Am I the only one who enjoyed playing as a normie trapped in a crazy family's swamp hut rather than a cheesy G.I. Joe infiltrating a city full of zambies?

>a normie
Ethan is likely an Umbrella spy and/or scientist.

Also, neck yourself.

>Ethan
>normie

Yeah. I wish all the molded stuff had been downplayed. I really liked the simplicity of trying to escape a crazy family's spooky estate.

more enemy variaty would have been great

Fighting drunken hicks was more fun when they were spanish. This just feels like a bad Grindhouse film.

But I like bad grindhouse films

the entire series feels like a collection of bad horror movies though

Yeah, I'm already tired of the molded after they first three.

With how great the character models can look I have no idea why they chose to go with a literal faceless enemy thats just a black mass of goop.

Shooting is fun but man these things have to be the most boring monsters ever to shoot at.

Yeah. It was a great Evil Dead game.

>normie
Normie?
>pinpoint accuracy with any weapon
>athlete
>nerves of steel
>almost immune to pain
>maintains a sense of humor regardless of all the shit that he faces

I don't know man, he seems like a G.I. Joe to me

other than the the dissection room where they ambush you they're pretty much a non-threat because you can knife them between very slow attacks. the only time I ever felt not in control was at the barge where you lose the knife and only have a few handgun shots. the knife ruins any tension in the game and throws ammo conservation out the window save for boss fights and the four-legged ones.

He's infected, and thus not entirely human anymore.

He's infected, and thus not a normie anymore.

The specific context? Meh, it works I guess. The general idea of a small outbreak isolated in Bumfuck, Nowhere instead of Raccoon City #17? Sure, I dig that.

>not a resident evil game argument
just because the game is not how you think a resident evil game is supposed to be does not make it NOT a resident evil game.
RE4 was way more different than 1, 2, and 3 than 7 is.

If they cut jack in half and put one half of him on top of a horse and another below it so that he will regenerate around it so he will be stuck on the horse, would you help jack off the horse?

it was a copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre a then it turned to be a copy of F.E.A.R, very unoriginal and not scary at all, the monsters are slow and i didnt even bother killing them

How do I git gud at this game? I'm having trouble in the basement when have to reach the Dissection room, there are so many monsters everywhere and so little space I end up wasting whatever few ressources I have and get ganked.

Sounds like RE in a nutshell.

Its ok user i guess yyou cant help it so heres my advice
you are such a fag look up a wiki you dumb mother fucking cunt on how to kill your self re re mother fucker

every one complained about fast monsters requiring you to dodge sometimes in RE6. lickers made die hard fans cry "muh QTE rage" lmao

at this point capcom doesnt even care. they know if the game looks good it will sell enough to justify it being developed. as far as graphics go can you actually complain?

No, they made them slow because it has to pander to the VR audience. It was probably a generic SonyVR demo at the start, before they added a couple of "HEY REMEMBER THIS FROM RE" moments in

I felt the same until I saw the giant letters GET SHOTGUN for the missions.

I can't help but feel bored, around the part where The tape has you traverse some worn-down house in the swamp with the mother chasing after you Why do you have a gun if it can't do anything to anyone? All I can do is run. Does it get any better?

>needing the shotgun for that part
scrub

>underagefags

RE games are meant to be like cheap horror movies.

This. that's why they're fun. at least for me. That's why RE5 and 6 don't appeal to me

That last part was too disappointing . I miss jack.

also why no bloodsplatters on the floor when shooting enemies???

In a sense, this. I loved the beginning where I thought I was up against a murderous family of hicks who had somehow become infected with the BOWs virus and thus became murderous monsters. The tension died for me completely when I realized it was all just due to the evil lolis influence and that it turned out the family wuz good boys and dindu nuffin.

hehehe

7.8/10, made me chuckle

you're like half an hour away from torching/shooting the shit out of the old bird

you can run right past almost every zombie in RE2

At least Lucas was a legitimate murderer. Too bad he just kind of disappeared.

>insult a person then repeat their point

...

Go for headshots on the molded, they are good as subtly dodging and side stepping, but just nail them a few times and they go down. Bonus points for kiting them and using your knife, thus saving ammo.

They throw like 4 at you in a row in the basemen, I used almost all of my ammo, but I killed em all.

You don't actually get to kill him?

I love how everyone thinks capcom is writing and planning some hot deep shit behind the scene, no ethan isnt spy or some shit and hell he is probably fucking unemployed.

They already said before the game was out that this time the protagonist is a weak bitch to make the game scarier and the reason why he can shoot and shit is because....its a fucking game.

>a weak bitch
>gets stabbed multiple times and shrugs it off
>has his fucking hand chainsawed off and he barely seems to notice
>has his severed hand literally stapled back on and he never even comments on it
>tanks explosions and getting beaten by super human monsters easily
>survives this whole ordeal with seemingly no permanent damage

Literally the exact opposite of what happened. Kitchen demo made Sony ask Capcom to do the whole game in VR. Originally, it was just a one off thing at first for that demo since Sony needed a cool engine to show off

I'd rather play a cheesy G.I. Joe in a spooky house with some zambies tbqh

No, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I even liked the ship and swamp / salt mine.

People who didn't play in VR couldn't fully appreciate the vertical intensity of the later parts of the game, so I don't blame them for not liking the end areas. It could have benefited from one more puzzle, maybe, but I don't have a problem with how it ended.

>normie
Ethan is 100% autistic
His gf was missing for 3 years and he barely reacts to finding her. He lacks the correct emotions for the situations he is presented with.

if you really think he's a weak bitch during all the game, i can't imagine how a tough guy will act in his shoes

Stop forcing this shit.

what did it matter? for all intensive porpoises it played out the same either way.

>am i the only one around here

Is this 9gag? i want more fun!
