>Fake hype
>Bad gameplay

>Gets 4.7k in less than 30 min
I bet he has less charisma than half of Sup Forums and still is get paid for doing nothin but playin videogames, i dont get this shit and im a fucking psychologist. Are nerds so desperate for attention?
This ugly mother fucker is getting paid by dumb nerds

>im a fucking psychologist
I don't see how you feel you're better than him
>Are nerds so desperate for attention?
Yes
He's entertaining, unlike 100% of Sup Forums
I don't get it either, my friend livestreams for no reason, has less than 10 viewers who were probably just clicking shit at random and people still donate money to him.
What do you think Max's salary is?
It's entertainment, that's how it works. Stupid people like stupid things, and there's a lot of stupid peple, see Bazinga!
>psychologist
>literally a throwaway degree
lets be honest if you thought """great gameplay""" (speedrunners, justin) warranted views on twitch you did no research, hence youre a shit profession
>Sup Forums is 100% unentertaining but you still come here 16 hours a day you fucking loser.
Is that Chad Kroeger?
op btfo
>psychologist
>research about videogame celebrities
He doesn't have a salary.
He lives off shaking a can and doing a performance.
He gives attention to fighting games so that's cool by me
If you're so cool, just go do it yourself. Otherwise you just look like a sad, jealous little man.
>see random fighting game have a lot of viewers
>wow there must be a cool tournament going on
>it's Max streaming while screaming racial slurs and raking in money while a black man is crucified on a burning cross in the background
LOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPH
ayyylmaaaaaooooo
The naive part is you think most of those go through, Chargebacks are a huge thing with donations, you have a 6 month to a year grace period to cancel it in most cases due to a bunch of loopholes. Not to mention the outrageous tax applied to these donations that mean this fucker is getting hit with a minimum 30% taken out of each and every dollar he sees.
I'm sure he still makes good money, but people are too naive when they see a 5k donation hit the screen then don't see the reality of it on the other side where it either never clears, or they get a huge chunk taken out.
Man I know Nicolas Cage was a terrible actor, but I didn't think he'd fallen this far
first few eps of assist me were comfy
then he went full shill mode
Came here to ask this.
Nickelback is Sup Forums culture now.
lol some nerd makes more in 30 minutes by saying names during Donkey Kong Country than you do in two months, stay mad.
This is the saddest sentence I've ever read.
Yeah thats why every single fightin game has a dying community and tournaments has so few people watchin.
>But he helps givin attention
Shut the fuck up, he just make money from fightin games.
saw him play a little bit of final fantasy tactics.
what kind of fucking idiot makes a chemist with a gun and doesn't put knight skills as a secondary job?
Max, that's fucking who.
hey you know what is a great idea? making my 30 Faith generic into a black mage
fuck this guy.
...
He has a Saudi to send him money whenever he feels like it.
Or is it someone from Kuwait I forget.
Nerds are desperate for attention, some at least. I worked in a game store for a few years and when you'd get the obviously attention-starved guys they'd chat your ear off until you were politely upfront about it (I was) or just let them awkwardly hover like other people.
Max seems like a decent guy but his online and business persona has taken over, resulting in a self-caricature or a hobby becoming a job, even if its pay isn't terribly great. It's much like a service industry job where you want to smile and please the customer so they will return. He's pandering, non-threatening and people come back. Some nerds need companionship so they watch and toss money. Nothing that complicated, OP. Just please get out more.
Fuck, does Sup Forums always turn people into cynical bastards? Not disagreeing with you but I'd rather be naive and content replaying the games I like than turn into this.
I didnt know about this guy till i got home and wanted to watch some of nioh on twitch, got to the most viewed stream and he was there.
london?
>The naive part is you think most of those go through,
Lirik confirmed on twitter that he makes like 300k/year though. The man is considering buying a fucking Tesla.
You sound incredibly jealous.
hes getting hell of succ
Yes a im a psychologist but my area is organizational not clinic so its not my "duty" to know about e-celebs nor research about people buddy
I fucking hate Nickleback.
There are some exceptions, I'd be willing to say he makes most of his money of advertisers and partnerships over donations, Lirik is one of the biggest streamers on twitch period. Advertisers see this and are willing to throw crazy money at him.
I'm just saying the misconception that every streamer on twitch makes ridiculous money is overblown. If you are say a lirik streamer sure, you probably make crazy money, if you are someone like max you probably make decent money. But I'm just pointing out that most people are naive to how things really work. Its not some easy street where you make hundreds of thousands a year off of a 4k viewer average.
Hell give it 5 years and see how Twitch goes the youtube route and does everything they possibly can to get a huge cut of what those streamers get. They've been pushing that way ever closer every year.
Max is an awesome dude. Met him once. I actually used to work for and with his mother. He's a hardworking dude when he's not on stream, he's making videos, works on games (he's working on Killer Instinct on top of others) and has relationships all over the fighting game development community. I gotta give props to the guy, he's really figured out his niche and brand.
I replay older games. I'm still discovering games I missed that didn't age well, but you have to realize streaming becomes a business venture after a certain point. There isn't really any cynicism but perhaps skepticism. Why would you accept money without maximizing profits? It's striking while the iron is hot while being the lucky guy in the right place.
Good for him, honestly. He's on the pulse. I watched an old BloodBorne stream and while he seemed hyperactive it was neat to see some new DLC bosses.
HOW THE HELL'D WE WIND UP LIKE THIS?
OP's just jealous
nigga he has a wife and friends.....i don't have any of that shit
He has some skill in content creation. But he rarely does that anymore and just streams because he rarely does that anymore.
The content he used to create that made him popular was decently produced and no on could match it's production values at the time.
Also, twitch has set up deals for the most popular streamers that are in their favor. And besides it's not the one guy who donates10k that mattersit's the 50 people over a couple of days that donate 100 dollars or so.
The guy from nickelback is making games now?
I don't give him any money but I like him. He seems like a nice guy. Why should I hate him because he found a way to make easy money and he has an audience that likes his content?
Because entitled Sup Forums users routinely think that the world ought to owe them something for nothing other than having the insight of a fucking god on all matters, mundane and divine.
Doesn't he actually work as a professional editor though. Like he made some KI trailers I think.
THIS IS HOW YOU REMIND ME
why does anyone care what the guy from nickelback thinks about games?
you sound very upset op
>Are nerds so desperate for attention?
If I could make as much money as he does for doing that I'd do it too.
