As a backer, I'm generally concerned this game is going to crash and burn into mediocrity.
The soundtrack so far has been pretty bland (besides the David Wise song), they've only showcased like 2 or 3 levels since it's reveal, and the levels have all been Banjo Tooie bloated tier instead of something nice and condensed like the Banjo Kazooie levels.
It doesn't look bad per se... but it sure as hell doesn't look like it will be a great return to form either. I'm expecting it will wind up being a 6 or 7/10 game that Sup Forums will blow out of proportion and try to act like it's another Tortanic/MN9/NMS.
Easton Russell
>As a Backer Well then, let's get this post out of the way. Post your receipt.
Wyatt Price
I agree. Like you said i'm worried that they're falling for the banjo tooie and DK 64 trap with the expansive but empty levels. Having big levels to explore is fine, but they should remember that this is a platformer. Tight platforming is a must. And that casino level had some really flat level design.
Of course i'll reserve full judgement till the game launches but still. Its concerning.
Anthony Jones
As a backer I knew this was doomed to mediocrity from the beginning but I backed it anyway just for the nostalgia, and maybe for the current generation of kids to enjoy.
Owen Butler
Backed it too and I'm disappointed from what they've showed. The casino level was bland as fuck, design and music wise. The characters, sounds and overall quality also seems really lackluster.
Unless it turns out better than expected, that'll be my first and last ever backing
Justin Walker
Why? So Sup Forums can be all >hurf durf giving money to kickstarter in current year
Ryan Moore
I'm worried the levels wont be big enough actually. Imagine a true open-world platformer with miles and miles platforming to enjoy. That's all I want. Is it too much to ask?
Cameron Clark
Gee it's almost like your nostalgia got the better of you and you backed a game for a terrible genre.
Xavier Powell
One big problem is the lack of interesting enemies. In the Banjo games, every enemy required a different strategy to defeat.
Juan Flores
At least it won't be as bad as Mighty No. 9. That counts for something, right?
Jaxon Cruz
Nope. To assure that you aren't some autistic sperg just making another falseflag/bait thread like everything else on the board. I don't give a shit where you spend your money and anyone who does is autistic and/or poor and lazy. Now receipt.
Jaxson Nelson
And why should I have to prove myself to you? You can either take my word for it or don't, I don't give a fuck.
Joshua Parker
False flagging confirmed.
Hudson Foster
All right, you autistic little subhuman. Play with fire, get burned. I'm reporting you to the mods.
Jason Williams
>Why should I have to prove myself to you? You don't have to. Just don't use the term "As a backer" when you aren't and can't back up your claims.
Justin Fisher
To be fair the enemy variety in Tooie wasn't that great either compared to Kazooie.
And coincidentally it seems Yooka Laylee is more inspired by Tooie than Kazooie the more we see of it.
Christopher Campbell
>In the Banjo games, every enemy required a different strategy to defeat The hell? Most just slowly bounded toward you and were killable by anything. The only ones I can think of that can't be wonderwinged or egg spammed are Rocknuts and the snowmen with top hats. Oh, and that fake porthole in RBB whose invincibility thoroughly and inexplicably trumps yours I guess
Landon Taylor
>different strategy to defeat All I ever did was Rat-a-Tat 90% of the enemies. What are you talking about?
Isaac Collins
I dont think they told the guy what the levels are when making the music.
The casino music sounds like generic grasslands type shit
Grayson Wilson
>OP wants to discuss game >retard wants to report for being on topic
Kill yourself
Carson Murphy
>OP makes a claim >It's false >People should be happy that he made a thread at all Shoo.
Mason Ross
>fixed release date >decent/good graphics >solid idea >wiiu version owners can pick steam release or get their money back id rather have a mediocre banjo & kazooie 3 than no game at all
Dominic Peterson
Then hide the fucking thread and kill yourself then, Christ.
Andrew Hughes
I can tell which posts in this thread are yours. Why are you so petty? Are you an ass-blasted backer as well who's trying to stay blindly optimistic after that shitty casino video?
Jack Thomas
>reporting A literal reddit faggot.
Jordan Smith
Actually, I didn't back the game (Because I knew how readily people get burned by shitty games coming out of Kickstarter) and wish I had. OP is a raging homosexual tho. And now please point out all my posts excluding this one and the last one.
Kevin Brown
It'll prove one thing and one thing only. We need to stop revisiting these old memories of ours. We used to love these games when we were younger and it needs to stay like that.
Let's get remasters instead.
Luis Davis
>a diff strategy Nigga you either rolled or rat a tat'd everything
Cameron Campbell
As long as they don't make a Cloud Cuckooland 2.0 i'll never regret backing this game.
Camden Perez
The people defending OP's concern trolling are cancer. This shit may be fine for you, but I'm not going to allow my life to be dominated by miserable pricks who think they can pull this shit and get away with it. You're either with me or against me.
Levi Reed
I suppose I am against you then. I think YL will be if not really good, enjoyable.
Gabriel Nelson
if it fails, it's not going to be as severe as MN9/NMS, and will probably be average at worst. at least they know what they are doing.
but of course Sup Forums is going to overblown this and drive it to the ground.
Sebastian Miller
They're autistic Yooka laylee fanboys
I know, it's crazy this game already has a full on obsessed defense force.
The fanbase is already trash and a majority of them are dumb furfags.
Game looks like trash, far worse than Mighty umber 9 but hey. They're in denial after donating so much
William Stewart
You got shit on in elementary school for tattling, and now the internet is your own virtual playground for you to police. Congrats on being worse than the average third grader.
Owen Watson
If this fails, kickstarter is dead
Jaxson Richardson
>As a backer Liar.
Wyatt Lewis
I wouldn't say it's dead but crowd funded video games are making a lot less money now.
Kayden Wood
>far worse than Mighty umber 9
Samuel Baker
Why the fuk did you back it then?
Don't cry like a little bitch writing your whiny posts on here when it's completely your fault for giving money to something when you don't know what the final product is like. Fucking idiot
Anthony Stewart
You get banned for saying you've reported someone newfag
Grayson Torres
Nostalgia generally has people remember the good things and not the bad.
And he forgot that collectathons are a shit. A SHIT.
John Ward
it really does look boring as shit
why are people who buy videogames are so fucking retarded that they keep falling for this shit over and over
Carson Jones
THIS FAGGOT
Ian Powell
I think Playtonic fell for the Sandbox meme like everyone else, because that's the vibe I'm getting from both Tribalstack Tropics and Capital Cashino.
Tyler Russell
It also would explain why the game has less levels than Kazooie or Tooie.
Daniel Martin
I enjoy Collectathons and think YL looks fun, albeit has some stupid design choices. >The female doctor's mouth doesn't move at all when you're talking to her in this day and age >The helicopter is way too fucking loud >Helicopter is mandatory to not make collecting some Feathers extremely tedious for that level (like the ones over the Fountain) and mandatory for some challenges, but that at least makes sense >The transformations all look really stupid, sticking Yooka and Laylee together into a single being instead of just Yooka into something with Laylee along for the ride like in BK and Tooie >Cashino's floor is painfully empty since all the action is above them, but even so, you could have condensed the level and made it more vertical to reduce travel time across the map To name a few.
