>THE FGC MATTERS BRUH COME ON WE MAKE THESE GAMES POPULAR AND MAKE THE CASUALS WANT TO PLAY THEM
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA *BREATHES* AAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHA
>THE FGC MATTERS BRUH COME ON WE MAKE THESE GAMES POPULAR AND MAKE THE CASUALS WANT TO PLAY THEM
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA *BREATHES* AAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHA
From what I gathered they didn't particularly like it either
Maybe they just made a poor game
Are you, implying that SFV isn't catered to the casual audience?
Are you mentally ill?
but they made the game easier to cater to casuals. You did play it, right?
>FGC complains about SFV
>Capcom says they'll cut their nuts off if they don't play SFV at tournaments
>They keep playing SFV
Literal cuckolds
>SFV
>catered to the casual audience
Where's Arcade mode?
What would you rather see played?
And don't say "literally anything else" because anime airdash fighting games are shit.
Silly OP. Most of Street Fighter IV's patches were nerfs due to tourney players. Street Fighter has sucked for awhile due to it.
where are the fucking 1 frame links?
where is a true hard mechanic like parry or FA?
why the game is so focused on meatys?
why are you so retarded?
I'd be fine with SF4 again but they can't because Capcom said so, so I kek at their failed lives
>SFV catering to the fgc
Gud joke
Super Street Fighter II Turbo
SF4? They only play the latest game because muh Crapcom funding.
That shit is still better than SFV.
KoFXIV is garbage too.
There's not shit worth playing right now except Guilty Gear until Marvel Infinite comes out.
>He thinks Marvel I will be good
The best thing about SFV is a fucking episode from Akiba's Trip
Curious about how it would have sold if they did a version on all consoles as opposed to only ps4/pc.
Then again you could have a large amount of players waiting for the inevitable "super" or "ultra" edition whist playing the older and presumably still active game in the meantime.
It has X, and it's back to 2v2. I'm already sold.
I honestly hope it feels more like TvC than anything.
>game rushed to launch before summer 2016.
>game feels super unfinished
>but at least the competitors get what they wanted
Pretty much OP, but also, the characters and settings are shit. All neckbeard fapbait
Dude, Xbone sales are shit. It wouldn't have helped.
Third Strike and SFIV
V may have some good characters, but it's not fun to play at all
Would hardly be any different. The game sold like shit because it was extremely rushed due to muh CPT, making it extremely lacking in content and polish. The FGC doesn't seem to like it very much either.
Mario Kart
Wii sports resort sword fighting & boxing
It would be hype as fuck to see some FGC folks try some real fighting like Boxing, MMA or Fencing.
underrated
me too user
>make a game designed specifically towards 1% of their audience
>remove features and ignore what would interest the rest of the 99%
>wonder why the 99% don't buy the game
Hell, most people probably bought the game and only kept it out of brand loyalty, hoping that it would get better over time. They're likely disappointed because it didn't.
SFV is bad game for tournament players because of the removal of depth in order to cater to new players while still alienating them and the nerfs to characters.
SFV is a bad game for casuals due to the absolute piss poor presentation in graphics, character design, and just about anything involving aesthetics which is what drives fighting game sales. You're not having fun with a game if you're not thinking whats happening on screen and what you're doing is really cool and feels good. It's just not fun. It's a common misconception to think that story mode is important at all, I'd say that you can't really sell it for $60 without one though. Maybe $50? $30 or $40 with some more drastic in-game purchases for hardcore players?
>They're likely disappointed because it didn't.
I sure as fuck am. Deep regret
King of Fighters XIV
Too bad faggots convincing themselves nobody else is going to play it means nobody else is going to play it.
Bought SFV as my first Street Fighter on sale and put a few hours into it. At first I legit thought I was having fun, but it dawned on me how simple it was. Then my buddy had me play some Third Strike on his ps3 and goddamn was it infinitely more fun. We play weekly and I feel so much more in control playing that than SFV. You can say I'm just bandwagoning or whatever, but I legitimately enjoy Third Strike and wish I'd played it when I was younger. Same with SF IV
> implying that SFV isn't catered to the casual audience?
This is what the FGC actually believes.jpg
SF5 sucked ass. There was no content for non-online warriors and the base gameplay was boring as shit grind for the little offline content there was.
Capcom absolutely deserves to have shit their bed on this.
>SF5 sucked ass
but I agree
The general consensus among fans is that 4 was the superior game, and Capcom's attempts to simplify the game along with literally releasing an unfinished game speak volumes.
Its not the catering to tourny fags that killed the game.
Its the fact that its so fucking broken!
Every update breaks the game for a number of users, and even then there are thousands more who have never been able to get past the initial tutorial because of all these game breaking bugs.
That on top of that whole Spyware or malware or whatever the fuck scare that happen with one of their earlier patches.
I hate nintendo but damn I love Mario Kart
tekken or smash
>yfw sfxt sold 1.7mil
>Capcom doubling down on it with the Marvel license
Truly, Capcom deserves to sink.
they port mvc2, they make dosh
sure it's not perfect, but it still rakes in the dough
They didn't cater to anyone actually, Capcom completely misunderstood the casual audience, they thought that everyone would want to simply jump online and play competitively so they made the game extremely simple to make the learning curve easier
But it turns out that casual players didn't want that, they wanted Arcade Mode, Story Mode and maybe other for fun single player modes like Test Your Luck
So when the game came out and online reviewers criticized it for the lack of single player modes, casual players lost interest and didn't buy it
Then competitive players were the only ones left and now a significant number of them hate the game because of how simplistic and boring it is
