Not bad, I think it is a split between two, because Link has a duality of sorts. When in Hyrule he was a man in a child's body. When he finsihed and got sent back in time he had seen some shit and was a man in a child's body. So Kafei represents one part of him and Tingle represents the other

Fierce Deity is a buddhist god, or a god based off buddhist gods. Everyone knows this, there's really nothing you can add to the character and you can't put him anywhere that doesn't clash thematically.

To clarify, the theory is that they made Majora's mask since the backstory in the game talked about a tribe that made and used it for forbidden magic or something to that effect. I don't FD is part of that theory.

I'm playing MM3D right now, and I'm at the Great Bay Coast. I don't fucking get it, why did they feel the need to change so many things, when OoT3D was left virtually untouched by comparison?

This might just be nostalgia talking, but so many things about this remake are grating on me. The now overly generous save points, the constant interruptions from the Bomber's Notebook. And don't even get me started on the Zora swimming. I'm also insulted they changed the first two bosses into borefests typical of most Zelda games.

I think I might be going crazy, but I'm 90% sure they changed some dialogue you have with the ranch girls.

It's because Majora's Mask is Aonuma's least favorite zelda and he wanted to try and make it subtly worse. Not worse in a way that nobody will want to play it or the original will be considered better, but worse in a way that can be argued to be better by comparing the flaws with the pros and taking advantage of the subjective nature of fun. This would cause division and ruin among the fanbase and make Majora's Mask the worst fanbase in the eyes of the people, eliminating any sphere of influence they might have.

Don't know about the dialogue but all the other changes are for the worst.

The first boss went from being one of the most open ended bosses in the 3d series, having a lot of ways to fight him, to being formulaic as shit. The second boss went from being the most fun boss in the series to tedious because you constantly had to remove the mask. The third boss was also made tedious and lacked the multiple approaches you could take. The fourth boss is the only one you could argue was improved but I felt the controls were clunky and it took for fucking ever. Zora swimming being changed was a travesty. Bombers were fucking annoying when they ran up to you, shaking their little fists like faggots.

They did a few good things. I like being able to pick an exact time for song of dubs. The new quest was neat. And, it's a portable MM. That alone makes it still a great game to me
