Is this game any good? Trying to get into Harvest Moon
better off emulating hm64
then see if
---i liked it - > HM: Magical melody
---i want something more accessible - > HM: A wonderful life
---i dont have a consoles -> Hm: Friends of mineral town
but honestly OP they all the same
some are just better than others, you're getting pretty standard fare with harvest moon,
Is OP pic at least okay? I picked it up at a thrift store for a couple bucks
I heard it's bugged as fuck.
It's ok, but glitchy as hell. I think the Euro version is better.
Honestly, I wish they would make more console Harvest Moon games.
Animal Parade is actually pretty good.
Its good, almost too much.
I wish I could find my harvest moon do cart
Look at the back of your cartridge to see if you have the patched game or not
v. 1.0 is glitchy as fuck
If it has a 0 right before the J, you have version 1.0 or 1.05. If it has a 1 before the J, your game is version 1.1.
yes they are all
>CLEARIN ROCKS GEE THANKS DAD
>HEY BITCH FUCK ME ALREADY
>WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY PACK CANT FIT DIS SHIT
>OH GOD IM EATING SHIT FROM THE FOREST
>SELLING POTATOES
>SELLING POTATOES
>SELLING POTATOES
>MARRY ME HOE IM RICH
yeah, if you look up the biggest bugs before hand though you'll probably be okay, you can also get the girl version and it'll have less bugs, not everyone liked hm ds but it's one of my personal favorites
Sure, if you play it with the Mineral Town girls, don't bother skirt-chasing them.
BAD END
DS is great because it's AWL with a FoMT skin and more content. Rushed release to see if their shit would work on two screens, and it worked all too well.
The bugs only make endearing.
I just wish the style of A Wonderful Life took off.
It was the only harvest moon I liked.
Yo I just got this on a whim, all I care about is farming, is it gonna suck?
I actually thought this one was ok.
There's a month long tutorial that a lot of people complain about, but if you can get past it it's actually pretty good.
Thanks for making me remember HM games are coming to ps4, cant wait
you mean story of seasons?
Good: Can build my own Town (Asia Ghetto, Western Ghetto) and Farm
Bad: Need heavy shitload of grinding for materials and plans
after Harvest Moon DS they try to deviate from this a lot more, SNES through DS Harvest Moons are the most traditional, although Rune Factory kinda picks up where the newer ones leave off
Babby's first HMs are typically Back To Nature, Friends of Mineral Town or HM64.
64 is much faster paced than BTN, it also arguably has better characterization (they have the same characters but they're different people with different relationships with each other between BTN and 64. For example there's a brother and sister in 64 who are completely unrelated to each other in BTN and vice-versa). FOMT is a port of BTN for GBA. I haven't played it myself, but I know it's slightly different aside from the obvious graphical change.
I really enjoyed HM DS for the farming aspect, but you should play a different HM for the typical farming x dating sim experience.
I think Back to Nature / Friends of Mineral Town will always be the most recommended HM.
What are some top quality comfy farming simulators on PC? Is it just Stardew Valley?
It's decent enough. You should have fun with it. The only things that really annoyed me as a kid playing it were the limitations based on Harvest Sprite count. You can't get married until you've found 50 or so. 30-40 are pretty easy, but beyond that they start to get pretty bullshit.
Also if you marry the girls from Mineral Town the game ends. Which is lame.
Other than that though, the game is nice and speedy. Lotsa shit to do, fun events. Figure out what version you have, be aware of the glitches. And if you have the initial version, I highly recommend doing the winter gold glitch. Having an unholy amount of money makes getting the extra sprites much easier.
Just emulate friends of Mineral Town on your PC, it's a GBA game any PC can emulate it, you'll have a way better time.
If you absolutely HAVE to pay for your games I believe it's on the Wii U eShop as well
Pretty much. Everything else is barely functioning RPGmaker games.
