Is now the time to buy Wii/Wii U stuff?

With the Switch release imminent, is now a good time to buy Wii U games and equipment? Will the prices go down more or will they rise?

I just ordered an original Wii remote plus with a Nunchuck for 42€. I think it's a pretty decent price, especially since controllers in Europe rarely get discounted. Have you found any good Wii U deals recently?

Wii U stuff is just going to get more expensive from here on out. It's still not cheap, but they're as cheap as they're ever gonna be. Wii U is a very collectible system too, since it has so few games and relatively little shovelware.

I agree. This is why I started hunting for good deals. I already got a new copy of Bayonetta 2 for 7€ last year, and hope that I'll soon find another Pro controller for a good price.

Just get a ps4 lmao

Wii U is gonna shoot up in price thanks to BotW, but it will go down after that

I already have a PS4 with some games and controllers.

Get the PRO then instead of this kiddies dedicated tablet.

Now is a good time to sell your Wii

I'm not even fucking joking here. If I could use my Wii U Pro controller with the Switch, I would probably buy the system. I want a standard controller but don't want to pay $70 for something looks like a barely improved Ouya controller.

Why? The Switch won't be backwards compatible. So stores should actually be interested in clearing their sock of Wii/Wii U games and controllers, shouldn't they?

>Ouya controller.
What's wrong with it?

It's been noted that its shape is not as all comfortable. The Switch Pro controller reminds me of that. I could be wrong, but also there were some reviews saying it didn't feel that great too, compared to Wii U Pro, DualShock 4, and Xbox One controller.

Wii stuff is absolutely worthless and will be for quite some time
I'm not too sure about the WiiU, but I feel like it will be worthless too

Gamecube on the other hand is banking

In Europe, the Switch Pro Controller has already been available for like 55€ but it's still not really cheap. I liked how the Wii U lets you use Wii controllers.

When I bought SNES games for cheap they were pretty worthless too. Now I could sell my copy of Hagane that I got for like 10 bucks for about 500.

The thing is DEAD. Why would you buy it?

What are some good single player wii games? All I have is brawl and RE4. Willing to play anything as long as it's good

To think the wii could've had a GBA slot and you could've run GBA games on a bigger screen with an affordable component cable. I know you can emulate games, hack the wii exc. but that would've been just fine if you could've just plugged your GBA games and started playing with a wii controller.

Because the SNES is older, scarcity, greater value, and demand
There's little value and demand for Wii's glorious catalog of shovelware

The WiiU sold less than the GC though. I imagine games like SMTxFE will be pretty expensive in the near, specially since it did so poorly

sure, but it may take a while and it's a gamble

I think going to your local garage sales and finding hidden gem is better worth your time.
GCN, N64, SNES, laserdiscs. The older and more sacred, the better.
cheers

Pick up the core accessories and just pirate the shit out of everything

Best Buy has been discounting the game to $49.99 on multiple sales.

Neat, gonna pick up a copy then

as far as hardware is concerned it is not going to drop any time soon.

software is already becoming sparce due to limited releases. Did you know that the new Gianna Sisters was released on the Wii U physically? Neither did I until I found it at a toy store. The rarest stuff like with the Wii is going to be absolute shovelware so unless you are a completefag don't worry about finding the good stuff for now.
