Frame Rate is 60 almost every time in action mode, in movie mode is 30 and movie unlocked is just unlocked framerate.

Turns out PC games can drop as low as 240x240 and 0 frames per second.

That image shows the PS4 Pro resolutions during the Action Mode option. They said the FPS was stable at 60 fps with some dips into 58, but it was rare. The resolution dip to 720p was also rare in their analysis.
On base PS4 it was 720p with dips below that and mostly 60 fps but with more frequent dips than PS4 Pro.

The Pro is obviously better in both terms of resolution and stable framerate, but I dont think it will be a big issue for standard PS4 players.

if you're playing games in a virtual machine using gpu-passthrough then you get to be snobby, but if you're snapping together parts you bought on newegg and then installing windows you're as cucked by microsoft as any xbox consumer

Actually, a waste of potential would occur if the game was released on PC. It is a KNOWN fact that PC gamers are exponentially more casual than console gamers, so if Nioh was made for PC *also on PS4, the game would be dumbed down to essentially be a non-game. Dark Souls 2 and 3 were dumbed down because PC gamers had a hard time playing DS1. MGSV was the most casual MGS game in decades because PC gamers had a hard time beating Bladewolf. If Nioh was made for PC, every boss would be a literal Zelda boss, with the addition of a QTE to tell you when to attack.

Howdy Redditor, I played every Nioh demo and it ran smooth as fuck the entire time. Almost all of it's development over the last 13 years has been on PS3, so it doesn't look like the most mindblowing game of all time and just a AA Japanese game. This game runs better than Bloodborne and is more fun to play than Bloodborne. Expect plenty of gold faces in a week.

Buying a PS4 Pro is still a waste of money unless you don't already have a PS4 though.

The demo felt like a solid 60fps the entire time on my pro, the resolution definitely was noticed but it did not bother me all that much.

I do wish it was on PC so we could have 4k 60fps but whatever, I will enjoy it regardless.
