I actually like the bluriness some AA effects cause

Goldeneye just didn't compare to this.
i have over 1k hours played on modern warfare 2 multiplayer

Me too
I have enjoyed fallout 4
I like video games
I thought DmC was alright. The story and characters were terrible but I had fun with the gameplay.
I'm enjoying RE7 at the moment and think it's the best since 5. Because I actually liked 5 as well.
I just can't bring myself to be completely jaded like most of you. I still enjoy quite a few games and I don't want to see this industry fail.
i'm really excited for the Switch just because I love handhelds and a lot of time I prefer them to consoles. Don't even know if i'll plug it into the tv.
I like Fallout 4
I like Fallout 3
I dislike New Vegas
Even when there are a ton of class/profession options, I usually prefer the standard warrior type.
I own and enjoy playing on an Xbone.
I universally despise nearly all JRPGs.
The only Final Fantasy game I've ever completed was 10.
I like DS3.
That's all I feel like typing out.
I only played 800
so basically
>I'm simple
I buy call of duty for the singleplayer
I have almost 7500 hours in RuneScape
Don't worry, NV isn't really that good and most jRPGs are shit nowadays.
I edge to NTR RPG Maker games and then climax to shota sequences in TK17.
>I have over 1000 hours played on Garry's Mod
>not even 100 of them were spent online
I like Fallout 4 and 3(and New Vegas duh)
I want the Switch to be successful
I like casual games and think e-sports is making devs design games to be less about fun and more about "balance" and i also am barely above average at games.
i hate Sup Forums, but i can't go out
Ive never played a final fantasy game. I have no idea what theyre about.
In fact I dont think I've ever played a JRPG
I somewhat relate to this, only 200 hours though. Single player just making NPCs fight has been the majority of the time
I love most jrpgs though I prefer english dub to subs.
i dont care who made the game, if the game has racial diversity or not, if women are sexualized or not, or anything like that. i just want to play fun video games.
I love Mass Effect trilogy.
I like Fallout 3 over NV for the atmosphere.
Resident Evil 4 is shit, Code Veronica is the best with RE2
FFX is shit, a shitty copy of VIII
Trails in the sky is another shit
>FFX is shit, a shitty copy of VIII
This is a confessions thread, not a thread about being absolutely wrong. There's nothing even remotely similar between VIII and X. Not the story, the characters, the setting or the gameplay. You think they're both shit? Fair enough. You think they're similar to each other? You couldn't be any further from the truth.
I feel ya my dude.
When I was a kid, all my friends had a Xbox 360 and we had good times with Halo and Gears of War. I completed their campaigns lots of times with my bros.
I asked a PS3 for my birthday. My father was persuaded by the shopkeeper to buy an Xbox.
Halo and GoW were the only Xbox exclusives I was interested in and I had already completed them.
I unironically think the Wii was a great console whose only flaw it was that it didn't market non shovelware well
another confession related to yours, i loved COD WaW for the Wii. playing it CO-OP with my cousin was a huge blast.
>FFXII is my favorite JRPG, not just FF game.
>I still enjoy cod for the singleplayer.
> While quite short Infinite Warfare singleplayer is pretty good
> I prefer Smite do Lol and dota
I actually buy games depending on how much time I can spend jilling off to it.
I pirated every game that I have
Me too, but never ever at full price. 15€ is okay.
I 100%'d Shadow the Hedgehog
The fuck is wrong with you
I prefer console controls over PC controls
I like the skyrim, fallout 3 and 4 main quests and even the side quests (not the misc ones)
I think the lore in TES is pretty good and skyrim was the best TES game
Also only played morrowind for 4 hours
Final fantasy games are boring to me
Dark souls 3 was the best souls game for me
MGS is also boring for me
I hate games like the mario games. Nintendo is childish to me
Weapon degredation was a mistake
I like simple perk trees
Yennefer > shauni >>>>>>>>>> triss
Mass effect was fun, engineer is the best class
I play female for the customisation options, they always have more
I uninstalled Nioh after dying three times in the alpha demo.
I uninstalled it again after loosing three times in a row to the Ogress in the last chance demo.
"try hard games are shit"
Two days ago I ordered the whole Souls saga and Nioh.
godspeed user, may the I-frame forever be in your favor.
I honestly think the Metal Gear series is terrible. The games are super short yet 60% made of cutscenes and codec calls, the AI is stupid and the controls are some of the shittiest I've ever experienced.
I's not so much a confession because that's not just an opinion, it's a freaking fact and people disagreeing are simply blinded by nostalgia but whatever.
This website is 18+
I have no problem with the writing in gearbox games
I find Ubisoft collectathons (Far cry and Ass creed games) enjoyably relaxing to complete even if the stories are generally pretty boring.
I'm a fucking tsundere about Mass Effect Andromeda
I enjoyed Assassins Creed 3 quite a bit and I don't see any major flaw aside from the noticable step down from Ezio to Connor's character.
The environments looked great and it had the best combat and parkour in the entire series at the time of release. It might be because I'm a sucker for the setting as well.
but that is just an opinion and not a fact.
TSAA Bluriness > Jaggies
I preordered ME:A because it's the only way to know for sure that it's terrible. I know I'll be annoyed that I wasted £50 but I need to know
Can't you just wait a few months/years for the price to drop a bit and then buy it?
there's a moment when you just stop caring about the main quest (because we've all seen star wars) and complete the game : the hunts, the bestiary, the eons, the bosses, the quests. The maps, monsters and the gameplay felt so nice. Too bad things like zodiac spear and red chocobo lvl 99 happened.
I occasionally buy new games that seem shit because I'm interested in finding out personally if/why it's shit as opposed to simply listening to someone else say "it's shit"
I enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever
i need to know now
That's why I'm in a confession thread, I know I'm retarded
I HATE the souls games with a passion
What games do you play?
You are like every xboner I know.
what the fuck man
I'll bet you're bad. And I'll bet you'll come back and say you either played almost not at all or finished all 4. Go on. Do it
Not him, but I liked Demon's Souls a lot and thought Dark Souls was a weak sequel and Dark Souls 2 was legitimely bad. Haven't played the others but it seems like just more of the exact same shit.
You're not alone. I think the Wii is an amazing console.
Especially when you hack it so you can have emulators with a shit ton of a classic games that run extremely well as well as having USB loader installed so you can have all GCN/Wii games backed up. Shit feels good having everything in one box.
And yes I do have a PC as well.
usually the more I hear that a game is shit, especially from here, the more likely I am to buy it.
You're not alone. I think the Wii is a great console too. Especially now that it's extremely easy to hack and shove in a shit ton of emulators and classic games along with a USB loader in order to back up all your Gamecube and Wii games. Feels good having everything in one box.
And yes, I do have a PC as well. Having emulators all on a console doesn't hurt and makes things a little more convenient. Nothing wrong with having more choices.
I have over 3000 hours in Diablo 3, Path of exile and Grim dawn combined.
I have some pretty controversial vidya confessions. I think that Skyrim is casual shit that only basic bitches love. I think Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3 and New Vegas I also think the Wii U is a fantastic console and better than the Gamecube
woops, what the heck? I thought my first post didn't go through.
i cant play indie/retro games. i tried. its not the graphics but two-dimensional gameplay that bothers me. also the tools you have to tell a story and create an atmosphere is more limited with pixel-graphics. i see all these indie games all the time and in the screenshots, it looks so good. some of them are even comfy (like stardew valley) but i lose interest after an hour
Final Fantasy XV had one of the best FF stories I played, even if it does have its many plot holes
Depends on games, quick responsive FPSes is a NO go for bluring and blooming shit up.
In the case of fallout 4 and skyrim its acceptable but DOF like those ENB shit is not acceptable.
Normally if I have a dream about a video game I go out and buy it, because I take it as a sign. The only exception I made was Dark Souls because I'm not getting into that shit.
the older I get the more [s]casual shit[/s] I'm prefering to play
Every time I see fallout 4 for 20 or less I want to buy it on PS4 even though I already pirated it on PC and stopped playing after only 6 hours.
Fucking help
Fuck the Sup Forumsolice I feel the same about Ubishit games.
Try as I might, I really don't like any Final Fantasy games and don't see what the big deal is.
I once masturbated with a dual shock 1 using MGS' vibration test.
I browse Sup Forums more than I actually play games at this point
I'm honestly more excited for 1,2,Switch and Puyo Puyo Tetris than BotW on Switch---which I am getting launch day.
I though Watch Dogs 2 was way better than it had any right to be and is wrongfully despised because of it's semi-misleading marketing around it's protags and themes
I've spent like 400 dollars (over three years) on Train Simulator DLC. I've played maybe a third of the content. I have 500+ hours in Train Simulator and gift the base game to at least ten people every holiday season.
how did that feel?
asking for science of course
This. I love Goldeneye like most people but damn did I have some good times playing the blue catridge. Also Nightfire but that's a given.
Agree
Sell me on Train Simulator. I'm curious.
I can't really remember so it must have been a mouth-tingler.
I am currently playing FFXIII. it's my first jrpg and I'm enjoying it
you a boy or a girl?
I love a good shitty opinions/confessions thread.
The GameCube is the best home console ever produced, and 90% of the primary Nintendo franchises had their best game on it.
>Metroid Prime
>LoZ Wind Waker
>SM Sunshine (3D Mario)
>PM TTYD (Mario RPG)
>Pikmin 2
>Animal Crossing GC
>SSB Melee
>Wave Race Blue Storm
>F-Zero GX
>UT2004 is better than UT99
>Ultimate Spider-Man is better than Spider-Man 2
>Mother 3's story is not that good
>XCOM EU is a good adaptation and modernization of the original clunky game
>HL Opposing Force is better than regular Half-Life 1, which makes it the best game in the franchise
>Halo 3 is the best game in the trilogy and has a satisfying conclusion
>343's additions to the Halo franchise are not acceptable in any way, shape, or form - giving the Forerunners a detailed background was a mistake
>StarCraft 2 is not good, whether from a story or gameplay perspective
>JP Rampage Edition is the best JP game
>Spyro 2 is the best game in the franchise
>Republic Commando's only good parts are the interactions with the squadmates, all the actual gameplay is subpar and repetitive
>ZSNES is perfectly okay to use as an emulator
>Zelda 2 is both fun and a good Zelda game
>Wayforward's Mighty puzzle series is better than its Shantae series
>Final Doom (specifically TNT Evilution) is better than regular Doom 2, but Doom 1 is still the best game in the franchise
I was surprised by how much I liked Watch Dogs 2, but it didn't deserve much more praise than it got. It doesn't excel in any department gameplay wise, and the story is total shit. I just played the missions where Horatio is kidnapped, then murdered, whoever was writing it didn't seem to give a fuck, so I don't know why anyone else should.
The best things about it are probably being able to listen to the radio/music outside vehicles, selfies as a collectible, and dressing up my cute little Marcus - most of which will be in the next GTA.
it is pretty good and you should not be ashamed for liking it
Male cis scum.
The power armor is the reason I couldn't get into Fallout 4. For some reason my autism couldn't handle having to decide wearing the armor suit or not. It's fucking weird.
Last time I enjoyed a game was about 5 years ago
COD offers consistently solid and polished singleplayer experiences despite being a formulaic series on the whole
I thought Prince of Persia 2008 was pretty good.
I have never purchased a Final Fantasy game
I have never finished a Fallout game
I have every major (MS, Sony, Nintendo) console since the Gamecube apart from the Wii U, but the Dreamcast was my favourite until the 360.
I have a gaming PC but I prefer playing on consoles
3 > Reach > ODST > 2 > 1 > 5 >>>> 4
In-game QTE's aren't a bad thing if the prompts can be turned off (ie Assassin's Creed combat)
Train Simulator is a shit program---even on a decent rig (3770K OC, GTX 980 TI, SSD, 16 GB RAM) it barely runs north of 30 FPS and dips down into the mid 10s regularly. The scenery outside of the train cockpit repeats ad nauseam and appear to mostly be comprised of simple geometry and graphic engine stock images. Until this year's update (TS 2016), the game was completely unfriendly and required you to research rules and regulation of railwork on your own. The game starts docking points for speeding at 1 MPH over---which is ridiculous. And the DLC price gouging is notorious; to own every piece of content costs well north of 6,000 USD (not counting sales).
Still, there is something I find refreshing about completing a series of fairly simply tasks---especially electric AMTRAK commute train missions which are way more straightforward than freight trains. At first, it was my go to podcast game but then I turned the corner and started actually getting interested in the logistics and real world similarities of train conducting and what the game was presenting as simulation. It's the rare case where I have taken knowledge I've learned from vidya and expanded on it through real world research.
do vibrations really work on a penis?
i gotta try that sometime
Hi DSP
That's the only game I made it to max prestige on. That was like 8 years ago when I had nothing better to do though.
I've played almost 1000 hours of Skyrim
It sounds strangely compelling, wtf.
Hell yeah they do. I've used exes' vibes to whack off in the past, it's completely different.
I use filters when I play emulators. Filters look nice.
I like Watch Dogs 2 story up until that part you spoiler tagged. I remember the pre-release trailers/marketing being un-fucking-sufferable with it's heavy reliance on "Internet culture" through the written prism of french dudes in their mid-40s. But the game surprisingly justifies everyone in the crew---include Wrench and his emoji helmet and Josh's literal autism--and has a nice bouncy attitude. I especially dug the few racial jabs thrown at the bleached white Silicon Valley populous in the Moodle level.
But it all goes to shit when it starts to take that dark turn and then does not follow up at all meaningfully. And the ending is really anti-climatic to boot.
I can see what you mean about the gameplay. I thought everything was functional without any frustrations. Digital SF/Oakland was rendered nicely and surprisingly accurate---I lived there for a few years.
I can never ever see the blurriness people are talking about in games with AA.

Just wait for the base game (Train Simulator 2016) to go on sale for fifteen or so bucks next Steam sale and dip a toe in. You obviously do not need to grab tons of DLC at first.
I've saved the world in vidya hundreds of times but I'll be damned if there is not some kind of allure to safely and promptly making all the stops on the New York-New Haven line without incurring penalties.
I haven't 100% completed a game in over a decade.
