It's funny that if the Switch wasn't getting this game...

It's funny that if the Switch wasn't getting this game, this is what the response would look like to bringing up its absence:

>So what? Skyrim is 6 years old, everyone's already played that shit
>Switch doesn't need games from 2 generations ago to sell
>Literally who gives a shit about Skyrim anymore
>No one buys a Nintendo console for multiplats

Instead, we get this:

>SKYRIM ON THE GO, NINTENDOMINATION
>NINTENDO WON
>etc

What's interesting is that the first set of arguments are being used right now by people who are saying it doesn't matter. So essentially, there are two schools of thought: 3rd party matters, and 3rd party doesn't matter. Which argument you use is just a matter of convenience of how it looks for your side

I will now demonstrate this by listing games/series the Switch *isn't* getting:
>Doom
>Fallout 4
>FFXV
>Overwatch
>Assassin's Creed
>Kingdom Hearts
>GTA
>Red Dead Redemption
>Far Cry

This is but a small fraction of the best selling franchises from the last few years.

Now, if 3rd party support is so important, then surely the lack of these games will be detrimental to the Switch. On the other hand, if 3rd party support isn't important, then the presence of Skyrim doesn't matter.

So, which is it? You can't have both.

3rd party wouldn't matter, if Nintendo would get their shit together for five minutes, hire more devs and have an actual steady release of games for their console. They won't do this though, so 3rd party does matter. Switch doesn't have 3rd party and that's exactly why it's going to fail just like the Wii-U.

The only reason you made this thread is because of the announcement though.

You sound pretty butthurt, don't you think?

That being said, we could make a list of 3rd party games Nintendo doesn't get all day, but the matter of fact is that Bethesda is finally supporting Nintendo after a long time of not doing so.

Let's take a wait and see approach and see how year 1 unfolds before making any brash judgements like you're trying to initiate with "which argument is it?" nonsense.

The console isn't even out yet.

I can't imagine any skyrim praising here is anything but ironic. At least I hope.

>The only reason you made this thread is because of the announcement though.
>You sound pretty butthurt, don't you think?
How am I butthurt?

I am 100% sure that if this was a reality where Switch wasn't getting Skyrim, you couldn't use "Hahahah it doesn't have Skyrim!!" as an insult because you'd get laughed off the board. Yet conveniently, now that it has Skyrim, it's apparently everything everyone ever wanted. It's a ridiculous double standard is all.

I mean, imagine if I said Switch doesn't have GTA5. You'd laugh it off as completely irrelevant, right?

>>SKYRIM ON THE GO, NINTENDOMINATION
>>NINTENDO WON
>>etc

Who the fuck is saying that?

Nobody would make that claim because it's old, unless you're referring to Skyrim remastered, in which case you may have a point.

Besides, Zelda BotW is looking to be Nintendo's Skyrim, if the high reception is anything to go by.

The matter of fact is, a company that previously didn't support Nintendo for a long time is finally stepping up to the plate.

Let's wait and see what happens before we criticize the platform for not having X game since it may just get X game in the future.

But then people will just holler "years old ports amirite!?"

Any case, this thread is silly and you should feel silly for even considering making it.

Nobody on Sup Forums cares about Skyrim for the Switch, you know that right? The people who care about Skyim have already played it, numerous times.

You could say that about any game on any system.
Like when Bayonetta wasn't coming to PS4/Xbox people got mad for a month or two and then started to act like it wouldn't be good anyway.

>SKYRIM ON THE GO, NINTENDOMINATION
literally every single person on this dumb fucking website that says this is being sarcastic or trolling

which you know, because you're also trolling

>Kingdom Hearts

Nintendo has gotten a few of them though

>Guys, nobody on Sup Forums shitposts. Every single post is genuine and honest.
Wow thanks OP you really opened my eyes!
I'm going to go out and buy every Ubisoft and Bethesda title right now!

OP is, and maybe a few blind fanboys. That's about it.

That's how fanboys work OP.
>PS4 library is mostly multiplatform
>ps4? More like shit sucks! Only exclusives matter!
>Switch getting Skyrim
>FUCK YEAR SYRIM ON THE GO

>vita getting indies and ports
>shita has no games. Indishit and ports are shit, not games!
>Switch getting ports and indies
>Fuck yeah, portable indies and ports? Definitive edition nigga! I love Switch I love indies I love ports! Based Nintendo.

I commute to work two hours every day. I am serious about playing Skyrim on the Switch. You faggots are just jealous that I make $80k a year and get to enjoy AAA gaming experiences on the go. The Switch is truly the pinnacle of Nintendo consoles.

This is really making me think

>Its not even the complete edition
Laughing my ass off

>sonygger playing the victim as usual
But Sup Forums is NintendoGAF

Tbqh, Skyrim on the go is actually somewhat big deal...

But that's my opinion and you might disagree or agree with it,,,

everyone plays the victim here

The 80k/y would be nice but I do not envy having to play a trash game 2-4 hours each work day

>You faggots are just jealous that I make $80k a year
Yet you are pissing your life away on Sup Forums.

That image is a mock up. We don't know what version of Skyrim the Switch is actually getting until Bethesda shows us actual footage from the Switch version and talks about features

Serious question, will Skyrim run smoothly on the Switch? Nintendo hasn't placed a priority on hardware for a long time.

>selling your life to a corporation
>playing shit games on your 2+ hour commute
>spending what little time is left of your day shitposting on Sup Forums
I do not envy you in the slightest

It'll probably run at 30fps with slight dips during combat with a lot of animations. So, probably not much different than other consoles that can play it.

The Switch is about twice as powerful as a 360 when docked. It will likely not be able to handle the Special Edition

The thing about Skyrim on the go, is the fact that it's literally that.
Even though the game is 6 years old now, it really says a lot (and is technically boast worthy) when you can have a game as big as skyrim (and even more so BotW) on what is basically a handheld system.
People mock the switch for not posing as powerful as a PS4/Xbone. But none of that really matter when Nintendo has now essentially made a portable console that has the power of a PS3/WiiU.

Ass creed is totes gonna be on it

The Vita already proved that the market for a console-tier handheld just isn't there
No one wants them but autists

>Nintendo has now essentially made
Nvidia did, not Nintendo.
