Square vs Octagon for GG?

Square Gate

There's no reason to ever use an octagon gate

I sort of want to try octagonal gate because of IADing but then I remember I main a charge character in another game and decide against it.

I'm asking BECAUSE I'm having trouble IADing. I play Chun and Urien in SFV and the gate never bothered me.

used to have a square gate on my old stick, decided to get a new stick with an octagonal gate to try it out. End up loving it and using it pretty much exclusively.

I don't really play many charge characters and if you don't main a charge character I don't see the point in using a square gate. That being said charge's still aren't hard with an oct gate.

I wish I had been a part of the community when I got xrd. It's amazing. I love slayer in the most platonic way possible. But my friends kept dragging me back to pcgames and I was too casual to go through another steep, friendless learning curve. Tell me, what's changed in the game since 2015? My stick came with a square, circle, and octogate. Square was installed by default so I switched in the octogate. My input consistency dropped tremendously right away. I gave it some time but still wasn't getting simple shit out like DP motions after a couple days. Put the square gate back in and never looked back.

BBCF is the final game for the franchise, and the game had the best EVO Grand Finals there is. Not giving it the proper sendoff with a Sunday mainstage appearance would be retarded. Xrd still has at least one more full installment left, and Rev2 is just an update similar to an Extend version.

ps4 has more active lobbies and there will be people during peak westcoast , east coast and japan hours,pc has a smaller community but if youre west coast i host lobbies when i can, mostly on weekends, connection is really good coast to coast btw and never went above 5f for me

Real talk I think both games are fine, overall I just prefer Guilty Gear in gameplay and character design.
