I found the dynamic between car, chocobo, and foot travel very fluid and useful in this game. I don't recall if you were ever able to summon your chocobo directly in previous FFs (I know in some you could not, you had to go to where you left it, which made it less useful), but the long-range, mid/cross-country, walking distance combination was very interesting for traversing FFXV
How do I summon (xbone)?? I rented for 7 days and when I went back to my car I lost the chocobo's.
Other than that yeah I feel like the car was wasted potential because it was more or less on rails and didn't give you much freedom. But then again this game is basically 10 years old so for the age it's pretty impressive.
Right trigger, then hit right then call chocobo
Unless you are talking about rerenting one, just go to a rental place at any gas station.
The whole game is wasted potential
Holy shit I feel like an idiot. I'm 10 hours in and I could have sworn it said hold RB and press right on the D Pad. I was getting so fucking pissed.
hey kid, come here a sec
Game is trash move on.
...
the chocobo and moogle festival is cute
I really enjoyed it but I don't like how Square is treating this game like an mmo with events and raising the level cap.
Iris is waifu
>you can spend THREE POINT SIX MILLION ARENA MEDALS on a magitek generator that eliminates the need for fuel
>in a part of the game where you already have all fuel efficiency upgrades
>and getting gas is 10 bucks for a full tank
>and you get a flying car with unlimited fuel in post-game, which is like 20 minutes away after that Altissa clusterfuck
They're making the car have off road driving in a future update.
The gaudy as fuck mythic colors, Luna stickers and Amano wrap made the car absolutely worth it. Not to mention, watching Noctis react awkwardly to Iris' equally awkward flirting attempts.
It could've worked, rails and all, if there were more areas/the map was bigger. As it is, the whole "road trip" device(both story and gameplay-wise) just seems pointless.
>that suspension
I'm pretty sure these guys just googled "what do niggers drive" and put that in the game.
The Regalia is based on the Cadillac Ciel which is a concept car.
>based on a cadillac
>"real life" verison is an audi

>game has open world
>game gives you plenty of options to skip having to travel in the open worldr
What's even the point? If it's not interesting enough to walk through then maybe you shouldn't make it open world in the first place. Why do they keep making these games?
Noctis's car in the movie is an Audi, the Regalia isn't the Audi used in Kingsglaive.
Regalia = Regis's car.
Audi = Noctis's car only used in Kingsglaive.
It seems like they originally envisioned fuel being an actual resource, but then lame focus testers caused them to make it trivially cheap to refill.
It is interesting for a while, but eventually when you start going back and forth between a lot of the same places, having the fast travel option is nice.
