What does Sup Forums do with old games? Do you sell any or just keep everything? Why is it so hard to let go of something you'll probably never play again?
I was thinking of selling the vast majority of my 360 collection because I either have them on PC (or, for example, Bayonetta on Wii U) or because I am never going to play them again in the forseeable future and if I really wanted to I would buy it again on a Steam sale.
Chase Young
I sell 90% of the stuff I buy, kinda skipped the ps3 era and now on ps4 there's really almost nothing with keeping. Hope to pick up Nioh tomorrow and probably it'll be a keeper.
Daniel Cox
take it all to gamestop, prepare to get nothing for it even the most expensive 360 games are less than $50 on the used market unless its something like a rockband complete set which might be worth $100 if its untouched and in excellent condition.
no one will buy your 360 games, 7th gen shit is near impossible to get rid of unless its some wii games or the games are $1 a piece and people pick and choose the good ones and leave you with all the shit thats worth 25 cents at gamestop.
good luck!
Hunter Parker
Keep em, except thinking of selling my Wii U for a switch.
Thomas Richardson
The fact that they mostly have used games as generic boxes with no actual artwork, at 80% the price of an actual new game is shit.
Brody Nelson
nah man, your wii u isn't worth much anyway just hack it and sell the games, its what i did.
no one really wants a wii u anyway and other idiots on craigslist and ebay are selling them without the wii u pad, something you NEED to fucking start the system, for $100.
John Flores
If I sold them I'd probably be mad in 20 years, but I doubt I'll be as nostalgic for my 20s as I am for being 5. As long as space isn't an issue I'll keep them
Brody Nelson
i could get 90 bucks for xbox 360 elite and 43 games at gamestop, decided to keep it
Jaxon Ross
>tfw I made 900 dollars in 3 days from ebay selling mainly PS3 and 360 games
Angel Rodriguez
Wii U's are going for 300 bucks on ebay. Check out the sold listings.
Cooper Martinez
Today I ordered a PS4 just for Yakuza 0 (based Argos had it in stock). I hope I haven't been memed into buying it.
I actually have a spare 360 Premium, I could probably sell it as a job lot on ebay To be honest I'd be happy to get one game out of the lot of them, but at the same time it's nice to see it all on a shelf, even if it is mostly filler content.
Colton Long
>Bought RE7 on release, beaten it twice really enjoyed it >Can get $30 trading it in now, not really sure if it'll keep replay value
This always happens to me, I can rarely justify holding onto beaten games when I could use them to get new games I would play.
Luke Moore
how many games? and what games?
most people have shit like all the cods, halos, gears and other shit that won't make you fucking $900
im calling shit on you, faggot. no one wants 7th gen shit unless its DIRT CHEAP. how long were you sitting on it? how MANY did you sell?
Daniel Hughes
I keep everything. The few times I sold games resulted in deep regrets, and I just know all my niche nip games will end up costing hundred of dollars in a few years, but if it's a good game I still won't sell it.
>Today I ordered a PS4 just for Yakuza 0 You did very good
Brayden Brooks
Only games I'll ever resell or give to gamestop are high profile Nintendo games, especially on handhelds. Only thing that retains any sort of value now a days. Hell, there were some instances where I made a profit from them at Gamestop. I remember getting Majoras Mask 3D for 20 and then gave it back to them and got 27 dollars. I also got Yo Kai Watch for 15 from them and then traded it back the next day for 25 bucks.
Liam Bennett
Last time I actually sold any games, the N64 had just come out. I went with my dad with my SNES and I think 10-15 games?, traded it into Gamestation for the Goldeneye bundle with the gold controller.
To this day I'm still not sure if it was worth it or not.
Elijah Ross
I sold most of my old shit, and all my consoles, to build a better PC. I usually sell them directly to other people instead of going to shit stores like fucking Gamestop. I still have some stuff, like a small part of my PSP collection. I regret selling my Dreamcast, though. At least I was able to recreate my character from Phantasy Star Online on the offline PC version.
Nicholas Rodriguez
There's free story DLC coming out in March. Keep it till then.
Noah Ramirez
>checking ebay >most 360 games are barely three quid each >NFS Most Wanted (2005) £15 used >nearly every listing is from Argos
Is there something about this game I don't know about? I got it with my original 360 I bought off my boss like 10 years ago but never really played it.
Benjamin Collins
>$833 dollars after 10% cut
:^)
Most of them were the actually good games though. The cheapest I sold something for was 5 bucks for GTAV on PS3. Several under 10 bucks. Still leagues above what you'd get elsewhere.
Ian Harris
Dreamcast has no games I'll ever go back to and play on the Dreamcast itself, yet I've held onto both of the ones I have for no real reason.
I'm working down through my shit and selling everything that can be emulated well though, because I'll never pull out an actual console when I can emulate it.
William Wood
I have felt like you for a while and listen to me man, its best to just get rid of it. No one has any interest in ps2 and after. I still have my n64 and super nintendo, and the boxes and like 50 games for each, those are worth a lot now and will be worth more because they are retro, were the first homes of many popular games etc. Your ps2 and xbox and xbox360, all that shit is garbage. Get rid of it anyway u can, best time woulda been before the new console launched (note do this with your xbox one years from now). Prob hard to sell all that on ebay, so maybe gamestop is the best bet even though fuck them. But with all your new games, I buy them on amazon, i have prime which is 100$ a year but so worth it cuz free 2 day shipping, plus streaming videos, plus twitch prime, etc. And all new games are $47.99 free two day shipping arrival on release date. Buy them, and sell them in a month when your done on ebay for like 40$. you get like 80% of your money back and dont have to be a hoarder and can keep playing games without breaking the bank. i only keep good multiplayer games, everything just gets ebayed. When u ebay just do 3 days, auction, never had a low ball ever. always happy. ive sold like well over 500+ games on ebay.
Gavin Martinez
I also have 2 Dreamcasts, never ever gonna sell them I still pull one of them for some Shenmue, Rez and shmup goodness, it always feel good
Elijah Cooper
It's definitely a charming console, for whatever reason.
I'll probably sell one off and store the other one nicely for preservation's sake.
Chase Allen
By the way, if you intend to sell your games online, DON'T use Amazon, because Amazon jews the fuck out of you per sale.
Jack Robinson
FUCK Collector's Editions
>never think they're worth it when they're released >can't get the ones you do want >when you do get them the statue is garbage >when you want old ones enjoy paying over twice as much for them
John Turner
I occasionally buy used games. But I never trade in my new games.
Liam King
I wanna play ps2 games using an emulator on my mac but it is proving a difficult task. Does anyone know which emulator I should use? i have a ps4 and the controller links with my computer perfectly
Joshua Clark
I used to trade in games all the time when I was poor and the only way I could afford to buy new games was to do the EB Shuffle. These days, I never trade anything in or re-sell games. It's not worth it. It's better to have the games sitting on my shelf for years until I'm in the mood to replay them.
Juan Reyes
If you have them op I'd recommend going to like a local game store that offers cash trades. I used to sell shit to a local store and they'd give like 15% more than shitstop would in credit except they gave it in cash.
Cooper Lopez
I keep them.
In fact, got another small box of my old NES games back from my father today. Need to clean them up, they're dusty as fuck.
Brody Adams
I like seeing my game collection grow over the years, so I keep everything I buy. It's a visual representation of my history with video games. I put them in drawers though, I'm not the kind of person that likes showing off whenever people visit. Nobody visits me though.
Zachary Jackson
I could never sell any of my old games now, even though I never play my 360 shit anymore.
Jackson Long
I've started trying to play through and get rid of my backlog of games. After all, if I'm not going to play them again, then I don't have a reason to keep holding onto them.
I tend to sell them to the local game store, though, not GameStop. I'm still annoyed that they made a policy of tossing all the perfectly good DS boxes. It shows they don't give a shit about the games they are selling.
