Yes, I hate Fairy types but Mimikyu is so perfect that I can comfortably say I have a favorite fairy.

Makuhita is adorable. He looked like a cross between Majin Buu and Pikachu and the first time I saw it back in gen 3, I had to have one. Hariyama is pretty cute in a tough sort of way and is pretty bulky with thick fat and hits like a truck.
I prefer her stepping on others, teaching them to learn their place.

DPPt (yes Platinum is still shit, muh frontier doesn't validate it) is still very bad but SM was a pain in the ass to play through. It has shit for content and the main game is padded with slow fade-to-black scenes and dialogue I really couldn't care less about. All it really made me feel was that if you like Lillie you'll like the game.

Tyrantrum is still my favorite pokemon, but a good amount of gen 7 pokemon come close.

Ribombee will never OHKO anything outside of something that is 2 or 4x weak to a Moonblast with shit defenses, unless you run Quiver Dance. But Ribombee dies after one Quiver Dance to anything, so what's the point? It doesn't even have Sleep Powder or Spore to force a switch to let it boost.

I SOS chained for a weak to get a shiny with a nature for her that boosted speed without lowering spatk. Finally got one and it was worth it. One Nasty Plot and you're ready to go.

I love that breeding shinies is viable. I can just set up a foreign Ditto and a parent and keep whittling down the odds until a shiny pops out. I've bred a shiny Charmander, Gengar, Trevenant, and Abra. I kinda just like doing it but I've run out of Pokemon I want a shiny version of. Maybe a Palossand at some point.

This. It's amazing to me how much worse all the online stuff is in this game. That said, I think the new designs are some of their best work yet. I think the ultra beasts are a really cool twist to legendaries. I think their idea was to make pokemon that seem more like actual monsters than animals, and they nailed it.

I don't hate the idea of the Rotomdex, but why are the features on the bottom screen so shit compared to gen 6? In 6 you could see all your pokemon at a glance, or how many more eggs on you needed hatched, or check online all fairly quickly. At least compared to Sun and Moon. Why is Rotom just a fucking map unless I open another screen and wait for the shit to load?

I guess it sounds nitpicky but if you're breeding a lot or want to flip through different menus quickly it gets annoying. I really miss Super Training too. Why are there nice ideas in gen 7 but also assbackwards ones?

Isn't the Super Training replaced by the Poke Pelago training isle? It's not as fun as the minigames, but it's automated and you can train up to 18 Pokemon at a time.
Granted, I don't know the rate of EV growth from Pelago.

And the best bottom screen variant was the Poketch from D/P/Pt.
Give us an updated version of that. If there's unlockable applications for it too, don't lock them behind online stuff.

The problem is that there are too many things to counter and the 6v6 Singles doesn't lend itself to carrying lots of counters, If you run something with haze is and the oponent doesn't have or use boosting moves you wasted a slot, while in a bring 6 pick 3 singles format you could just not pick you Hazer, sure haze is just one move, but there are lots of other things that need relatively specific counters like weathers, trick room, entry hazards etc.

Smogon really shot themselves on the foot when they decided on their format and now struggle to keep it somewhat balanced.
