Remember when games actually came out in a timely manner after announcement?

Remember when games actually came out in a timely manner after announcement?

Remember when their games were good?

Probably why he used the squaresoft logo

But their best game is under their Square-Enix logo.

remember when they didn't depend on one guy for all of their major projects?

Remember when games were announced a few months tops before launch?

Times have changed, as has technology and what is expected in a game.

>KH3 started development in 2013
>there's still multiple worlds they haven't even touched yet

what the FUCK

games were smaller and easier to make back then.

they also fucking sucked 9 times out of 10. everyone thinks back with nostalgia goggles about platforms like NES, SNES, PS1 etc, without remembering the fact that 99% of the shit that was released on those platforms were absolutely horrid garbage.

Only thing made back then that was horrid garbage was you.

releashing shit like this was commonplace back in the day. you wouldn't know because you're under 30.

you had to swim in shit through dozen of titles before you could find something that even approached being good back then. again, I don't expect anyone on this board to know that.

>Dig back to the Atari when you explicitly referenced consoles like the SNES and PS1
If you wanted to point out the 3rd parties that tried to make a quick buck on the Atari then you would have in that post rather than back peddling like that.

WHY WON'T THEY MAKE A BUSHIDO BLADE 2 REMASTER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

But even compared to other developers, they are extremely slow.

do you want me to list the dozens of horrible NES and SNES games? those platforms have a catalogue of over 1,000+ games. most of them are shit.

I really don't care about an autistic grocery list about banana flexibility. It is hard to take anyone on this board seriously when they think some games that are average are horrid. I am sure you have some really terrible ones in there, but not all of them are gutter trash.

like I said earlier, you're under 30 years old. you are far too young to remember how much literal shovelware existed on the NES. you have no frame of reference for the type of shit I'm talking about. just on movie/TV show IPs alone there are probably close to 100 (if not more) horribly made games whose entire purpose was to sell based on established IPs in other media. these were bad games that were seriously phoned in, almost no effort put into them whatsoever, whose entire selling point was "hey, if you liked the TV show/movie, you should buy the game!".

did you like Ghostbusters? NES had a shovelware Ghostbusters game for you.

did you like Conan the Barbarian? NES had a shovelware Conan game for you.

did you like Back to the Future? NES had a shovelware Back to the Future game for you.

did you like Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure? NES had a shovelware Bill and Ted's game for you.

I can't stress to you how common those games were back in the day. this is just a very short list off the top of my head right now. again, it's hard to understand what I'm talking about if you didn't live through this.

It wasn't like that in Japan though, Burger-kun. They released quality titles like Dragon Quest on a regular basis.

>They released quality titles like Dragon Quest on a regular basis.

I never said there weren't quality titles released. I said those quality titles were swamped by overwhelming amounts of shit. You can't offset 500 bad titles with a Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and a Zelda here or there.

think of it this way: if you had a magical slot machine that rewarded you a random NES title from the entire 600+ library of games on that platform every time you pulled the lever, you'd get a shit game 9 out of 10 times. that's pretty much exactly what I argued in this thread:

>games were smaller and easier to make back then.
>they also fucking sucked 9 times out of 10.

>less than three years between FFVI on the SNES and FFVII on the PS1

The absolute madmen.

...

I remember but I also remember 3d characters only having 20 polygons.

Remember when they actually could make games other than final fantasy?

OH I MEMBA!! MEMBA' CHRONO TRIGGER?

lol you got mad

>Hey guys remember the golden age of gaming in the mid 90s with all the cool well known developers like neversoft and squaresoft?

>HURR HERE'S A SHITTY GAME I LEARNED ABOUT FROM AVGN THAT CAME OUT IN THE EARLY 80s LOL THIS SOMEHOW PROVES UR OPINION IS SHIT AND IM SO SMART

You're fucking delusional. Absolutely no one in this thread thinks the "golden days" were the atari shovelware days except for your dumbass. It was much easier to find great games in the PS era.

I didn't mention AVGN. if I wanted to mention a shit game he sperged out about I'd mention Milon's Secret Castle. but I didn't mention that, did I? but hey, I'll mention it now since you're bringing him into this. so there's another shit NES game for you.

the NES had over 600 games. most of them were shit. greentexting at me in caps doesn't change that.
