>They're drooling over it, it's crazy.
You'd be doing more than drool on it if you were being paid lots of money to be positive

Delete this right now. Not gonna ask twice.
They are not being paid to like the Switch though.
>MARTY SLIVA (Senior Editor): “Right from the outset, the Switch felt wonderful in my hands. It’s small, but it feels substantial, sort of like an Apple product.
>CJ GIBSON (Senior Producer): “The Switch is the hybrid piece of tech that I've been yearning for someone to create since the invention of the original iPhone.
video games, am I right guys? that's what I'm looking for in a console, that it feels like an apple product.
To be honest the original iphone was a fucking huge thing
It's really cute that you think that. Very youthful and naive
Nintendo is known to never pay for anything, nor force any journalist or site into doing anything. Countless leaks have confirmed this. Try not to shitpost.
Just like the Vita
>nintendo is bribing them guys
>my brand is pristine and pure
what timeline are you from?
Well, I can't like this now. If normies like IGN think it's good, it must be a disgustingly overhyped piece of crap.
Let us not forget how they gushed over the Ps4 and its """game""" lineup.
I loved the shit out of my Vita but honestly couldn't use the damn thing without one of those grip case things. You had to hold it in such an awkward way to use both of the analog sticks but doing so also blocked the speakers 90% of the time.
The switch seems to hopefully fix these issues by shifting the controls more to the sides and make them larger.
Didn't nintendo pay for good reviews for dk bongoos thing though outside of that i dont remember much.
>IGN being impressed
WOW
You can not substantiate that.
BRENDAN GRAEBER (Editor):
>“Initially, I was concerned about the size of the Switch and the two Joy-Con but it immediately felt comfortable. What really stood out to me was how clear Breath of the Wild looked on the Switch’s display in handheld mode. The Switch was small enough to feel comfortable in my hands (whereas the Wii U Gamepad could feel bulky at times) and yet I could still read all of the subtitles and small text, notice details like apples hiding in trees, and snipe Bokoblins from far off. Nothing felt lost in the transition.”
JONATHON DORNBUSH (Associate Editor):
>“I love that Nintendo's console is actually fun to play around with like a toy. When I first got my hands on the Switch, all I wanted to do was keep swapping between controller configurations — taking the two Joy-Con on and off the tablet was so satisfying, and finding comfortable ways to play away from the tablet or TV was an oddly satisfying experience. And I was worried the Joy-Con would be a hassle to hold, depending on hand size, but in my limited time with them they felt comfortable both freed from and attached to the Switch itself.”
ZACH RYAN (Features Producer):
>“The most impressive thing about the Switch is just how easy it is to wrap your head (and hands) around it. In my brief hands-on, I tried to play with as many different configurations as I could and each one felt as easy to play and intuitive as the next.”
And you can't prove that they do pay for good reviews.
You just pick your cherries as you see fit. If IGN, Gamespot or any other site doesn't like something Nintendo does you post it 100 times and cite it all the time.
If they do like something then it either doesn't matter or is "paid for anyway"
Good. I hope I can sell mine for profit
ALEXIO QUAGLIERINI (Associate Video Technician):
>“The Nintendo Switch might be the highest quality piece of Nintendo hardware I've ever had the chance to interact with. Its slim profile, matte finish, and sharp screen look and feel great, so much so that I did not want to put it down during my brief hands-on with it. It's a surprisingly small device, something that every screenshot and video I've watched couldn’t convey. It seems portable and compact enough to play on my bus commute to work, but it was also comfortable enough to play while relaxing at home. Docking the console was as easy as inserting a cartridge into a N64, and the transition to the TV to play with a pro controller was seamless. My brief time with the Switch further validated my overwhelming excitement and I can't wait for it to come out already.”
PEER SCHNEIDER (General Manager):
>“It’s been torture listening to Jose talk about the Switch and what it feels like, so when a Nintendo representative handed me a Pro Controller to play Breath of the Wild, I politely declined and grabbed the main system instead. Looking at pictures of the Nintendo Switch doesn’t prepare you for how different it actually feels, especially after playing the 3DS XL or Wii U. Instead of the glossy, toy-like appearance and thick bevels, the Switch looks and feels more grown-up; more serious. The material and understated style are closer to the black Nintendo DSi — only that the Switch is thinner and the screen is bigger than the entire DSi. There’s also something very satisfying about the way the Joy-Con detach from the screen and how the system slides into the dock and is instantly ready for play on the big screen.”
MARTY SLIVA (Senior Editor):
>“Right from the outset, the Switch felt wonderful in my hands. It’s small, but it feels substantial, sort of like an Apple product. The screen was bright, and just big enough to entice me to play through a game like Zelda on it."
lel nobody will buy a switch
just you wait Drumpftards
GIMMICKS FOR EVERYONE
If you didn't want a portable system with full games on it, in the form of an iPhone, back when the iPod touch was revealed then you need to get with the times, Grandpa.
I own an HP Stream tablet and there is no better feeling that picking up a 7" tablet that has full Windows on it. I eagerly await the day we have phones on par with PCs.
Inb4 touch memes, you can literally hook up KB+M on modern phones already.
CJ GIBSON (Senior Producer):
>“The Switch is the hybrid piece of tech that I've been yearning for someone to create since the invention of the original iPhone. For its portability alone, I am incredibly excited for what the system has to offer. It sits right in the middle of an iPad Mini and iPhone Plus in terms of size but the icing on the cake are the Joy-Con controllers. Tactile, precision controls that feel natural in your hand and doesn't scream "portable children's toy." The unit itself feels great in almost every configuration. Lighter than you expect yet durable and sleek. With Nintendo's commitment to quality games and a backlog of nostalgic franchises, I have high hopes for this hybrid console in an ever increasing portable world. My only regret? Pre-ordering the standard grey unit over the hot blue & red version. Clearly, mistakes were made.”
MIRANDA SANCHEZ (Editor):
>“Switch in handheld mode was lighter than I expected, but I spent most of my time with the disconnected Joy-Con controllers. I laughed when Nintendo Switch general producer Yoshiaki Koizumi laid back on a sofa to demonstrate the freedom of the Joy-Con during the Switch presentation last month. But I wasn't laughing when I tried it myself — I was grinning. I let my hands swing down to my side and relaxed as I collected mushrooms and apples in Breath of the Wild. I can already tell that this is going to be my favorite way play when I’m casually exploring Hyrule.”
ZACH RYAN:
>“I loved how easy it was to pop the Joy-Con from each side, and flip out the Switch's kickstand to play in a way that I can only describe as "Maximum Chill" mode. It really seems like it will deliver on play-anywhere-promises that Nintendo made in its reveal trailer.”
>matte
I hope the pro controller is matte too
I hate glossy so much
Will we get a Rosalina simulation eshop game
All publishers "pay" in the form of threats to their ad revenue, early review copies and backstage access if they don't give adequate scores and praises. There's nothing wrong about this practice, but don't pretend it doesn't happen because you want to believe Nintendo gives a fuck about you.
jesus fucking christ. Is this what Sup Forums has turned into?
CJ GIBSON:
>“The HD Rumble tech is a mind-bending implementation of vibration and ingenuity. It was best showcased in 1-2-Switch. It is hard to articulate what it felt like without handing you a Joy-Con. It works!”
MARTY SLIVA:
>"Snapping the Joy-Con off the tablet felt good, and I could totally see myself setting up the kickstand to play it on a flight.”
PEER SCHNEIDER:
>"It was tough to gauge hardware power from my limited playtime with the Switch version of Zelda, but I did note that the game didn’t always run as smoothly as I expected it to while in TV mode — a trait it shares in common with the Wii U version. But I’ll concede that it also wasn’t custom-designed for the very different Switch hardware and that it’s rare to find an open world game that doesn’t hitch occasionally. So far, my first impressions are very positive. It’s a great-looking (and feeling) piece of hardware. And it plays the most complex console Zelda game yet on the go. I want one."
BRENDAN GRAEBER:
>"I played Breath of the Wild in the handheld mode for most of my demo, and I was happy to find the rumble felt responsive but not excessive. The gyroscope felt very precise in aiming Link's bow."
MARTY SLIVA:
>"Before having a chance to go hands-on with the Nintendo Switch, my excitement for the new handheld/console hybrid stemmed from its games. If I get a new Zelda and Mario game, I’m on-board, no matter what the hardware is like. But after about five minutes of toying around with the Switch, I immediately became excited for the console itself. My only slight complaint was that Zelda seemed to run a bit choppy on both the TV as well as the tablet. Nothing major, and certainly something that can be cleaned up before launch, but it was the lone blemish on an otherwise-awesome first hands-on with Switch."
>everyone else pays for review scores
>but not my pristine Nintendo
it works both ways, tool
This. Hell an spanish vidya site got banned from reviewing Sony games or something like that because they gave the game a score below 8, Ninty isn't like that.
You're the one making the claim here, retard. Burden of proof is on you. Either put up or shut up
>Nintendo is known to never pay for anything
It's really cute that you think that. Very youthful and naive
>Nintendo is known to never pay for anything, nor force any journalist or site into doing anything.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOO
Actually you are the one who started making claims
You mean besides blacklisting reviewers if they give out too many low scores and not providing reviews copies?
Threatening to pull ads?
>IGN
>the same site that gave gone Home a 10/10 because it "helped them check their privilege"
Go away marketer.
Oh, yeah? Such as?
Cite some times that happened somewhere.
>I want to be tied down to a desk to do anything
Real shit, there's no reason against having a full PC experience on the go. Keyboard, mouse, fully functional OS. Why are you against it? Are you seriously so blinded by rage that you're going to dismiss an entire platform because of le 2007 memes?
the hype is killing me but i want to wait until black friday for a good deal
going to pick up a ps4 soon enough as well for Hatsune Miku future tone
2017 looks promising
>Nintendo gets good reviews
>"What an honest non-paid quality review!"
>Sony / MS get good reviews
>"What a fucking shitty paid review, corporate fags at it again."
>implying IGN doesnt drool over any company that has business deals with them
Woah nice argument dude now I completely believe you!!11!
over/under on the switch being comfy?
I'm predicting max comfy
>>I want to be tied down to a desk to do anything
You're a fucking retard if you actually believe this
>There are no instances or any proof of Nintendo paying for reviews
>There are dozens of instances and proofs of Sony and other companies doing so
Gee I wonder.
They're drooling because they are retards. Only retard think switch is viable in any way shape or form.
I can't find the article, but someone was blacklisted by them for giving a big game a 7.
>implying reviewers aren't pressured
That's how they make money you fucking moron. Skyward Sword was plastered all over IGN for weeks, and got a perfect score.
Prove Sony does it.
Hard to believe they all agree it's almost perfect. I'm sure it's good but when a bunch of journalists act like it's God's gift to man it just seems silly.
Whatever Grandpa, you're literally the only one who wants to be tied down to one place to use their device.
Yeah 'cause it was that cunt Audrey Drake reviewing in and she proved in the livestreams that she's absolutely fucking awful at vidya
Woahhh a mediocre handheld, woaaahhhh no games
What exactly are they doing with it?
>Nintendo is finished! They're bankrupt! Bleeding money!
>Clearly Nintendo is paying people for the good reception
Which is it
>trusting IGN on anything Nintendo-related after Skyward Sword
more like
>Nintendo gets good reviews
>"lol fucking nintendrones with their generic shtity game gets a good review just because it has zelda on it"
These posts are unironically my favorite kind of post.
Pretending to be retarded user? It's OK if you admit it, nobody's going to laugh at you.
Hey, you can't deny apple product design is pretty much top notch. Even if you don't like what's inside, Apple products are mostly well designed and feel comfortable to hold.
you just made me kek
What does that have to do with videogames?
That doesnt prove anything. You can handpick tons of Nintendo shit that's overrated too.
Do you live in the stone age? Most people right now use many gadgets, obviously they are going to compare the Switch to those pieces of tech.
>implying the fucks at IGN are capable of forming their own opinions without someone paying for one
Don't get me wrong, I want the Switch to be good. But everything said or written or done by IGN is utterly worthless.
No, they're not designed well, nor are they comfy to hold. Not for the 1000 dollars you have to pay.
The hardware is also absolute, complete ass. Genuinely a worse OS than Windows 10.
Shit looks garbage I gotta say. I'll pick it up in a bargain bin when SMTV comes out, if that happens before it gets announced for the 3ds successor
Just let it happen, bro.
Right up until they actually give something Nintendo a 7/10 for example, right?
Then you will spam that for months. Then their opinion suddenly matters :^)
wat.
>IGN/Reviewers only matter when they align with me
end this fucking meme
Smt5 is multiplat
Don't pretend you don't understand.
Whenever a Nintendo game gets a "bad" review by some site, then that review and that review alone gets spammed in new threads for months while all higher scored reviews on other sites are ignored.
But if that site gives Nintendo a good review then you switch back to "that site is shit / they don't matter / they are paid off" mode. It's pathetic.
Handhelds are useless since there are very few places where I'd feel comfortable playing it. Living in Germany Cologne metropolis region taking the train and subway very often I never see people play handhelds. People don't even look on their mobiles very often as is often parroted here(probably different in USA). Most people either stare off somewhere, listen to music or read a book. So there is that aspect, you'd literally expose yourself as a manchild and secondly there is tons of sandniggers, refugees, beggers, roma and other shit at every station so I wouldn't even bust it out if I had to wait half an hour for the next train.
Fuck handheld shit, it's useless.
>Prove Sony does it
>This has nothing to do with video games
>Implying Sony only makes video games and PS4's
it will be a hit on nipponland
I agree. Good thing I can use the Switch like a home console and enjoy the games it will get BECAUSE in Japan they can use it as a handheld.
That's what makes it so great.
Monster Hunter ahoy.
Its cool being contrarian, but lets be honest. Having the option to play Steam, or PS4 games anywhere you want would be the tightest shit.
Name one (1) reason why this would be a bad thing.
I already play Nintendo games on my phone, have been since Android let me download an emulator. I play last gen PC games on my tablet with a kb+m, but I also have the ability to do all this at a desk, or on native hardware, too. Why is this a bad thing?
And when was I talking about pricing or hardware? I'm talking about design here. Their product are well made and well designed, and are much better than most monstrosities that pass as phones and laptops out there. From a design and appearance standpoint. No price or hardware involved.
It's always been that way here.
Your opinion only counts when it shares mine. IGN being the biggest flip flop on this board
Anyone who takes ign the least bit seriously even on rare occasions is the epitome of cancer.
what was nintendo thinking launching their new console so close to horizons release?
It is looking pretty tasty
Like everyone else on the planet they are oblivious to the existence of that game and don't care about it
>"Sony fans are not happy with the warm reception that the Nintendo Switch is receiving. They have made their voices heard all over the internet and their desperation has come through in some incredibly embarrassing ways."
>"In the same way that Trump was ridiculed and derided prior to his election as president of the United States, The Switch has found its most vehement detractors in those who are afraid of change."
>"When a paradigm shift occurs, when the wheel begins to turn - it is often those on the wrong end who make the loudest racket."
>"Initial forecasts anticipate that the Nintendo Switch will place the Japanese company back into the spotlight and, at the very least, loosen Sony's grip on the market."
>"The whole truth will only out when the Switch launches on the 3rd of March, but until then, keep your eyes peeled for the shrieks and shudders that continue to emanate from Sony's side of the pitch."
Holy fucking shit Forbes just blew the FUCK out of Sonyggers.
Thought it was semi-clear.
TYRONE JACKSON: (STREET NIGGER)
>"Yo, want this sheit? Only $50."
No, IGN is generally complete bollocks.
Beyond fucking delusional. Nintendo is the Jeb in this race.
I don't have a problem with the Switch or Nintendo. I'm open to buy it. I just need enough games to justify doing so. Admittedly, I've used my PS4 (my first Sony console) to catch up on franchises I've not been able to play, including multiplats, as well as multiplayers with my friends. I've used it every week I've owned it though, with the exception of the first couple of weeks the newest Monster Hunter and Pokemon were released. Comparatively, I've owned a Wii U since March of 2013, and there has been more time I haven't used it than time I have. I've seen the projected releases for the Switch, and while the system entices me, I don't see a reason to buy it until there are at least a few games to play on it. For the time being, all that'd be for me would be BotW, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but the latter is going to get pushed back to 2018, so why buy a Switch when I'm going to beat BotW within a few weeks, and not touch it for 9 months afterwards at the soonest? Waiting allows me to have more to play when I do buy a Switch, and potentially a sexy solid matte black Switch with a possible price cut when I do. I don't have a beef with Ninty or the Switch. I'm just waiting for the right time to buy in like I did with the PS4, and not like I did with the Wii U.
Don't tell me this was written by a video game "journalist"?
This is beyond fucking pathetic.
We make fun of the "SONY BOOGEYMANG" meme some diehard Nintendrones like to toss here around. Some of us do so just in jest, bantz or simply to shitpost.
But if this is actually real, written by some nu-male millenial, then it's beyond pathetic and whoever wrote this should honestly consider suicide.
This is fucking awkward. Some failure at life shit breather gets paid to ramble about Sony's grip on the industry. I see much better and more sinsible NDF anti-Sony posts here on Sup Forums every day.
>all previews for HZD are positieve
>REEEEEEE shilling, paid journalist, etc.
>one positieve preview fort Nintendo
>"it's over Sony hahaha btfo"
Sup Forums is literally filled with Nintendo shillers.
>all previews for HZD are positieve
lol
The switch and the line up is still better than that garbage call of duty, at least we are not getting the noobs and the fan base on day one.
>I was amazed that I could still notice apples in the trees in handheld mode
>I love that it feels like a toy
>I take the bus to work
>the style is understated
>the neon blue and red joy cons feel very grown up; more serious than a Wii U gamepad
>it's both satisfying and fun to remove and put back the joy con controllers. I spent a lot of time taking them off and putting them back on.
>it's the one piece of tech I've been waiting for since the original Iphone
wow I didn't think it was even possible to think less of IGN than I already do but here you go. Compare their obvious childlike shilling to 1st impressions from people like Giant Bomb, who aren't even the brightest bulbs themselves.
Now that is Grade A delusion
>all previews for * are positieve
because they're not reviews
>All those people in the comments absolutely apathetic about it
Good thing no-one on IGN plays video games.
>If I can transfer over my psn trophy list...I'm in.
what did he mean by this?
