You could give the demo a try. And supposedly the Wii U version is getting an update that allows use of the Pochy amiibo.

Wii U is the definitive edition. The 3DS is just for portability. That and for the sweet amiibo. I went and bought both.

This game looked so fucking amazing and I wanted a Wii U just for it. Then I got super hype when it was announced for the 3ds then I was confused when it was announced for February, then disappointed when the switch was revealed for a month later. Now I'm upset they still haven't mentioned anything about a virtual console or 3ds games on the switch.

Wii U version is way, way prettier and has a better hub world.

Overall though it's a fantastic game and you can't go wrong with whichever platform. Really hoping this gets a Switch release but I doubt it will.

The fuckin thing is dropping in less than a month.

Download the 3ds version from freeshop and buy the wiiu version if you like it

Yoshi games always seem to be like that. Easy to just beat and go through, but challenging when you try to 100% it.

Personally, I'd go for the Wii U version.
Local co-op in this game is very enjoyable and it looks gorgeous.

I've cheked 3ds version and its ugly as fuck. Get it only if you cant play Wii U one.

Poochy Amiibo works in WiiU version, got 'em both and tried. Such an adorable little fuckface.

WiiU all the way though... this game went so hard in on he visuals, removing all of that for the 3ds version feels criminal
