Holy fuck I went in debt because of TF2 hats. Thankfully they wrre like an investment, and so I have a shit ton of steam credit for all the vidya I want

Not sure if this counts, but go figure.
When I was a kid my mother was single, and was dating some guy over the Internet. They'd talk on the phone so much, and we (poorfags) were concerned about our cellular bill so the dude said he'd pay our bill for that month.
Unfortunately, I had the brilliant idea that since the guy was footing the bill, I could buy games on mobile and he'd be paying for them. I bought about $100 worth of mobile games. Then of course it turned out that my mother was being catfished, and when she found out how much I'd spent I got the beating of a lifetime.

I had to sit under the table and give everyone blowjobs.
I think I dropped $180 for my complete copy of Magic Knight Rayearth years ago, but nobody is selling it for less than $400 these days, so I think it was a good investment.
100 bucks for Battlefront and it's season pass.
Yes I regret it. Yet I am probably going to do the same thing for Battlefront2
Most of the rare hats have depreciated because of an overabundance on the market
