Spec Ops: The Line. The devs thought it was cancer but had to include it.
Wait, what? How does that even work?
hacknslash in an arena with custom characters

I remember being hype as fuck for this only to be rather let down
2 had it too, I think 1 as well
I had legit forgotten about this.
I put a lot of time into UC2 multi. 1 had none.
uc3 was interesting but I didn't play the multi much
It was the best part of the game
Not very well
mp was pretty unique. wish they remastered that game instead of 3 just to revive the online.
I actually enjoy the UC multiplayer more than the single player.
Tomb Raider? Or Dragon Age: Inquisition?
I remember it being so hyped up over these MASSIVE 256 PLAYER BATTLES, never played it but wasn't it just squads split up into smaller 8 on 8 battles or something?
256 players on at once on console game sounded like a load of marketing bullshit. Even PC shooters at the time pretty much never went over 64 players.
It even had a Capture the Artifact game mode.
I've never the multiplayer it but the funny thing is there are still a few people playing sometimes. I've checked the server browser a few times and some gopniks are still playing it.
Apparently it had online. Never played it because the modem was way too far away from my gamecube, and I never got the ethernet adapter
This had one of those "on disc dlc's" didn't it?
It didn't have online you could do LAN play, although there are ways to play online through VPN software like Hamachi.
nah. You could use the broadband adapter to LAN gamecubes and play it but it didn't have online officially. You could probably pull some sneaky shit hooking up the gamecube to a PC like that xbox live replacement thing though
I could never get it to work anyways
It was really odd, but I kind of like the concept. You played as citizen of Rapture and compete for Adam and shit. You could rig vending machines with traps, and sometimes you got to become a Bid Daddy and fuckin' wreck the other team. It was just one of those things that was tacked on and didn't get much support, though. Honestly probably could have been a standalone shooter in the vein of Overwatch and shit that's all the rage right now.
Yeah, Minverva's Den, I think?
one of the dlcs that you had to pay for added like 10 new levels, perks, and "rebirth mode" (prestige mode) and it was like a 10kb download
>play Raven
>mfw deploying against SVER
Uncharted multiplayer made me quit piracy. If I hadn't played Destiny then Uncharted 4 would be my multiplayer shooter of choice. Honest to god platforming in a deep and balanced and extremely fun arena shooter is fucking amazing and everybody should try it out!
It's frree on ps3 btw.
The multiplayer can be played in single player, actually, and it functions as a sort of challange mode that way.
And to be honest, I don't understand how Dark Souls PvP is popular but God of War: Ascension PvP isn't. They are almost the exact same what's-a-hitbox lagfests.
It was dead by the time I picked it up on PS3
>tfw multiplayer-based cheevos
Condemned 2 had a multiplayer mode where one team set up a crime scene and the other team had to solve it. I would have loved to play it.
Also, the hide and seek multiplayer in Assassin's Creed is pretty genius.
Is online for this still up
>MWR killed the sequel to this
Not MGO
Nope, I believe Warner closed it down about a year ago.
It was pretty good. The main game was pretty poor but i played the MP with my mate quite a bit.
This game was so fucking good. We're never getting a sequel, are we?
Where we supposed to? I didn't hear anything about it. Singularity and Wolfenstein '09 were a pair of fucking rock solid shooters, even if they didn't break any new ground
Setting, aesthetic, characters, and choice. Or at least a convincing illusion of it.
I don't know if we were ever supposed to get one, but i can do with another game that has a gun with controllable bullets.
Well I believe the last time I played online was mid to late 2015 or early to mid 2016. I guess I'll have to see if it's still running.
It was still up in December 2016, IIRC
Ok thanks, but I don't think many people play it anyone though. It was hard to get a full game lobby then.
It lead to some dickish trolling because if someone paused both players had control of the cursor
