Given the general silence of this thread, I'd say many just don't care enough for it to be released

not enough stuff to get hyped up for it yet other than a few screenshots and a shitty teaser trailer

Anyone figured out the trailer secret yet?

I'll start caring when something resembling a finished product shows up

This
I'm really excited for it but it is clearly gonna take a long time to make and as such I doubt many will care right now
Once its done though im most certainly gonna be getting it and i hope others will as well

A trailers out, saying it's releasing this year. Trailer itself is shit though, all it has is a broken time crystal move slowly for 2 minutes.

thought that was ass from thumb

If there's no story mode then not interested

Apparently there's a hidden secret to it

this

I made a thread earlier, it 404'd.

He looks like circumcised penis with teeth.

I've been listening to the soundtrack in preparation for it. Are they leaving the music the same or is someone remixing that too?

Could have been a good step towards reviving the franchise, but Crytek gonna release it too soon for a quick cash grab.

I expect an incomplete bug ridden mess +dlc with less content than the first game. Most aspect of the game streamlined to atract a larger audience and possibly a realistic look instead of the cartoonish one.

But..
We can dream, right ?

>Crytek
>Cash
Dude you know it's a non-profit fan game made by unpaid volunteers?

Crytek gave them the go ahead as long as they don't SELL it, and don't use the existing assets of the previous games.

So they started from scratch and made what we see from nothing.

been in development for at least four years by now, it's an admirable effort but they're moving depressingly slow

crytek has nothing to do with this afaik, this is a modder's effort

>see the thumbnail in the catalog
>think its a giant plump ass covered in blood
>enlarge it
>its not

Hopefully people can add content, game mods and such.

If this does well, these guys better get hired to help make TS4. A fangame of this size takes dedication.

Sounds neat.

this t.bh desu

As soon as that happens though it goes through marketing, then we start to see the same bland shit we see in every arena shooter.

Show gameplay and people might have something to say about it.

They secretly built the game in Unreal Engine without telling Crytek. Crytek recently found out and told them to switch back to CryEngine. They may have also got more involved recently.

I don't think Crytek has the balls to make Battleborn 2. A lot of the TSFP team were developing Homefront, so I'd like to think at the very worst it'd be a solid game with terrible dated jokes?

>Dude you know it's a non-profit fan game made by unpaid volunteers?

Crytek overtook the project a few months ago, scraped a lot, few of the unpaid volunteers left because they didn't like the new direction

Not anymore it's not.

thats a penis

That sounds suspect, I'd like a source if you've got one. Public knowledge is that they have an NDA from Crytek until it's out, hence the past 5 months of silence.

I just find it hard to believe Crytek would WANT a stake in this, and I can't imagine they'd scrap anything and expect to make a full game due THIS year.

Source I posted in a previous thread :

powerupgaming.co.uk/2017/01/07/timesplitters-rewind-still-in-development-despite-doubts-over-cryteks-future-team-under-nda/

Who was it that we saw in the teaser ? Anyone knows ?

Can we just wallow in nostalgia over the original games ?

If it's got best girl then I'm in

Best music?

youtube.com/watch?v=_KnWRaH4JR8

the blonde haired girl looks like Angel Forge

Btw, I said scraped, but I din't mean that they scrapped all four years of dev time. They just selectively "made changes to suit Crytek’s needs"

Comments are saying that Crytek made them switch to the Cry Engine over Unreal. It seems they've now gone from Cry Engine (they switched because it was too obtuse), to Unreal, now forced back into Cry Engine. Which is why some people left.

The article linked suggests they just switched to the Cryengine and that was all, lost some devs from that Publisher choice. So maybe they staffed some of their own to help the transition.

I thought this was a butt, false advertisement

Good catch, didn't even see the blonde hair, thought it was a balaclava.

Why put an npc from the "terminator" level in TSFP ? Is that a clue or something ?

It'll be mobashit.
You know thats the only reason it's returning.

Machine Wars is a big part of Jacob Crow's venture into immortality? Might be trying to do some semblance of a story and a woman on the box might sell? I'm not sure.

I sincerely hope I'm in the wrong and that I jumped the horse too soon.

There's a lot of good music in TS, I won't even try to find the best one.

They switched and didn't tell Crytek and hid the fact that they switched.
I have chat logs with the devs telling me not to ever mention it. I emailed Crytek because they were taking so long, that was like a year ago though, don't think I has an impact, but Crytek should have sorted this out sooner.

The secret is the reflexion

I found it for you
youtube.com/watch?v=pSMZOU7lcK0

HEY DJ!

Ejection port is on the wrong side of the fucking gun out of ten.

I really gotta play these games again. I lost a complete save file for Future Perfect. TWICE. Didn't stop me to start all over again.

nigger have you even played time splitters
that same gun can fire and eject two shells at once
it doesn't give a shit about realism

thats how it was in the old ones you stupid fuc/k/

Where's the monkey?

I had to get all golds in elite twice, it hurts, but.

It's worth it:

youtube.com/watch?v=Gd7uMgubFwg

youtube.com/watch?v=KlT_8GbTQfo

My dad works at Crytek and he says you are wrong.

You're an idiot

I hope the old TimeSplitter artists draws some TS stuff when Rewind comes out.

>Bunch of nobodies remaking a game on an engine with no documentation
It's probably going to have 0.00001% of the content of the first TS and be completly broken

I played as the ninja monkey on hold the bag mode in the disco map. I was an uncatchable fucker.

Still remember the exact path I took, that map was great for this mode, not the best but still.

Hey, team member here, thanks to a certain friend pointing out the thread.

People aren't wrong on the UE4 thing. We are back on CE. Kind of a long story, I'll see if I can greentext it.

this, I was thinking I was about to see a thicc zombie and its just a fucking pec.

I wanna cry

This.

4 fizzling out has made me afraid to love.

How much does it pay to shill this?

If being an idiot means I'm wrong and that we will have a game worthy of the TimeSplitters name, I will gladly be an idiot.

Rewind is multiplayer only (Arcade stuff is a maybe, after it's out). But it's incorporating all 3 games multiplayer allegedly. I don't know which game they're using as a base for the MP though.

>lets make a trailer to hype our game
>it's just green shit and nonsese noise for two minutes

Which retarded marketer greenlit this?

Is it gonna have story mode? Truthfully I spent several hundreds of hours messing around with multiplayer bots but a story mode would be nice.

>Free Game
>Shilling

Nice meme words, isn't it a school night?

2>3>1

Don't need to, probably went like that
>Hey guys what if we used the worst engine possible that ruined almost every games it was used on since its release?
>GENIUS
>2 months later
>Hey guys, maybe taking the worst possible decision ever was a bad decision so let's make it worst by changing the engine and redo everything for shit and giggles

If you're telling the truth, please do.

Nope, mp only.

And by multiplayers you probably mean the most barebone MP they can get awat with right?
No bots, no map editor and no split screen?

Let's pray for bots then

>small team
>development is incredibly slow
>none of them are professional
it'll never come out and even if it does it'll be half assed.
give me a real timesplitters game.

we can't have nice things can we?

Unlikely I guess but yeah, let's pray.

I'm still on the fence. I usually am a single player kina guy but I sunk a lot of hours into the arcade mode with friends.

>Bunch of retards that probably never made a game in their life
>Using the least documented and most complex engine at the time
>Remaking the 3 games from scratch
It was never going to happen

This is from their F.A.Q.

>Q: Is this Multiplayer only?
>Initially, yes. We'd like to give the Arcade League, Challenges, and even the story a comeback, but let's finish one thing at a time, yeah?

>Q: What's the maximum player count?
>We're targeting 16 players, some maps may require a smaller player count, though.

>Q: Will there be online functionality, and if so, how will the team manage services for it?
>We're looking at dedicated servers hosted by us, we'd also like to distribute an app to allow anyone to host their own dedicated server.

>Q: Are you porting assets directly from the original games, or are you building them from the ground up?
>We have the original assets and are pretty much using them as our concept work while we build new assets that should stand up to current industry practice.

>Q: Will my favorite character be in the game?
>There are a lot of characters to include- 274, in fact. We'll do our best to include them at 'launch,' if not down the road in a game patch. One thing we can't promise are alternate uniforms, but at least you don't have to see Harry Tipper in a Henchwoman's uniform.

>Q: Will there be new game modes / characters / maps / weapons for Rewind?
We have enough on our plate for the existing assets! It even includes Team Thief which was a game mode from Future Perfect's Arcade League. Perhaps we could come up with a 'Street Racer Cortez,' or we could allow the community to build their own characters via Custom Mods.

>Q: Will there be bots?
>It wouldn't be a Timesplitters without 'em. We'll do our best to make them competent, too!

>Q: Will there be hitscan or ballistic physics for the weapons?
>As all games had a mixture of both, we plan to implement both as well.

>Q: Will it have MapMaker?
>We're coming up with a concept of it; if it's not feasible to make it function, then we will resort to a mod & custom assets system to keep our system as open as possible for the community.

(1/2)

tbf it's only a teaser, it does the job and teases the game, it teases only that tho, the game, no gameplay or nadda, but you can't ask much of random volunteer modders.

And I lost all interest in it.

Couldn't even just remake one of the games stories?

>Q: Will Mods or Custom Content be available?
>If we can't get MapMaker implemented, then you can bet we will do this as Plan B.

>Q: Which platform(s) will Timesplitters Rewind be available on?
>Release on Windows is definite; release on other PC platforms and consoles depends on a checklist - Crytek approving the release on the platform, licensing the game for the platform and possible costs of that, and then making the game function properly on the platform, not necessarily in that order.

>Q: Will there be splitscreen?
>This should be feasible, but we can't give a definitive 'yes' until we get closer to a private beta.

(2/2)

What a spoiled brat you are. You don't like broccoli so you want steak. Well all we got is broccoli so unless you want to starve here comes the fucking aeroplane!

>We have no idea what we're doing be surely things will work out eventually
Hype level: -100

Your mom is a horrible cook and it doesn't matter what she makes broccoli or Kobe beef it's going to taste like shit.

I forgot to mention this was written Feb 2015. So hopefully they've got shit sorted out now they have a trailer.

I'm pretty sure it's Viola

Your dad is a janitor at Crytek, he doesn't know shit.

Well I'm sorry mom ran off with 3 different men, and one of them has all of our steaks, and so she can only give us some broccoli, so unless you make daddy give up his fucking steak stash we're gonna have to make do.

If it's 2 years old then I can forgive that it looks like they had no idea what they were doing.
Sure would be nice if they gave an update during those 2 years though.
This is Shaq Fu 2 tier of updates

Could be, could be. But what does it mean ? Hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

That makes more sense than Angel forge, because they used Viola in promotional material before despite her having a limited role in TS2.

Nope, I'm leaving you and your mom and I don't care if it's a crackwhore I'm stuck with it's still better than hoping one day she'll learn how to cook. Good luck and enjoy the fucking broccoli.

So, what your favorite weapon in the games Sup Forums ?

Can someone tell me why TS was never on PC? Did they fall for the "PC gaming is finished, long live the PlayStation" meme like all western pubs in the 2000s?

dual revolvers

If we actually had money to shill. Besides, I stop by here every once in a while either by myself or a friend finding a TS thread.

Anyway, the greentext.

>Start out on CryEngine in mid 2013
>Numerous iterations of engine versions go by, and coders are gaining backlog due to updates breaking their code
>By 3.5.7, it's a mess
>Most of our coders leave due to no documentation or support to these updates, leaving us with mainly an art team
>As coders state their resignation from the team, project manager talks with Crytek UK head to ask if we can leave development of CE
>Crytek UK head comes back later, states that talking with Crytek heads that it is okay to use another engine
>We look at other engines for a couple months and decide on Unreal Engine 4
>We have our guy mainly involved in character and weapon animation and rigging become our lead programmer, and our systems administrator help in code implementation
>Coders join and leave very quickly after looking at the scope of the project until last year
>Environment, character, and weapon artists continue work as usual, pretty much
>Finally get a couple coders that stick around for more than a month or two, but don't like th way the code base is, and with the main coder going inactive, he starts rewriting the code base over, and I help move game assets.
>This happens more than once
>Said coder talks with Crytek, and with new people in their office, they decide that we need to go back
>Coder capitulates right away, other environment artist starts working with him migrating game assets over

And so there is your quick rundown. Feel free to ask questions to get more details.

SBP90
Two of them

I think about it when I see it, shit has been not coming out for like a decade

In this scenario you're my brother or sister, so she's our Radical Mom, it's just CryDaddy who's hogging the steaks.

Yes. I won't get into a bunch of details, otherwise someone on the team will probably drive across the country and kill me.
