WAW
4 COD 3
5 BO 2
6 COD 2
7 MW
8 MW 2
9 AW
10 MW 3
11 COD
12 Ghosts
13 BO 3

BO2 was extremely satisfying to play for the GOOD ending, BO3 ruined everything

I thought the story for blops 3 was the best
maybe not the campaign itself, but it was the most unique I think, next to the first blops.

I was actually shocked at how much fun I had playing it
That stealth mission on Titan, or the asteroid that kept rotating while you had to avoid sunlight were both really good

OG + this

>what is World At War

the only meme here is your fucking taste you retarded codbabby

really is telling of the state of the industry when we have faggots actually praising this garbage series

Really the first Infinity Ward games and all the Treyarch games have campaigns that are good in different ways

I'd argue that the only real stinkers are Modern Warfare 2 and 3, Ghosts, Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare

Yeah it was actually really creative and as far as video games go had a well put together narrative arc

Also bonus points for being the only CoD with actual boss fights

You know, as casual and yearly release-y as they are, some of the Cod games really feel like they're driving at something kind of unique and interesting, thematically. Then they always end before I've had time to sink my brain chompers into anything of substance.

It had a good premise, but it totally shit the bed at the end. Nice world. Fun to replay.

IW is the best COD fuck you

I think Activision probably let Treyarch at least have a looser leash since their CoDs consistently sell the best

The original, since it also gets United Offensive.

CoD2 is a close second.

ty anons of good taste, was expecting alot of hate for this.

Original and United Offensive were great.

>That ending scene

Two of those are me. I was really heartbroken because I was so hyped for BO3, I replayed BO2 like 5 times to get all the endings, I loved the safehouse and the customizability of the different options and powers, and then I got to the zombies level and I was like wtf. Then I got to the end and literally screamed.

If I didn't get it for free with my PS4 I probably never would have given CoD another chance. I was pleasantly surprised, and enjoyed it enough to give IW a go (which feels like an extension of BO3)

IW is ten times the game BO3 is. Don't even get me started on Black Market Weapons

>people saying IW
>people ranking any BO games in the top 5
>people ranking 3 at all

This site is really full of dudebros.

yup

I'm honestly surprised how good it was

> one of three threads with actual civil vidya related discussion and minimal shitposting

Fucking Chads

This game had some of the dumbest cover art I've ever seen

>gun pointed at awkward angle and fired close to face
>guy not looking at whatever he's shooting
>dumb expression like he just realized he sharted

This with bolt action only on multi player.

That's just proof of how fucking awful Sup Forums is, you're only further validating how fucking bad Sup Forums is.
But you're wrong anyways, there's a dozen decent and topical threads up, half of Sup Forums being shitposting doesn't make dudebro posting acceptable either.

I've only played modern warfare and iw, but IW blows it out of the water

World at war was my personal favorite, followed by black ops 1 and mw2

>having civil discussion about a popular game series's campaigns means Sup Forums is a shithole just because the series is considered bad

Turns out you're the cancer killing Sup Forums after all.

It's not the series that's bad. Well, Ghosts was garbo, and the stories of CoD have been retarded since MW2, it's the fact that you're talking about the series at all.
It shows you're very new. Newfaggotry killed this board, phone posters killed this board. Fappening opened the flood gates to a community already going down the tubes and Sup Forums attracted even more newfaggots via Donald Trump.

I've probably been here longer than you, you stupid nigger. It's a VIDEO GAME. This is the VIDEO GAMES board, you're allowed to talk about whatever VIDEO GAME you want to. Telling someone they can't talk about a game because you say so is the exact reason we get garbage like brap threads or just straight-up porn threads.

IW has the benefit of Infinity Ward realizing that the last 10 games they made were extremely similar and attempting to change that up. I still think MW is a very good game.

1. MW1
2. MW2
3. Blops
4.WaW
5. Kevin Spacey Warfare

Haven't properly finished:
>COD2, COD 3 (I had a blast with it tho), COD1

Total garbage, not worth your time:
>MW3, Ghosts, Blops 2

The rest I haven't played.

Please stop posting anytime

I doubt you've been here longer than me buddy, but whatever. Old Sup Forums talked about CoD 1 and 2 all the time cause they're decent games, the only people who look at anything past WaW with a positive light are the newshitters or the casuals. Either way they can fuck off.
I'm gonna go do something else, you enjoy your discussion about a series that went to shit years ago I guess.

I've never played Ghosts, what's so bad about it?

CoD4 was really something else. It's the only modern day middle eastern/russia themed game i've ever liked. All the other ones feel kinda bland to me, like that Medal of Honor game that came out in 2010. Thats pretty much the best setting for a baysian-movie style storymode.

After that, i loved WaW and BO1, and of course CoD 3 was my first so i loved it. I only wish they would go back to WW2/Cold War era. Every little futuristic gadget they put in the game since MW2 has just gotten more and more senseless.

Wow you're so cool, acting like you don't give a shit. Feel free to kill yourself anytime, you're the reason this board went to shit.

Do you guys play the campaigns on veteran? It's a pain in the ass

We will, see you later

Because Call of DOG: LOOK AT THIS FUCKING DOG.

DOG.

Also the main bad guy survives getting shot in the gut with a .44 magnum round and is magically able to beat the shit out of you after you both fall ~100 feet into water and nearly drown.

I have mixed feelings, because if you're going to die it's within seconds of starting but also checkpoints every 10 seconds. I don't know if it's easy or hard.

One painful memory I have is the level in Black Ops 1 in the trenches I think. You have to get down the bottom of a hill with infinitely respawning enemies firing at you with little cover.

I dunno man that doesn't sound too farfetched based on other CoD campaigns, they've done shit at least as silly

Terrible ridiculous story played completely straight (Black Ops 1 for comparion had a ridiculous story but the whole thing was an intentionally over-the-top Cold War thriller where you hallucinate murdering JFK and all sorts of wacky shit), total shit guns even more than the usual, awful Bane-like villain, unironically ripped off the plane scene in Dark Knight Rises, terrible dry boring dudebro characters, and a cliffhanger to be continued ending that will never be continued because the game was fucking dreadful

Grafix were total ass too despite the game weighing something like 50 gigs

Titanfall 2

yeah, I feel it kind of ruins the flow because its a really fast paced type of game where you need to run around a lot, but you die from one hit.

guy kind of looks like a Tom Cruise John Travolta mix.

Nah. Veteran is garbage. Call of Duty's gameplay doesn't mesh well with it, it's just a punishment mode.
I play at Hardened usually.

The first one. The whole Soviet campaign they ripped from Enemy at the Gates was awesome.

Nah, the closest they got was Makarov at the end of MW3 but even then that was still pretty believable.

>3

oh my god fuck you

this cod 2 was great i played the story so many times

>like Big Red One
>nobody else seems to have liked it

also I remember CoD3 having a shit campaign, compounded by the terrible Wiimote controls

The zombie campaign.

>nobody else seems to have liked it

That's bullshit. Every time it's mentioned, people start to remember the character deaths and get nostalgic over the game.

Either COD4:MW or the more recent one where there was like an AI parasite thing.

I loved big red one. COD3 was pure garbage I hated that game.

MW2 has the best campaign, followed by MW1.

United Offensive.

This, AW and Infinite Warfare gameplay wise are all top tier.

>Blops 2

Kill yourself.

fuck those new kids. Youre on point and them saying they probably been here longer is laughable if they truely believe in the shit they posted in this thread

also every cunt knows COD 2 was objectively the best of the series simply because of the maps, followed by 5/waw

...

fuck son how mad are you that you quote the wrong person then repost and forget to post the picture again?

Are you really that mad you cant even get your brain to function enough to use a taiwanese picture sharing website?

get your shit together

CoD for tribute to WW2
CoD 4 for overall quality
WaW for Reznov
MW2 for cuhrayzee
BO for CIA cuhrayzee
BO2 for story
AW for setpieces
US mission were pretty bad.

The only non-underage person in this thread. Good taste.

MW2 onwards is pretty easy.

Flip MW2 and COD3 and otherwise it's pretty good. MW2's campaign was the equivalent of a dumb saturday afternoon action movie and it was wonderful.

>IW that fucking high
It's the only one I haven't played yet. It can't be that good

IW on Specialist is anal buttrape
>same HP as veteran but no regenerating hp

damn solid post, but I thought BO2 was pretty weak personally

Last one I played was AW. I hear BO3 has OHKO difficulty.
Why is that? There's a few mission I don't care for personally and the strike missions suck but it's a good time, imo.

>Nice job, Nixon!
>It's Nichols, sir...

youtube.com/watch?v=6R_rzICCNbM
>We want the baneposter audience

I liked the scale of MW3.

Oh boy, the Actishills are here.
Yes, obese shills, the same cookie cutter campaign that stands out in zero ways, and it's the same generic 5 hour long shooting gallery COD has always been is very fun.
As always, no arguments will be provided to defend it.

Scale is probably the only thing good about that campaign.

Big Red One

>unironicaly Cawascoosy threads
>people unironically praising modern Cawascabies
Welp, kill Sup Forums, this place is dead.
Don't bother replying with
>OMG LET US TALK ABOUT GAMES
Or sending me to Reddit, you are all underage manchildren, and you know it.

Call of Duty is the embodiment of everything wrong with this industry.
Nothing will ever sotp that.

I liked Finest Hour.

You know I could sort of accept, in a big stretch, how in CIA Rises they didn't spot the plane because they just had some old passenger jet. But here they were fucking spec ops people in a military jet and they didn't recognize a fucking Hercules or whatever it was flying 20 meters behind them. I know I know, the COD series is full of stupid shit, but usually they're at least a bit tongue in cheek about it.

>he doesn't know there were MW2 threads in 2009
>he doesn't know how hyped /vee/ was for Assassin's Creed 2 in 09
>he calls others manchildren whilst sperging out on a Mongolian wallpaper forum

Dude, Infinite Warfare is one of the most shilled games in Sup Forums's history.
And expect the next COD to be shilled even harder than this.
Activision is desperate because the sales of COD are slowly but steadily falling.
They expect that by shilling here, positive opinions about COD will spread to other places, like memes.
Too bad no one outside of these marketeer threads even mentions COD.

The Vietnam level where you're supposed to throw explosive barrels at the VC?

>150 threads to choose from
>And he comes in here to shit up this one
MW>MW2>WaW>All else

>he doesn't know there were MW2 threads in 2009
Yes, about how MW2 killed the franchise.

>he doesn't know how hyped /vee/ was for Assassin's Creed 2 in 09
Everyone was, what does AC have to do with this?

>Mongolian wallpaper forum
This has to be the most EPIC meme of EPICNESS i've seen this week.
I'm going to fucking post this fucking epic meme on r/Sup Forums, my Reddit friend.

>literally "it's popular so it's bad"
>literally no argument as to why pre-MW3 cawadoodies are bad at all except "muh dudebros"

>meme.jpg
That was me, I'm curious why the fuck people buy these games if they hate them? Especially after how awful Ghosts was.

>MW2 killed the franchise
>with a great action setpiece singleplayer
>with a great multiplayer with some annoying quirks
>when Blops 1, one of the better COD games, came a year after it

>literally "it's popular so it's bad"
You actually want me to post my Steam account to show you the COD games I bought, and for me to carefully explain to you why it's absolute fucking cancer?

>literally no argument as to why pre-MW3 cawadoodies are bad at all except "muh dudebros"
COD4 was decent, COD WaW was merely a mod, and MW2 was a disaster.

>Yes, about how MW2 killed the franchise.
You have selective memory.
>Everyone was, what does AC have to do with this?
Because that franchise is just like CoD in how it's regarded as AAA trash.
>This has to be the most EPIC meme of EPICNESS i've seen this week.
I'm going to fucking post this fucking epic meme on r/Sup Forums, my Reddit friend.
Not an argument, manchild.

Okay, it was pretty fun though

Maybe, I think you command a tank at one point. There's trenches.

>with a great action setpiece singleplayer
Who cares about those 4 hours of generic shooting galleries?
Don't bother with your ''setpiece'' buzzword, that doesn't change anything.
A shooting gallery full of braindead AI is a shooting gallery full of braindead AI.

>with a great multiplayer with some annoying quirks
Some?
Are you fucking serious?
The one where almost every single element of it was overpowered?
The one that filled it with pointless killstreaks?
The one which started making a huge deal of perks?
Give me a fucking break, it all went downhill from there.

>when Blops 1, one of the better COD games, came a year after it
Ah yes, Black Ops 1 MP, the multiplayer that didn't stand out any anything at all and was a reskin of MW2 but slower.

>You have selective memory.
No I don't.

>Because that franchise is just like CoD in how it's regarded as AAA trash.
And they are.

>Not an argument, manchild.
Says the one posting epic Reddit approved memes.

>with a great multiplayer with some annoying quirks
I'm not even the same guy but it only put in some things fans wanted and that was it, that game threw balance out the window.
Only geniune improvement I remember was more verticality which prevented people from just throwing grenades into a certain spot to get a kill.
