The reason Nintendo constantly kept putting Metroid games out there was to appeal to their adult audience. Now that they have Fire Emblem, there is no reason for Metroid to exist.
Fire Emblem killed Metroid
Don't even know where to begin explaining the differences between the two series and how that your post makes zero sense.
Fire Emblem as a series has 14 mainline games with a 15th one in development.
Metroid as a series has 5 mainline games.
Wow you sure told him.
is it just one shitposter forcing this nonexistent metroid and fe rivalry
Or maybe it's because they brought out a game that was total fucking trash and killed it nice and good.
Also this
Okay, then explain to me how it makes sense then. Metroid and Fire Emblem have almost no similarities as video games. How would one replace the other?
post more Oboro
It's usually just one autist with an agenda.
Because FE attracted an actual audience. Metroid never did in spite of YEARS of pandering and support.
Fuck Metroid.
Good
I'd rather have more mideavel games than scifi shit
Actually Metroidfags killed Metroid.
Why does she have a metal plate screwed to her crotch?
Almost definitely this
The games aren't even made by the same company.
FE is made by Intelligent Systems while Metroid is by Nintendo EAD (or whatever third party they decide to hire)
thank god
>FE
>the game full of weebshit, shipping, petting minigames, retarded plot, self insert protagonist, pokémon tier kikery
>for adults
Good. Metroid is a shit franchise
but modern FE is persona level shit aimed at teenagers.
This is a great trollpost.
Echoes doesn't have marriage at all.
THIS! The fanbase was the most toxic thing to the Metroid franchise.
...
They were both niche.
They were both on the brink of death.
Then Fire Emblem got waifus and what felt like a stars/fanservice game to end the series on. It survived and has become more popular than ever.
Metroid got nothing but the shit that is Federation Force. It's dead, Jim.
Federation Force was great though.

So you're the one making these threads? Is not even surprising.
bomb
Yes, it was me all along.
I'm not going to rest until Metroid fags become the laughingstock of Sup Forums.
You're a black sheep then. Critics condemned it, hardcode fans hated it even after giving it the benefit of the doubt and casuals found it boring.
It is Metroid only in name. No time and effort was put into the gameplay and mission design. Prove me wrong. Tell me this is better than Metroid, Metroid 2, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, the Prime games and even Other M. Fucking name five good things about this game without mentioning muh lore or muh blast ball. I fucking dare you.
That makes no sense.
>Adults can only play one game per development cycle
>Fire Emblem killed Metroid
lol no.
Intelligent Systems co-developed Metroid with first-party Nintendo for the first two games, Metroid (1986) and Super Metroid (1994). Then Nintendo made the conscious decision to generally license the IP to third parties the past 23 years.
>Fusion
Nintendo R&D1, no Intelligent Systems
>Prime
Retro Studios
>Zero Mission
R&D1
>Pinball
Fuse Games
>Prime: Trilogy
Retro Studios
>Prime 3
Retro Studios
>Other M
Team Ninja
There are 12 Metroid titles and Intelligent Systems was involved with only 2 of them (albeit the most important, they were also 23+ years ago).
Fire Emblem has been consistently released since 1990. Pic related, I ain't typing all that shit.
It would be more accurate to say that Fire Emblem killed Advance Wars because Intelligent Systems was more hands-on that series from 1988-2008 (when it died).
I'm sure we'll see Advance Wars come back eventually. Personally I'd rather see a Codename S.T.E.A.M sequel though. That shit was TIGHT.
Not the guy you're responding to, but I'm sure they put a shit ton of effort in to fix it after all the negative reception at the reveal. The problem was the core concept didn't work on 3DS. FPS football/soccer would require precision and accuracy, which meant dumbing the game down considerably to work with a touchscreen. There wasn't much they could do.
...
>Cody thread
hoo boy.
Reminder that Cody has been doing this for YEARS. Go to fireden, look up the oldest archived general metroid threads, and you'll see him at it in every other thread.
How shit of a roll is this? Why does robin only have 3 stars if he had his own cutscene?
>shit roll
>a 5 star
come back when all you get are 3 stars like me, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>Critics condemned it
For not being a Metroid game. As an actual, multiplayer co-op shooter it was great.
>Hardcore fans hated it
Without playing i.
>After giving it the benefit of the doubt
Ha ha ha ha.
>And casuals found it boring
Casuals don't play games like this.
Federation Force, in all honesty, is probably one of the better Metroid prime games. A lot of replay value, some great scenarios, and a lot of creative mission design make playing the game an absolute treat.
despite this, Metroid fans are faggots and don't care.
Metroid fans love pointing the finger against everything, don't they?
First DK because it took Rare's focus, then Kirby for who knows what stupid reason.
Stop making this thread
They have insane victim complexes.
>For not being a Metroid game
Why did they call it a fucking Metroid game then? Where's the isolation? Where's the deep exploration? Being an alright co-op shooter doesn't justify the fact that it's s bland one that bears the Metroid name.
>Hardcore fans didn't play it
"LOL, they didn't give it a fair chance"
Bullshit. If you want an example, take a look at a guy named Shawn Long. Die hard Metroid fan who ignored all the negative press and went into it blind, finished it and said the level of quality one would expect from a Metroid game. If not him, then by all means Somecallmejohnny. Also a diehard fan who gave it a chance and said it was mediocre if you play it on your own. And that's almost a certainty.
>Casuals don't play games like this
Oh really? They seriously haven't played Left 4 Dead, Portal 2 or Borderlands? Fuck off.
>Replay value
Grinding to fully upgrade your mods jsut for the sake of it isn't replayablity.
>Some great scenarios
Yes, the protagonist of the whole series mind controlled and as a giantess for the final boss truly is a great scenario. I can name more if you want but they're just as laughable.
>Creative mission design
It's linear as fuck. Shoot this ball into this hole, shoot this switch, kill these guys and advance to the next stage, etc.
>Metroid fans are faggots and don't care
They don't care because it's FUCKING BLAND AS FUCK AND ISN'T A FUCKING METROID GAME. HOW FUCKING BLIND ARE YOU?
>metroidfags are this delusional
>It's another "Metroidfag blames Nintendo's most recent big release for killing Metroid"
In a month you'll be saying Breath of the Wild killed Metroid because only one series is allowed to have open-ended exploration elements.
Fuck off, just because Metroid doesn't get a good game every other year doesn't mean it's dead. There was a spin-off just last year.
>There was a spin-off just last year.
When was the last game before that? And the one before that?
That's because no one likes Metroid except for Metroid fags.
