Doom 3 was pretty incredible on the Xbox. But everyone is just going to say Uncharted 4.
wait, half life was on xbox?
It just might be. Original Xbox had some really impressive PC ports.
Yes. And the first game was on PS2.
Yeah, there was a whole lot of rage going on in Xbox magazines at the time about the game being ported.
Half Life 1 was on PS2
Yes, underage. It was a pretty big deal
>15 fps
>impressive
Since nobody said this I may as well go ahead. Motherfucking chronicles of riddick: escape from butcher bay.
Given the hardware and the game it is.
Shrek on xbox is the first deffered shading game
RDR
Sherk 2 was one of the best 4player coop game I've ever played. They just don't make movie tie in as good as they used to.
GTA V on the xbox 360 / PS3. How the fuck they managed to get that running decently on there is beyond me. Not even the lowest settings possible either (except shadows, those are like beyond the lowest setting on PC).
First time playing HL2 was on an OG Xbox. Good Times
Uncharted 4, whether you like it or not. It's just undeniable. GTA V close second.
At the time we thought it couldn't get better than MGS2.
fucking this
/thread
By removing everything from GTA4.
I put GTA5 higher.
GTA5 is such a massive game compared to UC4 that there's still things being unearthed about it after almost 4 years.
Xbox and Xbox 360 were great consoles, I hope the Scorpio can recapture what Microsoft lost in 2009 and beyond. I want the Scorpio to be like the Xbox and the Xbox 360 2005-2008
I hope so too. The only thing xbox had going for it was that it always had more power and was easier to program games for than the competition. They really fucked up on the xbox one.
>uncharted 4
>technically impressive
wat
Retard. If you go for fidelity, The Order is better for once thing, but UC4 really isn't impressive at all.
Thank god.
>They really fucked up on the xbox one
They really did
Blue Shift, Opposing Force, Half Life Deathmatch, Ricochet, Team Fortress, Counter Strike, Sven Coop
You will never play this again like you did once
I'm tempted to say Quake 2 on the PSOne. It's been over a decade but I remember it looking pretty damn good.
I remembered this video explaining with detail the technical feats that Ridge Racer 5 achieved, an that was a launch title.
can someone explain how uncharted 4 wins this? like, how? it looks good?
Starfox Adventures
Chronicles of Riddick (Xbox)
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (Xbox)
God of War 1 & II
Twilight Princess (Cube)
RE4 (Cube)
The Last of Us (PS3)
God of War: Ascension
Red Dead Redemption (360)
Uncharted 4
Gears of War 4
Killzone Mercenary
DOOM (PS4)
What is the benefit of doing that?
No. The Order and Doom are way better from a tech standpoint.
>How the fuck they managed to get that running decently on there is beyond me
The pop in was so ludicrous that you could crash into invisible objects if you drive or fly too fast, so no, it still had a shitload of problems.
FEAR
it uses some pretty sophisticated rendering techniques, probably the most "bleeding edge" of anything released on consoles
the GPU accelerated physics in the market shootout and subsequent chase are pretty cool
...
The order renders at a significantly lower resolution and has dogshit IQ thanks to the bilinear texture filtering. Also the environments are incredibly simple compared to Uncharted 4.
DOOM is impressive but it's still just the PC version on medium settings
It won't. No need waste your hope on it.
>Port is a pile of shit
>Impressive on a technical level but so vastly inferior to playing HL2 on literally anything else
>Still the only way I can play HL2 and have fun
I will never understand it.
Never played that Black game, but it looked rather impressive for PS2.
I will see at E3, since they finally decided to drop that TV shit they been shoving down our throats since 2009 went back to gaming to match a PC like their first two Xboxes, I'm interested again.
Uncharted 4
Game sucks but the amount of detail in the animations and visual technology is very impressive
>inb4 30fps
honestly its one of the only games that manages to make it work, it stays at a steady 30fps 99% of the time too unlike most other "30fps" games.
And you will be disappointed. Xbox is fucking dead dude, move on. Almost every exclusive is being ported to PC and there are rumors that the Scorpio is going to be the final Xbox.
I'll add to your list:
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Sonic 3D (Mega Drive)
Metropolis Street Racer (Dreamcast)
Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)
There is really no reason to go KB+M if it ain't competetive, gamepads are just made for playing.
>Almost every exclusive is being ported to PC
No one gives a fuck about exclusives and when will you PCucks learn that the Xbone , Scorpio and beyond is being treated like PCs now. Starting with Scorpio Microsoft will release a PRE-built PC every 4 years that's a generation gap from their last console. Xbone and beyond will have forward compatibility with future Xboxes until it's no longer strong enough to handle those games, all future Xboxes will have backwards compatibility with all Xboxes including the original so gamers would never leave those games behind. When the flying fuck will you understand this?
Holy shit a real-life xbot.
>No one gives a fuck about exclusives and when will you PCucks learn
Everybody gives a fuck about exclusives. People bought Xbox's just for Halo.
Not even going to respond to the rest of your shitty bait. Enjoy your (You).
not him, but there are a lot of people who have brand loyalty to xbox so i don't think they'll move to playstation or switch to pc
And it still looks better than UC4 and it's simplistic rendering and lightning
>Everybody gives a fuck about exclusives. People bought Xbox's just for Halo
Yeah but times have changed and people buy systems for multiplats. Multiplatform games outsold all PS and Xbox exclusives this gen, so third party games sells consoles. and stop shilling PC every fucking thread you damn PCuck. I'm going to go see if that who is the worst fanbase thread still up, you PCucks are on the same level as Sony faggots, you should marry each other. Never seen a bunch of cucks so ass blasted that people would buy a console over a PC.
I have only ever played half life on PS2
wtf they never ported the goat co-op decay to PC I never know
Add to that:
Pitfall (atari 2600)
Dead or alive paradise (psp)
Project diva x (ps vita)
Resident Evil 2 for Nintendo 64
>Yeah but times have changed and people buy systems for multiplats
All of which run worse on the xbone?
>and stop shilling PC every fucking thread you damn PCuck
Where, in any of my replies, did i shill PC? When i said that almost every xbox exclusive is being ported to PC? Sorry facts upset you.
>I'm going to go see if that who is the worst fanbase thread still up, you PCucks are on the same level as Sony faggots, you should marry each other. Never seen a bunch of cucks so ass blasted that people would buy a console over a PC.
Ok cool, and while you do that hop on over to this thread
This. How the fuck they fit that whole game with FMV's on a cart is beyond me.
Rendering lots of lights becomes much cheaper.
That's really it honestly. It introduces more limitations than it fixes.
>xbone
Who cares Xbone is a piece of shit console, if you bought one, that's on you.
>Where, in any of my replies, did i shill PC? When i said that almost every xbox exclusive is being ported to PC? Sorry facts upset you.
>Xbox is fucking dead dude, move on. Almost every exclusive is being ported to PC
Sony is shit and I'm not buying any of their shit, Nintendo's consoles have been shit since the GameCube, if you didn't buy GBA and realized that Nintendo's handhelds have become better than their shitty consoles, again that's on you. Scorpio on the other hand looks like a return to roots but I will wait until E3 to see results. I will just wait for the Switch Mini for Nintendo.
>Ok cool, and while you do that hop on over to this thread →
I'm already in that thread too.
