Install the game when you first start it and you'll be fine.

I got the platinum trophy and wasn't affected by load times or slowdown.

25fps nad horrifying slowdown, but if you literally truly figuratively only have the PS3 as a way to play it it's still worth it because it's a great game

It's really bad (slowdown and fucking screen tearing), but the game is still good.

I played it before they fixed it and was having so much fun I didn't even notice the issues. I think it loaded slower but I'd stop the load screen from finishing all the time to play around in practice anways

it's ok, but if you saw videos of the 360 or wiiu version, you will probably notice some slowdowns during the fights
compared to the wiiu version, the ps3 port handles better the iustitia fight and an explosion at the last stage

It's fine after the patch that allows you to install it, which you should.

Before that the frame rate drops and load times were horrendous.

The installation fixes load times. It does absolutely Nothing to help the slowdown.
That said, its a must play even if ps3 is the only way.

There's some decent games on there, though not as many as PS3.
NEVER EVER buy an Xbone, though. I made that mistake and learned my lesson.

I recently bought a bunch of old PS3 games that I never got around to playing and this was one of them. I gotta say I'm getting my ass handed to me pretty bad, I've gotten the stone award twice and was initially convinced I'd somehow gotten myself into an unwinnable situation on the first boss by not accumulating enough halos/upgrades(I was able to squeak by but it took like ten tries). Am I just a scrub or what? Pls no bully.

It's a hard game, user. Easy to beat but difficult to master. I got Stone awards too the whole way through.

Try looking for other weapons, some of them make it easier to fight certain enemies.

if it's your only choice then go for it. Updates and installing makes it better than it was at launch, although still inferior to both Xbox and WiiU.

It wouldn't be bad if it was able to keep a steady 30fps. Never played it when it came out. Happy Nintendo had both games in one buy.
How well did Bayo 2 sell? A portable Bayo 1 and 2 with maybe 3 a year after would be great.

I mean its fun mastering certain skills/enemies, and refreshing to actually be challenged for once, but Im just suffering from a bit of a bruised ego I suppose. It's strange to me that it can be as popular as it is given the difficulty.

I had the same reservations, OP. Honestly, it performed better than I expected. It may not be the best version, but it's perfectly playable.

I think the first Bayo on 360 was the first time I'd seen a frame rate so crisp. I just had fun walking around for a while.
