pretty easy bro there was way annoying shit in re4
Oh yeah, I took major damage there from a few hellbeasts and said no mas and moved on
for me the maze in castlevania 64 was more terrifying, in comparison that one is incredibly small and I don't think I ever got lost in it. plus the dogs I think are plaga so you can just flash them
I think the military base on pro difficulty is the more PTSD portion of the game, maybe regenerators.
Demon's Souls 5-2 world.
>Those fucking Giants Goblins
>THE POISON EVERYWHERE
>The fucking swamp not letting you sprint or roll
>Selen Vinland weapon can't be blocked
>The black phantom with the meat cleaver
Holy shit it was bad.
Poison swamps are always the worst areas in souls games. I don't know why they keep using that trope.
>Anything in RE4
>Remotely difficult
At least post the Castle as Leon in Mercenaries.
what will happen if a souls game decides to have an underwater stage? total fucking suffer
...
...
Actual PTSD
Fuck that mission.
If you run without looking to the dogs they won't attack you, how is this even difficult.
Even then, blasting them out of the air with a shotgun right as they lunge at you is incredibly satisfying.
That shit was so hard as a kid, but I did it later and it was easy af.
... fuck.
>for me the maze in castlevania 64 was more terrifying
I knew there were more of us out there.
Nom nom nom
This one is more of a tedious pain in the ass imo
>Finally finish Steamwood
>You get to do it again and it's harder
Still a good game though but it really punished kid me.
>"lemme play GTA: SA. it's been a while"
>remember "CJ, learn to fly" and Zero's bullshit
>Play it on Pc (the first version, not the HD remaster)
>Love it
>Replay it multiple times
>Get it on Wii
>Maze level
Why did they remove it from Pc? Wtf
That is NOT a difficult room.
DELETE THIS

Isn't it skippable? I can't remember
>snipers are placed randomly across the map every time
>the rain
>the curtains in the windows being moved by the wind
>those window covers banging in the wind
>Mission: escort the tank crew
youtube.com
That isn't even that hard
The helicopter part is bullshit on professional though
I got stuck on checkpoint charlie, that bullshit boat racing mission. I'm still so pissed off with it that I can remember its name more than a decade later. I might try and finish it again at some point.
Just bring a shotgun.
...
Isn't Z completely skippable?
Wasn't it in the PC version? From what I've heard they only removed it on Easy mode which console versions don't even have iirc.
...
>maximize my plague resistance
>still get the plague at the same regular intervals regardless
That fucking rollercoaster at dragon shores where you shoot the balloons, fuck that for real. The trolley took me 2-3 tries as an adult but I remember spending a good 30 minutes on the rollercoaster that night. Maybe I was just tired and retarded but I dunno
Unpatched version has an easy exploit to win that race in record time, patches introduced a difficulty setting afterwards. But yeah: 14y/o me was about to give up on the game due to that mission at first.
easy mission
>checkpoint charlie
triggered. for a game about that boating life the boat missions in this game suck. Is this the assest mission for the boat yard or one of umberto's missions?
TIME FOR NEWFAG FILTER

You need that shit to be able to play the game. Driver was hard as fuck. It gets intolerably difficult even just on the third hub. As a kid I had to cheat just to play all the maps
Driver 2 was much, much easier
the frame rate was the only dangerous part about blight town
moved on to what? a different game?
game?
Dark Souls 1
kill yourself
what the fuck ever man that swamp was easy as fuck, you could literally speedrun it. dark souls 1-3 swamps were infinitely worse
Except for this mission.

Everything is on rails and hard-scripted. Even if you get in front of that car you're supposed to chase, it will just phase through you, traffic and obstacles in general. It's literally an unstoppable force in that mission.
Hey man, watch the paint!
trying to do that shit as a kid and not knowing what half of the things on the list even mean is one of my worst gaming experiences
Me and my friends mostly played survivor. But we realize that if you drive up a slope and then stop there is a good chance the cop cars will fly over you and land in a position that makes them unable to move. As long as you don't drive away no new cars can spawn and you can just watch the timer go up.
YOU HAVE EXACTLY 3 SECONDS TO DELET THIS
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
blighttown is the point of the game where you're supposed to come into your own, and start kicking ass. it's only hard if you run too fast and get yourself surrounded.
...
Just break the fucking window
Hey how do you make the image that sharp?
>WHERE ARE YOU? DIE! DIEEEEE!!
Move it Spidey move it
Every mega pokemon after it is fucking brutal but the real worst part of that game is everything between Mega Aerodactyl and Deoxys
That level where you have to defend the statue in resonance of fate
0
I just completed that for the first time in like 13 years. I would always skip it. It's not that hard if you just take it autistically slow and don't get cocky
Got to that part and thought my game was broke. turns out it was...for everybody.
it is in the PC version yeah
The entirety of RE4 is PTSD.
Everytime I replay it, I'm like "Oh fuck this part. Oh fuck, THIS part!"
But for some reason I love the game.
Why? RE4 is easy as fuck on normal and is my go to "chill out" game
...
i get more annoyed whenever I have to do that segment with the bulldozer or whatever
Resident Evil 4 is completely full of this kind of stuff. Even after playing it for the 10th time I still was on edge the entire fucking game because the game always puts you in those kind of situations. You get used to the mechanics obviously but the map design and enemy placement is always so fresh that you never can fully adapt and are always in for a surprise.
thats what makes the game good, theres no filler. Its one set piece after another. Theres never any room to breath.
...
fuck this level, seriously. It's way too long, there are difficult platforming sections that instant kill you and the boss fight is the hardest in the game
>kms hard
>1-4, 4-4, 6-6, 7-2, 8-1
How are there people in this day and age that can't see that RE4 is a 10/10 game? I can't name any other game that is so full of highlights. Hell RE4 is almost just highlight after highlight. Resident Evil 4 is completely flexible in game design, you literally can't detect any formula in the game.
Sometimes in the game there are completely sudden outrageous enviroment changes but somehow it all feels natural with on point transitions. The game gives you the perfect amount of action and breathers inbetween. Opening crates is never annoying, it's fucking zen mode relaxing.
There is no game that has better game design. There is no element in the game where you can say they haven't put thought into this.
Nah, the worst part in Castlevania is the magic nitro. Especially if you didn't know/forgot to release the seal and the game says HAHA DO IT AGAIN FAGIT
That is very true
...
There's a reason RE4 is on every device known to man. It's literally the best video game ever made. Any other opinion is just being a contrarian faggot
I post this here everytiem:
>Indigo Prophecy / Fahrenheit
>the fucking Psych Ward
never again
...
I actually played the remastered version last month and while it sucked it wasn't "hard".
The stealth sections in that game though man good lord.
DSfix
quicktime events are shit
I guess you got PTSD with krauser 2nd fight ?
Never actually played it, never been a big fan of the RE franchise as whole. I can still concede that the game looks amazing if you're into that sort of thing but QTEs are still shit
RE4 is the only game I ever played where the more I think about the game the better it gets.
All the in game quicktime events aren't even real quicktime events, there are just a context sensitive action button which underlines RE4 perfect game design. The cutscene quicktime events are just a minor flaw and they aren't even a real flaw. The only time where they are overused are the krauser fights, and then again, you get one unique death scene for every single failed quicktime in that fight, so why even complain? It literally just adds to the game.
They were used so that you won't relax even in the cutscenes. The devs want you on edge the entire game.
Not him but I save all my magnum shots for this moment so its over quick.
If you never played it, how do you know if it implemented QTEs well or not?
>Buy Wind Waker when it comes out
>stop at triforce quest
>Buy Wind Waker HD after people said they made the triforce quest easier
>still stop at triforce quest
Fuck that guy, he went out of his way to suck fat Earthshaper cock
>that krauser continous qte whenever he appear to melee
Holy fuck, still got me
...
stop anonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
...
...
For some reason I got that mission after acquiring plasma weapons.
Ez pz.
...
>Shotgun
>grenades
If you have PTSD on this part you're bad as vidya
>playing on casual
This whole game was PTSD inducing.
