It's the best MOBA I have played and I really enjoy it. Give it a shot. The playerbase is trash, but that is world of MOBA's. There isn't a single one where you aren't the only one on the team that has common sense.

im reinstalling so I can kill some peeps and ride my horse with my male samurai (Musa) and deinstall again.

It's differs from the first 3 in the series (which were on PS2-3, WotS3 is on Steam) in difficulty. The developers wanted a Dark Souls like challenge combat-wise.

Combat is done in 1v1s, even if there are multiple allies and enemies on screen. You can change targets by breaking combat and activating free-running, then walking and facing the target you want to switch to. You won't get stabbed in the back by anyone you're not in combat with.

Combat is an exchange of fast but weak blows, slower but stronger blows, style-and-weapon specific attacks (There are multiple styles such as High, Mid, Low, Side, One Handed, Dual Wield, Ninja, Ninja Dual Wield, Unarmed(!) Spear, and even Pistol/Rifle) and a unique push/pull guard system; you can push or pull when you guard and attack, attempting to break break your opponent's balance and open their guard up.

There is also a "Heat" mechanic that punishes guarding too much, or abusing powerful attacks too much. Generate enough heat, and you lose durability on your sword until it breaks.

Movement is pretty standard when in combat. Sidestep, backstep, step forward, jump, etc.

Something that they took out was the parry system from 1-3, which was a welcome change since the AI was too good at it, and by 3 it was taken out of the hands of AI while giving hte player instantkill chains, making the player too powerful.

Combat is fast and deadly; unlike the past games, you have a set 1000 life. Your only manner of defense are from your weapon's stats, which you retain through playthroughs (though if you die, you lose it) and work on from the bottom up for the best offense, defense, and durability.

Oh yeah, there's the sword collecting. There are so many swords in the game with randomly generated stats, and some unique swords held by important NPCs (You can have sex with anyone and kill anyone). And you can even make your own swords by breaking down swords, getting random stats for each part, and reforge. (con)

Oh, did I mention that you can combine moves from the sword styles you've learned?

I mentioned the High, Mid, Low, Side styles, but within those styles are other unique styles that you can learn different moves for. THere are literally too many to list.

WHen you get your own dojo in game, you can make your own style from the moves and stances you've learned from using other weapons in combat.

Customizing your character is a hell of a lot of fun. Lots of options. Pic related.

The plot of WOTS4 takes a change from the seriousness of WOTS1-3, and is more campy and humorous in both characters and the plotlines that happen. It takes place when the West meets the Japs for the first time, and all the political stuff that happens because of it. You have the government that wants to take the good stuff from the Westerners and toss them out, the xenophobes who want nothing to do with the West, the British who want to establish a foothold in Japan for trade, and then you have the enlightened fucks who want to blend Western and Eastern thinking to bring Japan into a Renaissance of its own.

MULTIPLE ENDINGS, MULTIPLE FACTIONS
...but you can be a murderhobo if you want. It's technically a sandbox game in that you can choose how your character explores and interacts with the small town of Amahara. not much to do other than killing and fighting.

(There's also a secret feelgood ending that REALLY makes you earn your happy ending)

Lots of throwbacks to the old WOTS games, like the original Afro Samurai Donald Donatelouse and the deaf 5 year old girl who grows up (and you can fuck her).
