>game has multiple endings
>no designated true ending
Game has multiple endings
Probably to set up more DLC endings.
This means no (((direct))) sequel.
And that's a good thing.
Go back to atrl fag
wait for the sequel based off the low I ending
>there is a direct sequel
>the most boring ending is the canon one
>game has multiple endings
>they're all unsatisfying in every way or feel forced as fuck
>there are other options you can see that look much better but you can't romance them or pick anything like it
fuck you Catherine
>There is a direct sequel
>All of the endings are canon
>the ending is decided at the end of the game
>literally "push button to receive ending", no other choice has any effect
DXHR was just lazy
this is the only right answer
Can't you walk away? Still doesn't excuse it though.
>then sequel came out
>that ending was canon
fuck youuuuu DXMD
>The sequel implies or outright states that ALL of the endings happened
fuck the elder scrolls for this one
>there's a direct sequel
>game over ending is canon
Yes you can walk away from the three buttons and unlock the fourth ending by pressing the fourth button
Works great for fighting games. Finding out what endings actually were canon in the sequel is exciting too.
Still better than Mass Effect 3 I guess...
>There is a direct sequel
>None of the endings are canon
Interesting how Deus Ex series did both.
Having a true ending is retarded because all the other endings feel like headcanon and aren't worth chasing after to begin with.
Why the fuck would you ever want that?
Corpse Party,
Every ending, including any possible game over you can get, is canon, and even with the "true ending" characters have lingering memories from their thousands of parallel deaths
>endings F, D, C, B, A, and S ordered from worst outcome to best outcome
>ending A is canon
>ending D is canon
>game has secret bad ending that requires way more effort that the normal one.
>solving the extra puzzle in each room gets you a post-game scene that teases a sequel
>nothing in this scene is canon
>the canon ending is the one that got the most trophies from the players
Wario Land ?
Dead Rising
>game has multiple endings
>there is a designated true ending declared in a sequel
>it's not the most interesting one
>game has multiple endings
>sequel shows that none of them were canon
>game has multiple endings
>canon ending is the one that's not even in the games but from the books/comics
>movie tie in/comic based game's ending is better than its source material
Daily reminder that 'canon' is for nerds and losers.
just started playing mankind divided does it get better at some point ?
In terms of story? No, it gets worse. Gameplay is pretty fun though.
it's the first time in a game that the writting made me alt f4, not sure I'll ever finish it
>Game has multiple endings
>The company making the game wrote themselves into a corner, so the next game is literally hundreds of years in the future, and in a completely seperate galaxy so they don't have to actually decide on what the fuck happened
I will forever be platinum mad about this
Im going to be unbias about the ending and say yes. But god damn, youll feel it when you get there
Fucking Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon
how far in the game must I go to stop suffering ?
>Fighting game has story mode with individual character routes that directly contradict each other
>They're all actually canon because of time loops/simulated outcome bullshit
I actually really liked the first two Blazblue story campaigns for this reason. They fucked it up by the time they got to CP, though.
>game has multiple endings
>every single one of them is depressing as fuck and feels like a bad end
Name 33 games that do this.
>the game has 2 version with minor changes between them
>they literally have no impact on the story
>peoples are still arguing about which version is canon
I hate you
>game has multiple streets
>no designated shitting streets
Its the ending dude, i dont want to spoil it but i think you should be ready. It just fucking ends. Like, i dont know if theyre going to continue it with dlc or another game but you just feel robbed. Atleast thats how i felt, that being said i did enjoy it
