Good, they would only ruin her.
yeah because franchise revival always goes so awesome these days, right?
it'd be thi4f all over again, fuck dat noise. let at least some of them stay dignified.
> Didn't play the first
> Second one probably my favorite FPS of all time
> So many great things about that game
> Can't even buy it on steam, let alone have hope for a decent sequel.
Sepuku me now desu senpai
No game lives forever.
It's even in the title, user!
Well, No one lives forever.

ignore pajeet level descriptions, the games are clean and work fine

First game is even better.
There is a long article somewhere explaining why the rights situation is such a mess.
GOG always wanted that game but it is impossible for them to get.
I played the first hour or so. I have some questions.
>Why is the skip cutscene button the same as the bunnyhopping button?
>Why is the tutorial so fucking awful?
>How does the body melting serum not effect Cate?
>The game's meant to be a bond film, and most bond films have action sequences at the start, so why does this game have an action CUTSCENE opening of an action gameplay opening? The only gameplay is walking through some hallways before encountering an embarrassingly handled exposition exchange.
>Why is the first mission a shooting gallery? It's boring. I sat through a bunch of bullshit for a shooting gallery?
>Why, for the love of God why, does every single door have a green USE icon on it? Why can't they just have no green icon and save me the time of having to check every door in the level? This is the dumbest design nugget I've seen in a while.
>Why did the level designer place one bomb in a random spot and call it a day? I was scouring an empty level for a couple minutes. Is one little explosive meant to destroy the whole hotel?
>Why is there no reasonable autosave checkpoints? Does the game expect me to save scum?
>nolfrevival.tk
thanks user
>Does the game expect me to save scum?
Pretty much. It was made before checkpoints were really a widespread thing.
>bond film
It's more like a parody of one.
I heard that but call me a graphics whore, the whole thing looked too damn blocky for me to get into
I wanna look like Cate Archer!
First level is somewhat underwhelming, I'll give you that. It gets much better later on.
Good, her games were somewhat unique but they were poor in execution
No One Lives Forever Reboot. Now with feminist politics.
Think Cate was my first video game crush, a proper one. Didn't care too much for Lara Croft
Sup Forums plays the NOLF reboot:
>Why is she such a slut!!!!!!!!
>muh oppression dude its just like real life Fuck off what a circlejerk
>Abloo bloo bloo why won't unity send me on missions where I get shot at?
>Of course a girl would be a burgular, girls steal everything all the time
>God, I hate women.
>This isn't anything at all like the original!
Hoy shit! Thank you user!
Those games were fucking awesome.
Shes like one of a few female characters who are ACTUALLY strong and not over-sexualized.
Not like the sjw trash nowadays.
The graphics are dated but they look cool to me.
Yeah, Shitaku actually had a decent article for once:
kotaku.com
You gotta understand the first game was made 17 years ago. Of course it looks dumb to us now. I actually thought the sniper intro sequence was really cool.
You have to use quicksaves, because older games have no checkpoints.
The game is way more difficult later on. After the beginning you need to use your gadgets and brain to pass the levels without raising a thousand+1 alarms.
Its not meant to be a bond film. Its meant to be a parody. The dialogues/the story/the characters are all parodies of themselves. The protagonist is the only one who doesnt seem like a parody.
This article made me depressed.
Yes, we know, it's very obviously a parody. A Bond parody. Bond. Would serve to reason that a parody would pay special attention to have a good hook like the real deal does. Possibly with a humorous twist. Note: NOLF's intro where you watch a bunch of dudes get executed is not humorous. 2nd Note: Austin Powers has action openings.
>You gotta understand the first game was made 17 years ago. Of course it looks dumb to us now.
Half Life 1 came out two years prior, Deus Ex the same year. Both hold up. Why? They're good. Technology is not the culprit, it's designers.
Does it actually work ? Seems too good to be anything else than a bait, a virus, or something weird
Oh, fuck off. Youre clearly trolling. You didnt finish the game, did you?
Everyone who played this loved it. Why do you gotta be such a huge contrarian? Both deus ex and half life have flaws.
Funny enough, NOL already has enough gender politics to trigger all the sperglords in Sup Forums. This is why we can't have nice things.
I downloaded and installed the first one so far.
Getting some performance problem when launching it, but it seems to be the real deal.
>You didnt finish the game, did you?
Good games don't have starts this rocky boy didn't Romero once say the first levels are the most important? and oh hey what's this
>>I played the first hour or so.
Boy it's almost like an admittance of ignorance! I must be trolling here by not turning my brain off and playing a game I'm not enjoying for several hours on my own behest.
To add to the "performance problems" I mentioned, it seemed to be only in menus, where I suffer from low FPS, in game is fine so far
>The game's meant to be a bond film . . .
Maybe a Roger Moore Bond film. This game came out around the same time as Austin Powers. It is more like a slightly more serious version of Austin Powers than it is a bond film game.
The multiplayer community in NOLF was the best.
Alright, thanks user.
Will try it
So you assholes really not know about the ISO zone?
Sometimes you gotta give a game the benefit of the doubt. You cant review a game if you only played the first or so levels.
Also, in no way is nolf like doom. Romero did a fine job and I liked the first level of nolf. I guess its just a matter of taste, after all.
The original already had feminist politics dumbass. Sup Forums would be bawling their dicks off if it came out today.
>You cant review a game if you only played the first or so levels.
It's a good thing I didn't review the game then, huh? I'll probably give the next level a go. The shooting is okay. The writing flip flops between great and meh.
Regular 20th century feminism is not the same as 2010s+ feminism
you can find them on PC ISO ZONE
This so much. Feminism used to be about equality of rights AND responsibilities. Now it's about privilege and avoidance of responsibilities.
