Nehrim is actually really like Gothic 1. The only shitty thing is the Oblivion combat system, but the rest is at least on the same level as G1, and the world building is actually better. The main quest is better as well.

I can't get either of them to work properly on windows 10, and have tried google.
G1 adjusts the screen res to 800x600 then tries to run the game in a window, and g2 crashes when I start the game.
