Even the soundtrack is superb

The Witcher 3 is shit and so are you.

Game's great, but not perfect
>biodrones still exist
it can't be ""prefect", if the 1st game was way superior.
The developers actually gave a shit about the game they were making.
Most companies are so large they just mass produce shit for annual profit. CDPR actually care.
Too many flaws to be perfect
I'm not going to hate on Witcher 3 since it's an excellent game that I put hundreds of hours in, but it's really not perfect as combat gets extremely dull when you played it too much. I still have tonnes of content left to explore with the DLCs, and while the story, setting and characters still intrigue me the combat was beginning to feel like a chore and that's why I put it down.
The DLC's are genuinely better than the main game I think
I wish I could get into it. It looks great, sounds great, but the generic fantasy thing is really off putting. I could only make it through the griffon and a little bit onward. I did play on the hardest difficulty and even though that did make things more interesting it still wasn't too appealing.
Geralt is one of the most boring protagonists I've ever seen and I like playing as straight white males.
He grows on you
Go to a barber and change his hair or something
The fantasy world really is generic, but it's the humans that carries the game. The different kingdoms/factions and their conflicts, as well as the characters you meet. I actually feel Witcher might've been even better as a more low-fantasy game where you seldom came across the occult and a monster appearing was a big deal. There's a bit of a clash with how serious and well written the human characters are, and how standard and silly the magic things are. Hearing Jen chanting her spells in an obviously phony language is extremely cringe, and then you sit down and have a heart to heart that actually suceeds in being emotional. It's a weird contrast.
It's really good but I wouldn't call it perfect
Inventory screen was a total ugly mess
The alchemy and crafting systems were also a mess. who takes the time to go searching for all the parts/ingredients when you can just buy better equipment? It's anti-fun.
My first witcher game was 3
I actually just wanted a game where I could pretend it was LOTR
Turned out to be the best game i've ever played
AY LA LA LEY on repeat for 70 hours is superb? Alright.
>tfw you will never play it for the first time ever again
Hardly perfect, but they've grown TREMENDOUSLY as a developer from a barely working game powered by jury-rigged Aurora engine that was already ancient even back then.
>mfw I've had it for about six months but I'm always too busy to want to play it
Should I start now? I got lots of free time.
yes
First area is a bit boring though
Obviously you dingus.
>The developers actually gave a shit about the game they were making.
I think they really wanted a good send-off for Geralt. And yeah, they supported it like crazy. Game got patched in the first two weeks more than 90% of games get in their lifetime, MMOs notwithstanding.
>Even the soundtrack is superb
The soundtrack is the only good thing in that game
>dat feel when they wanted the first witcher to be a much bigger open game, but lacked experience so they settled for less
>it was also supposed to get multiple expansions, but those plans fell through for financial reasons
user.. take your time with it. Treat her right, savour that experience. Do literally everything, every little sidequest, every marker on the maps.. DO IT FOR ME user.
nah im just gonna follow a strategy guide.
>straight white male
Kys.
Did any of you guys play one and never move on because of the dramatic change in gameplay between games? The combat in one looks a bit janky but it was perfect.
Left click left click right click
You have to grow up first or you just might have autism that you can't get into a world cause it requires too much investment.
Is 3 your first witcher game? They aren't meant for people with short attention span that only care about gameplay.
They already had a good story and lore from various authors
