I'll bite. I work in software and have a nice high end desktop PC and a MacBook Pro for work. My PC is mostly used to play Final Fantasy XIV and Counter-Strike, otherwise it's very much hardware I use to work on.

My ps4 on the other hand, is my primary game playing machine. It's attached to the larger living room tv, playing with a controller on the couch is comfortable, I can play with others when I have friends over, and my friends are on PlayStation network.

Why do I prefer to game on my ps4? Because I'm not an absolute neck beard shit lord who demands the highest quality graphics on a $3000 virginty protecting PC. Graphically the difference is often negligible, I hate dealing with the hassle of PC optimization and upkeep, and I can play great exclusives on my ps4.

PC master race cucks are the only ones who give a shit about a console vs PC fanboy war because they're small, impotent, unimportant basement dwellers with literally nothing else in their life that would be considered "winning" so they have to viciously defend the only thing they have that may make the, feel superior. PS4 plus Wii is really enough for me. I might need to move in 2-3 years, don't feel like taking hugeass box with me then. Don't really have money to spend on a high end pc, I know I won't use much. Got 2 laptops lying around and I mostly use only one of them. Sure, sometimes I get that fps or rts itch, if only for a moment. I know I should be able to run Stalker and AoEII on my laptop for when I really feel like playing something on pc.

I don't see a gaming pc as a worthy investment but I kinda wish I had one right now so I could games in peace without my dickhead brother watching netflix on it.

I used consoles first then went to PC in the early 2000s. PC was more fun for me because of lan parties and superior graphics. Now gaming is a lot different with games having movie level budgets and all of that. Consoles will always be pushed by major corporations first for most AAA titles because the numbers are there. Normies love to eat up games at full price whereas PC gamers buy them on the cheap during sales or pirate the game and realize it's shit and don't buy it at all, whereas console gamers buy a game for full price, realize it's shit and get some of their money back by trading it in or reselling it.

I buy all of my games these days since I'm not a poorfag but I very rarely pay over $30 for a game (which is one of the obvious perks of using PC). As for compatibility and all of that, yes there are some shit ports and/or hardware problems but a majority of games run well and often times better than the console counterparts. We don't get the console exclusives but in the end you're not missing much. I own consoles (ps4, xbox 360, ps3) as well as a strong PC and I always try to game on the PC over any console if I can. There's nothing wrong with consoles, they're just geared towards normies who think they're getting a good experience when they're really not, but they don't know the difference so they will just say "pc master race retards" etc. blah blah blah.

If you have an interest in tech and like building things PC gaming is something you should be interested in and look into. If you just want to play weeaboo shit in your parent's basement and act like your 30fps are awesome be a console gamer. Building a PC is super easy now. There wasn't a youtube when I was first building computers so I had to get my knowledge from other computer nerds or from the old guys at the computer shop. It was a fun time to be alive but honestly now you can do whatever you want to be watching a video and learning from that.

I have a good PC for work. It's just that all of my favorite games are console exclusives.

I did purchase DDDA for the PC when they released it and I like the PC version more than the console one but they rarely re-release for PC and even then it's a battle with shitty ports and so on.

SD cards aren't bootable. You'll need a USB flash drive or burned DVD.

liquid cooler is a meme, the pump will go out like it did with mine. you would be better off with a noctura hs/f. great temps, quiet as hell and at worst you have to put in a new fan which is far less likely to happen than a whole new liquid cooling unit.

This. I built my own PC a couple of years back and played on PC (and 3DS) exclusively for awhile. I've moved back to console because it's just comfier. Plus I have a 4k TV and a PS4 pro, which really does make the graphical difference negligible.
