MISS MISS MISS MISS
What did you guys do before you had the internet to make these threads?
Level your weapon skill, asshole.
don't expect combat to be like skyrim and oblivion
think of old rpgs, not every swing with a weapon will hit, even if you are right in the their face
Put a lot of points in agility so after a while you WILL hit every hit
also cliff racers are dicks
Git gud.
Boots of blind speed are essential, be sure to use a magic resistance spell before you put those fuckers on, instant 200+ speed
It's very clunky by today's standards but of you can work around the bullshit, it's pretty good. World is a lot of fun.
audibly shitpost to myself in my room

>Use Short and Long Swords as primary skills.
>Use 75 AGI 50 STR for starting stats
>At Balmora, there is a tower next to Caius' house. Go up it and get the sword hidden on top of the shelf there.
>There is a shrine in Vivec that gives you 20 minutes of max levitation.
Should be enough for everything to go smoothly.
basically you grind gold by buying and reselling same shit and then go talk to people and just spam training
most of the gameplay is just walking around reading your journal trying to figure out where to go
what? morrowind came out in 2002 we had internet forums lol
Why the fuck does this game feel so goddamn comfy to me?
I don't even particularly love the gameplay, and I much more prefer Oblivion, but holy shit does this game make me feel comfy as fuck.
Is it because of the handcrafted mystical locations? Or maybe nostalgia?
train in long blade skill, and get bound longsword for easy early game
I don't even remember.
Whats the point of having two combat skills?
Make a custom class, and choose your skills from as many different attributes as possible. This will make for the best leveling. Also I would generally advise not picking a weapon as a major skill, because they go up so fast that making them major isn't really necessary, but for your first character you should feel free to do whatever.
Wielding two weapon types, obvs.
Wouldn't it be smarter to just choose one and put the other primary skill somewhere more useful?
Eh, I'm not the fag who suggested it originally but I like mixing up weapons a little just for flavor. Like I used blunts and spears with my last character. I think you're right that they don't both need to start as class skills though, unless you need them both for attribute gains. Like spears being tied to endurance is nice for that if you're not using heavy armor.
lol whatever grandpa
don't neglect your training
you should be spending a lot of money on it
You get the longsword early which will get you through the main part of the game. Finish leveling it to max out your strength. When you get keening, a short sword, swap to that and max out your speed. Then go do bloodmoon and get the longsword at the end which is the best weapon in the game. You'll get AGI maxed from jumping and shit. Easiest way to max out important stats without min/maxing and still have points left over to dump a point into luck every level up.
mod the graphics, mod the weapon accuracy, mod the fast travel system to take you anywhere from any boat/silt strider
mod out the bugs.
aside from those, just experience the game the way it is and decide for yourself how many more mods you need.
>mod the fast travel system
Get the fuck off this board and don't ever come back.
Shit game
Shit combat
Everyone pretend that it is better than Skyrim
If it's your first playthrough then ignore this anons advice.
Are you kidding? Especially if its your first time playing through. The default walking speed is a pretty big barrier of entry for a lot of players
I like being able to go directly to my destination senpai
you do not need lots of mods. it's perfectly fine without them. I think my install just has morrowind code patch and morrowind gradphics extender
make sure you get +5 endurance every level up, so that's 10 endurance skills. I recommend being a bit skilled in everything, there is no particular replay value from saying "my character is x" and ignoring 80% of the skills. breton is 10/10
kill yourself
>make sure you get +5 endurance every level up
what
the game tells you how levelling up works. health is added when you level up based on your endurance I think, but increasing your endurance doesn't retroactively add health to previous level ups, meaning if you want to be MLG, you'll raise your endurance early. it doesn't really matter though I guess
Yeah, but that's super unnecessary.
Stamina affects combat and so do your other stats. Don't use a spear if your character has 40 in axe but only 15 in spears
