That's not really an issue since people will be building a new PC to use a Ryzen cpu anyway.

(Unless of course you're an autist who detests change and has to stick to 7 for "reasons" because he's scared of 10)

Only people with illegal shit to hide still haven't upgraded to W10.

DOA for more reasons. Can't wait for AMD to die.

...

People don't actually still use deprecated Windows 7 right?

Nobody cares except "muh botnet" idiots.

>buying an AMD CPU
>buying AMD anything

>Can't wait for AMD to die.
that'll never happen

their GPUs are alright

Yes it will, Pajeet.

>supporting a monopoly

You idiots. Intel has done fuck all over the past 8 years because they didn't have to innovate. You really think that's good? Competition is a must in capitalism, or everything turns to shit.

No it won't

>using deprecated software

wew lad

good thing I plan on finally dropping AMD after a fucking decade+ of usage for Intel. Honestly this just makes my choice all the easier.

>he doesn't use Windows 10
>he doesn't have 16GiB of RAM
>he doesn't have an Intel CPU with at least 4 cores
>he has a GTX 970 or 1060
>he isn't on an fibre optics package with unlimited data
>he has bandwidth caps

>He thinks the NSA cares about his yaoi and futanari hentai collection

>Mentality still stuck at the past
Suck to be mentally retarded isn't it ?

>He doesn't know

UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10 SO I CAN MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT COLLABORATING WITH IRAN BEFORE YOU CAN PLAY THE NEW SHOOTER GAMES GOY

I might buy one of these when my dad needs a new PC
should be cheap enough and do all of the things that he needs to do

A pentium would be cheaper and more powerful tbqh.

Download windows 10 enterprise ISO, kmspico it and stop being like one of those stupid /tech fags. Windows 10 is fine if you're not a complete retard.

Is there a third company now? Is there... another? the one prophesied?

yes, Razer are going to start making gpus and cpus and they're going to save pc gaming

There's no turning off the spyware. There are a lot of placebos, but it's still going to phone home.

>that comment section
>"I've been with out virus protection for 4 years and I don't have any viruses"
How the hell does he know if he doesn't run any virus protection? Does he think that the viruses will tell him when they are there? They are designed to not be noticed.

Windows 8.1 is better if you get a differ

If they try to pull this with Windows 10 it will lose them sales though because that garbage is Vista part two with forced updates and shit game compatibility.

Fucking nice. People who are stuck in the past with their inferior OS are delusional.

>Razer
>CPUs

8 radioactive green cores with Turbo Threadz and Speedz Processing?

Yeah, they're also gonna bring back the turbo button, but this time it'll be green rather than red

I'll depend wholly on price this time.

I'm looking forwards to being able to actually buy an 8c/16t CPU.

I'm not looking forwards to paying a thousand dollars for it. If AMD offers a reasonably priced alternative, I'll be over that like wasps on coke.

It can be patched user. No worries.

>tfw still using Windows XP
Fucking OScucks I swear.

No way. If microsoft wants to sell me things based on my weird porn, they're going to have to work harder than that.

You don't trust the certified shit wrecker, user?

How's that 3.2GB RAM treating you?

I mean I'd have preferred otherwise, but I can see why

Big part of moving forward is learning to let go.

>have 16 GB RAM
>i5-6500
>R9 390
>gigabit internet
>unlimited data
>still use Windows 7

Fight me. Windows 10 has adware and spyware built in. And every Windows upgrade more and more old games get more difficult to play correctly. Why bother?

The only thing I lack is fibre. So it's cable for me. Still getting 100mbit.

shit compared to nvidia.

why not have a windows7 system and a windows10 system?

My biggest issue with windows 10 is their new update system, and cumulative updates.

I hope ReactOS gets developed faster so I could get things from both worlds, Windows and Linux

This

May as well wait for HURD

>Windows 8.1 is better if you get a differ

Its not getting updated either. They're forcing every Windows user to 10 as fast as they can.

There are only two OS options now if you want to run modern hardware.
Windows 10 and GNU/Linux.

Sniffy packets, checking processes in task manager and not having ransomware or any shit is a good way to tell.
Common sense 2017 has yet to fail me.

If you compare a 480 to a 1080, sure, but you're not meant to do that since they're two completely different products aimed at two completely different users
for their price points, AMD cards are better than their nvidia counterparts

Necessary.
I want dx12 support to grow and it to take off.
But for that to happen windoes 7 needs to die.
Unfortunately change is scary to normies and they are afraid with all the misinfo

There's a lot of people burned by a shitty start.

Want to hear a really unpopular opinion? Vista, once fully patched, was good. But it started out so shit it was burned forever.

I have never and will never intentionally install or use windows 10 on any of my computers.
I will not accept performance gain in VIDEO GAMES at the cost of my personal information.
I detest the practice of subverting human thought for the sake of marketing consumer products.

Microsoft and Windows 10 is sinister to the solitude, independent, and free Man.

send me those *tip*s

Why is Microsoft so successful at making people shill Windows 10 for them FOR FREE?

...

Anyone choosing a company over a product is a lost cause that needs to be euthanasised.
Besides GPUs are pretty much priced exactly at performance when both are in the same segment.
It's sort of like AMD and nvidea make say their mid tier card that gen, if AMD is a bit more powerful they charge $30 more or vice versa so there is no real "bad deal"

You must be pretty bummed out about club penguin shutting down.

1060 is faster and consumes less power. And has better driver support.

>Want to hear a really unpopular opinion? Vista, once fully patched, was good. But it started out so shit it was burned forever.
Agreed and I ran it for years.
That's unpopular but true.

Windows 10 didn't start bad at all though just mad hoopla about nothing.

no free man uses the internet, free men live their life with nothing holding them back like data displayed on a screen
free men know the only thing they truly own is their body and mind and put that above everything

>1060 is faster
not in every game
>consumes less power
there's barely a difference
>And has better driver support
no they're not

>People don't actually still use deprecated Windows 7 right?
Work. Specialised software and a lot of long-term projects on the go. Some new computers have Windows 10, but it'll be years before we can fully get rid of Windows 7, if ever. Hell, we even have a Win95 and some DOS machines around for some old (but still functioning) instrumentation devices.

>Windows 10 didn't start bad at all though just mad hoopla about nothing.
Let's not bs ourselves. RAM usage out the ass, AU fucking a lot of people over, unclear policies in many regards, lots of forced features that were hard to disable (and often still are). Win10 didn't come without its share of problems, and even if the instability part is by now pretty much solved, some even remain.

Win10 isn't bad. I'd argue it's better than win7 too - especially regarding out of the box support. But it's far from perfect.

Windows 7 is outdated. It's good that both Intel and AMD are leaving it behind.

It's not that I believe man can be 100% free.
It's that I hope to minimize the amount of information people can take/copy from me without my explicit consent.

>why aren't you made of money?

Gee. I wonder.

Give me a reason why Windows 10 is actually worth upgrading to, and better than 7. It has minor under the hood improvements, but that's not a worthwhile reason to upgrade considering the drawbacks of the added bloat and schizophrenic, dissonant UX introduced since 8, the lack of control of the update process, instability, and privacy concerns. Hell, it doesn't even have a fucking tabbed Explorer.

Windows 7 will only be deprecated when DX12 actually takes off, or support ends in 2020. Whichever comes sooner.

Doesn't worry me. I got my free upgrade to Win10pro and see no reason to go back.

The only reason to upgrade is because you can. Free. I wouldn't go out of your way though.

the inconsistent gui design mildly amuses me

No longer the case, there's more games in which the 480 out performs it now. Driver support is not bad either, and it's not like the 480 draws that much power. Also, generally the 480 costs less, has 8gb of vram, and performs better.

...

Well I was excited to get one but I guess I'll be fine without one. I'm never upgrading 7, it's truly the perfect operating system.

I am 31 and you sound like the idiots who refused to install XP because they thought that microsoft is spying on them.

>1060 is faster
Not anymore

>Consumes less power.
who the fuck gives a shit holy shit, we're talking about something that consume even less than a 970 here you autist

>And has better driver support.
Nope. Maybe 5 years ago that would've been true, but Nvidia currently has more problems with their drivers and support their cards for a smaller duration, now.

In the long run, they run pretty much exactly the same. It's an OS, it's supposed to stay out of the way, and for the most part it does. Though, yes, the lack of a tabbed explorer in 2017 is shameful.

Tiles are just something to get rid of. Fuck that. In turn, you get the right-click start menu, which is great. All the important system-related stuff in one place.

Otherwise - it works. That's really all there is to it. Much less driver hunting these days, too. I think the GPU driver is the only one I needed.

Some changes may take some time to get used to, I don't know how you do things. I don't even notice the general complaints anymore.

Why DirectX 12?

You realize that Vulkan is basically the same thing except that:
It updates as PC hardware updates, not as the Xbox updates.
Its available on every platform willing to allow it, or that can't stop it.

Sure.
I am right about Windows 10.

...

they same they said about windows XP, then Vista then 7 then 8 then 8.1 then windows 10 , every time a new windows comes out you have autists calling the same thing.

Free upgrade was stopped months ago wasn't it?

Just claim disability stuff. MS isn't going to check, they want you on win10 after all.

whats wrong with the 970 and 1060

From shit like this and a friend who works at MS, I'm convinced that Microsoft coders are indistinguishable from warhammer 40k techpriests - the code is so arcane and bloated that actually no one, not just the low-level programmers like that one, knows how it actually works.

They're not a 1070 or 1080, upgrade to the top every year goy.

I'd not be surprised. They just write the code and make sure it compiles, hoping it works. If it works, great, ship it!

lol everyone says the same thing but they still buy intel/nvidia exclusively

I buy Intel CPUs and AMD GPUs

The price difference is pretty big between 60 and 70. Thats the reason I got a 1060.

And every time they're right. Every new version of Windows gives Microsoft more power over the users system and more access to their data than the one before it.

Its the frog in the pot. Drop them in when the water is boiling and they'll jump out and get away. Put them in when its cool and slowly up the temperature and they'll happily sit there till they're cooked.

I built a new setup like half a year ago. What was I supposed to go with? "Runs so hot it needs water cooling" fury x, or a 1070 that doesn't bump me into the next PSU tier? "Whoops, you're not using all 8 cores, I'll be on i3 performance levels" FX8350, or a skylake i5?

I want AMD to deliver but all their options right now are fucking shit.

Then I am sure in the last 15 y ears you can easy find me many cases how Microsoft fucked the users over .

How m any people lost their life or money because microsoft used their operating system to destroy them

isn't all of their data collection anonymous?

Subverting people's wallets is fucking people over.

It's a slow and manipulative process.

It's an x86-64 CPU, it'll support all instruction sets and otherwise just fucking werk on Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, ME, 98, etc., this article, and the ones about new Intel CPU's also being """Windows 10 only"""" refer to new driver/kernel-level ACPI features, UEFI-specific features, power shit, and new DRM support, which you'll probably be blocking the best you can anyway, and given that a lot of this will interact with paid/premium streaming and Blu-ray DRM, this meaningless if your pirate all your shit like you should

You can still use 7 the same way you did XP in the face of Vista just fine on the next generation of CPU's, but unless Vulkan takes-off and recaptures the OpenGL renaissance of the 90's through early 2000's, don't expect Vidya to do anything life-changing with DX12 anytime soon if everyone who cares about vidya is passive-aggressively on 7 still

No game that sold well was DX10-only, and Halo 2 was cracked back into the DX9 game it once was within weeks, destroying it's claim as a DX10 killer-app, along with the fact that it was a bare-bones Halo 2 port with modern rendering/texture/model resolutions

I've tried out Enterprise LTSB versions on numerous occasions, which strips a lot of the garbage out. I still always go back to Windows 7, because at this point in time there is literally no reason not to use it over 10.

It has a consistent UX with none of the "Metro" trash, better compatibility, more control over updates, won't fuck your shit up after updates, and I can just keep it activated without needing to mess around with KMS crap. There is nothing I can't do on 7 that I can on 10.

Wasn't BF3 DX 10 only?

show proof exactly

Ayy this user gets it. All the NO WINDOWS 7 OMG articles are just click bait bullshit to get clicks generate buzz about nothing.

Day 1 the new intel processors worked on windows 7 and I guarantee the new amd processors will be the same.

It will work, but there will never be any fixes for windows 7 if anything goes wrong in any programs or games. Which sucks.

>amdrones and pajeets are vehemently against windows 10
>zen requires windows 10 for majority features

it's like pottery

Off the top of my head, some of these may be longer ago than 15 years, I'm old:

BeOS - most advanced operating system of the early 90s, crazy fast and powerful. They made deals to get into PCs sold by OEMs, Microsoft came in and fucked them up and made them only sell Windows. Microsoft promised to incorporate those advanced features into Windows, but they released Windows ME instead, and just waited till Windows users didn't remember all the cool shit BeOS had and dropped those projects. If they hadn't we would be 5-10 years ahead in OS technology now.

OpenGL - Much like Apple, Microsoft has consistently poorly handled the open standard for 3D graphics. Consistently slowing the progress of the PC as a gaming platform, only updating when their consoles needed it. They even went so far as to torpedo the first attempt to create a fully modern graphics API. Imagine for a moment if we'd had a graphics API like Vulkan around the time when the Xbox 360 came out. Another instance where the industry was set back years.

Lawsuits - Microsoft is actually proud of this one, they're one of the most litigious companies on earth, they even have a real time tracker for all their court cases. The latest one that's been rumored to start up soon is a massive conspiracy to commit wire fraud case going after people who have defrauded Microsoft's charitable free Windows 10 for the disabled program.

10/11, 2011 was way past Vista's reign anyway even though it was still active, and 7 was declared "good shit" by pretty much everyone after 2009, so it was pretty safe to release by then

I'm not here to convince you to change.
I'm also too lazy to sort through my pictures and videos

not him, but it's far more profitable to mine and sell users data to advertising agencies than it is to out users for stuff found on their computers, though there is nothing stopping MS from doing exactly that I'm sure.
That being said, I am not some product who allows my data to be sold to the highest bidders. W10 has been proven to data mine you even after you disable all of their shit. They offer nothing of value, and the practices that they used to get W10 installed would be considered malware if done by a non-company.
