Yfw you realize most of the people on Sup Forums can't even run games in ultra
Running games in ultra require a high setup and high setup requires spending lots of money.
In order to spend that kind of money you have to work a well-paid job, but then if the job let you afford that kind of rigs, the person end up using that money for something useful.
So if we give you the benefit of doubt I have to say that the majority of Sup Forums prefers to keep their money instead of spending it in a babby ultra powerful PC.
Why would I want to? FPS > graphics
>ysw you realize most of the people on Sup Forums can't even run games on 240hz
Gtx 1080 mustard race
smooth 5 fps here bro
>he actually bought a 1080
>he didn't wait for the 1080 ti
aiaiaiaiai!
I can but I choose not too to save electricity and the environment.
I run everything on ultra it's nice
6 fps on the resident evil demo with downsamplingx2
>In order to spend that kind of money you have to work a well-paid job, but then if the job let you afford that kind of rigs, the person end up using that money for something useful.
What? This sentence is incoherent. I work at a very well-paying job that let me purchase two machines that can run games on ultra this year, plus afford numerous other luxuries in addition to necessities. I have no idea what the fuck it is you're trying to say. "If you have a job that pays well, you'll only use it on something useful?" You clearly have never worked at a job that pays well.
The 1080 has been out since May dude. That's 8 months, and the 1080Ti still isn't out. i'd say anyone who bought a 1080 got their money's worth. Waitfags are retarded. It's like how Sup Forums has been saying "Wait for Zen" for like a year now.
>240hz
wtf is the point
>can run games on ultra at 60
>but games are so shit optimization wise that I have to go to high or even medium to get 144
144fps > ultra gwafix
>Ultra powerful PC
Fuck off. I have a 2500k and a 280x and I max out Doom and TW3.
Fuck you and that bullshit assumption.
Not that guy, but more power to him. 240hz monitors have been a thing for 3 years.
>didn't want to be a waitfag when 1080 release date was unknown
>bought a 980ti in April
Your fault for being an uninformed moron
Yeah. Oh well, I'll probably buy a 1080ti when it comes out this year. $600 is no sweat off my nose, it was just kinda like, "Really?"
B-but, I do.
on 720p. My monitor was good, years ago.
That sucks, but hey at least it's still 1070 performance.
I can't even run games from 2004 in Very Low settings.
Half Life 2 can't run on my PC.
>implying 1080 ti will be the same price
It'll be
>899$
>999$ FOR PREMIUM FOUNDERS EDITON
No they haven't. 240hz monitors are coming out in the past month only. There are some monitors from years ago which claim to be 240hz but are actually 120hz with black frame insertion.
i can barely run some 3 year old games on low faggot
8 year old pc master race
post speccy of your potato
Ultra64 got renamed to Nintendo64.
Keep up, you fucking casual.
...
...
Yeah sure I love all the blinding bloom and vomit inducing motion blur fampai.
>mfw there are people in the year 2017 still using a 1080p monitor
>i'd say anyone who bought a 1080 got their money's worth
1080ti is >10% powerful than a 1080 and they say even 30%. You're fucked dude.
The 1080 was still the top non-Titan card for probably 9 or even 10 months. How is that "fucked?" Nvidia doesn't even have to announce the 1080Ti until Vega is about to release. And when the 1080Ti does come out it's expected to be $1000, while you can get a 1080 now for like $550. I fail to see how anyone got "fucked." I don't see the point of waiting more than half a year just to pay almost double the price ofr slightly better performance. Again, waitfags are retarded.
1680x1050 actually, but I play most of my games on a CRT because i'm a /vr/fag.
You can buy a high end rig within a few months of any minimum wage job if you don't spend your money frivolously.
The titan x fags got fucked supposedly, cause the gtx 1080 ti is nearly a titan x but cheaper.
Jesus christ, I'm waiting to build my computer for the 1080ti release but if it turns out to be that much I will just get the 1080. Does anyone know if if theres any pattern to price drops for GPU? Like will the 1080 drop in price after the 1080ti release?
You can usually find used 1080s after a new model is released, but the brand new ones won't drop a cent.
This is because some people are satisfied and drop their 1080s then quick sell them to be able to buy the better card, or to recover some money.
No use having a useless brick around the house.
Interesting, duly noted.
I'm satisfied with 1080/60 on high/ultra on most games.
I'm still on my 980 now, but I'm probably gonna upgrade to a 1080 and get a new monitor alongside it soon. Or might even save up for a bit longer and get a kabylake just for the hell of it
>yfw you realize most of the people on Sup Forums haven't even watched belladonna of sadness
As long as I can get 60fps minimum at 1440p on ultra I think I would be satisfied.
My 1060 6gb can do witcher 3 60/1080, but without hairworks.
