Is Gothic 3 the comfiest RPG of all time?
Comfycore general
No it's an abonimation and marks the start of Pyranha Bytes descend into mediocrity.
Pretty good taste. I liked the old Black Isle/Bioware games like BG, IWD etc. Very comfy with soundtrack too.
Shame they plummeted in to shit after Mass Effect. Dragon Age had potential to go places if they kept it in the same style and worked around it.
I'm not going to lie user, I love Gothic but Gothic III was a mess. I was able to have fun with it and it had fantastic potential, it's a shame that it released prematurely and was riddled with bugs. I'm thinking about replaying all of them again soon, not sure when. I strongly believe that Gothic III could have been made into perhaps the greatest RPG of all time with little over half a year more development on it.
Is it comfy? Sure. Comfiest of all time? Get out of here user! We all know that title goes to Oblivion, another mess of a game which holds a place dear in my heart.

>quest
>go kill orcs
>next quest
>go kill more orcs
>1 man vs 9999999999999999 orcs
>collecting loot takes so much time you eventally just stop doing it
>retarded looking orcs acting like humans
>story is just plain retarded unlike previous entries
>completely different "feeling" when compared to previous entries
>Oblivion wannabe
Fuck this game and fuck everyone who likes this shit. G1+G2NOTR is all you should bother yourself with. Making any RPG similiar to TES is biggest red flag I can think of.
Gothic 3 and Oblivion are both really comfy but check this:

Oh yes, BG1 was super comfy. Those fucking taverns man.
Gothic 1 and 2 are comfy as fuck
Gothic 3 is not comfy at all, it just has nice music, and it's a shit game
...
>Gothic 3 is not comfy at all, it just has nice music, and it's a shit game
it's passable with the later community patches
not gothic ii good by any stretch, but not the abject embarrassment it was on release
forsaken gods is irredeemable shit tho
Very comfy and memorable soundtrack but come on man, the game is a piece of shit, no two ways about it.
>THUMP THUMP
>Clink
>Patterpatterpatter
Comfiest game in the last couple of years.
Nothing even comes close.
>rpg
Stop with the memes and play real games.
I absolutely love the world of Gothic 3. The game itself feels clunky and unfinished, but the world design is top notch.
What I particularly like is how visually different the various parts of the world feel. Not just in terms of visual palette, but also in terms of bgm, what NPCs look like what their individual cultures, mannerisms and speech patterns are like, etc.
What's the combat like in Gothic? Its not real time is it?

It's clunky as fuck. But it's still fun.
gothic 1 and 2 the combat is great, combat in 3 is absolute trash
stop shilling this game it's a fucking piece of shit even with all the patches and a disgrace to the gothic 1 and 2
lost
No, Gothic 2 is
this fucking retard clearly hasnt played 1 and 2
You mean The Witcher 1, right user?
Are Gothic 1 and 2 connected to eachother story-wise?
a little bit
Yeah, Gothic 2 happens about a month after the events of 1 and has you eventually return to the valley of mines now full of orcs and other disgusting creatures
OBJECTIVELY comfiest RPGs are;
fallout 2
vampire masquerade
alpha protocol
dying light
batman arkham city
guild wars 1
gothic 2
anything not on this list is for presbyterian hosers
>dying light
No.
it's an extremely comfy game though
especially at night, beautiful city, you get to do whatever you want, and everyone wants to be your friend
and with the expansion it's comfy driving
literally goat 2bh
unless you're some extreme pussy that can't even handle one scare
>Arkham City
>RPG
What?
I'm assuming you're either underage or barely 18.
>A role-playing game (RPG and sometimes roleplaying game[1][2]) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting. Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting or through a process of structured decision-making or character development.[3] Actions taken within many games succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines.
Sounds like arkham games.
Not that guy, but technically it's not too different from a game like The Witcher other than the setting of the game.
And I'm assuming you've been on this website for way too long ignoring how abysmal your reality has become.
Just a hunch.
If by abysmal you mean reading some online chucklefuck spouting literal bullshit while claiming to be objective and being utterly and completely wrong, yes it is.
>Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting or through a process of structured decision-making or character development.
That doesn't sound like the Arkham games at all. The player has no agency to act and there are like 2 instances where you make a choice in the entire game. There is no player agency in the story for the player to play a role.
Except the Witcher bombards the player with dialogue choices and gives them agency to shape the narrative based on their choices made.
