I finished persona 3 about 6 months ago and I'm a little past shadow yukiko(Thanks for making me grind you whore) In 4.

For now,I still like p3's cast,but I'm gonna finish getting most of the cast of p4 before judging.The soundtrack is pretty cool,but i like p3's slightly more.Being able to control other characters is nice.

Japanese have gender specific Pronouns and i'm like 99% sure Naoto uses the male ones, the dub just doesn't bother trying to hide it as much becaus eit's obvious it's a reverse trap to players, not necesarily the characters.

there's two ways to do it, the smart way and the pander to everyone ruining the plot way.

the smart way is include characters who aren't relevant to the story but people liked playing/old characters as arcade mode people with non canon/joke arcade stories, not having them participate in the main story mode.

the pander way is to keep writing the plot to include everyone making everyone have no time for satisfying plot arcs and your plot just holding pattern forever.

you're never going yo see an older p4 cast though, their popularity has evolved them to a state they will forever be in their own time bubble, alluded to occasional but never directly featured to avoid implying something that may set off one part of the fandom
