Jaina has different hair

Arthas and Illidan had a furry love child

Jaina is pregnant with an orc baby

Vanilla:
>Masons of Stormwind rise up in revolt as the Defias Brotherhood
>Twilight Hammer cult tries to summon Ragnaros
>Xavius begins to corrupt the new world tree Teldrassil
>Fandral Staghelm wages war on the Silithid while drugging Malfurion into a coma
>Dwarves are feuding with Dark Iron
>Neltharion's kids are up to no good
>The remaining scourge forces in Eastern Kingdoms make their last stand at Naxxramas
>Forsaken are being manipulated by a dreadlord
>Scarlet Crusade are being manipulated by a dreadlord

Burning Crusade:
>The Burning Legion resumes its invasion on Azeroth from the doorsteps of Outland, creating suspicion that Illidan has betrayed Azeroth. Kael'thas is the real traitor. We still go after Illidan because of his phat lewt, ending his scheme to wage all out war on the Burning Legion with an army of demon hunters backed by a new well of eternity.

Wrath of the Lich King:
>Arthas provokes the entire world to come after him so he can kill everybody and raise an unstoppable army of super powerful undead. For reasons.

Cataclysm:
>Deathwing is assblasted and lets the entire world know it. Culmination of the efforts of the Twilight Hammer from vanilla. Fandral sides with Ragnaros against Malfurion.

Mists:
>Garrosh becomes literally Hitler.

Warlords:
>Time travel alternate dimension shenanigans. Lots of hand waving to bring Gul'dan back.

Legion:
>Burning Legion goes all out to bring down Azeroth once and for all. Lots of hand waving to bring Illidan back as a good guy, despite making him look like even more of an asshole than he did before. Argus invasion pending.

It's over lads.

Why would you stop illidan from fighting the burning legion?
Who is Garrosh?

As someone who loved the lore of the series from the first three games, and does enjoy WoW, I'll just say, don't play the game for the lore. Due to having multiple teams writing for one huge story here, it's a fucking mess. Though some of the individual storylines of individual zones are still cool though since it's not different teams all mashing their shit together.

They are both males.

Grom's son

As a longtime WoW player, enjoyed this read. Sums it up pretty good.

is right. I used to be a lore whore but gave up. It's too much to keep track of. I remember watching a YouTube vid that had the top two lore junkies face off to see who could answer the most questions posted by fans. The whole thing kinda fell apart as neither could answer many. It's not that they were stupid or didn't know their stuff...it's just that's there's WAY too much...well, everything.

Frozen Throne: King of the Undead gets killed
Cataclysm: A giant metal dragon gets killed
Pandaria: A giant demon possesed Ork gets almost killed
Draonor: The father of said Ork gets killed

And is also Hitler

Because after you kill two of Warcraft's biggest baddies, it's hard to write other Expansions after Lich King.

Eh, not really. She's just really, REALLY pissed about that mana bomb thing hitting Theramore.

Pretty sure AU Grom isn't dead.

>Why would you stop illidan from fighting the burning legion?
Reason given to us in Burning Crusade expansion: cuz he's crrraaaazzzyyy!

Actual reason (fully explained in the Illidan book, not part of the main game): The Legion figured out that he had some crazy big shit planned to fight them back, so they manipulated Alliance and Horde (playable factions the main characters) into entering Outland so Illidan could be stopped by the main characters.

Basically it's the night elf campaign from TFT all over again. Illidan's doing some mad shady looking shit, turns out he was actually trying to help the good guys all along.

>Who's Garrosh?
Grom's son. Starts off young and chill in Burning Crusade. Becomes a brash warrior dude in Wrath Of The Lich King. Becomes kind of an asshole leader of The Horde, but with a sympathetic honorable misunderstood aspect (that was done in a couple quest zones, then dropped entirely making his character one dimensional for the next expansion.) Literally Hitler in Mists Of Pandaria. Then finally angsty asshole kid who's also again sympathetic in the last few moments of his life in Warlords Of Draenor (the final expansion he appears in.)

if you started now, you would find pieces of that story somewhere, but other pieces would be missing, right? because happened

Wait wasn't Thrall the horde leader? when did he stop being that? I see he's still in Legion

Cata.
Garrosh became Warchief because Thrall had to go and do some stupid shit.
After Garrosh died the title was passed down to Vol'jin who proceeded to accomplish nothing.
Now the warchief is Sylvanas.

wtf nigga theyre not even orcs :D

yup
also trolls and orcs technically have no racial leaders now since Blizzard killed them all off.
Now there are 0 story relevant Darkspear Trolls. Only Orc that matters is Saurfang I guess since Thrall is still being a whiney bitch.

Cairne was going to be the warchief but...Garrosh killed him in a duel over leadership.

What is thrall doing? he's fighting in the legion intro quest

But I saw him in the legion intro quest too, is he dead later in legion?

That's his son Baine. Remember, you helped save him in TFT.

He's the leader of shamanism on Azeroth now, kind of a full-time job.

Also Vol'jin is dead now too.

Technically the shaman player character is the leader.
Thrall is just your bottom bitch.

he went off to be green jesus in cata so he passed warchief to garrosh then killed him in WoD after garrosh went literally hitler in mists.

That's like saying Jesus plays bottom bitch to the pope.

>Who is Garrosh?

Garrosh Hellscream, son of Grom Hellscream, is the most inconsistently written character in Blizzard history.

He starts off in Burning Crusade as a brooding, sad orc (who by the way is like 12 years older than Thrall) that is eternally ashamed because his dad was the first to drink the demon blood and cursed the orcs to be green. Then Thrall comes to the village he's leader of (sorta, more like just the toughest guy there) and shows Garrosh how his father sacrificed his life to redeem all orcs. Now he's proud of his heritage.

Come Wrath, he wants to be just like his dad...the problem being his dad was a warmonging asshole that cared only about slaughter. He leads a very successful campaign in Northrend against the Lich King, which earns him a lot of favoritism among the orcs. Saurfang, the greatest orc who ever existed and a living meme, taught him restraint.

In Cata he is now warchief and takes Saurfang's words to heart, punishing members of the horde who bring dishonor. Things are looking up.

...until Mists of Pandaria, where he goes full drunk on power like his dad did FOR NO REASON and literally fuses himself with an Old God. We beat him, remove the Old God fusion, and have him stand trial. Then a bronze dragon breaks him out of jail and they go back in time.

To Warlords of Draenor, where he goes to an alternate Draenor of the past, stops the orcs from ever being corrupted (aside from Gul'dan's clan), and with goblin technology transforms the Horde into the ultra-advanced Iron Horde, and tries to use that to invade our timeline's Azeroth. Thrall kills him for it in a duel in this scene

>Well at least Garrosh died like a warrior. Helpless in a CC.
That stings

wait but I thought orcs are originally green and turn red when they drink the fat demon's blood in wc3?

So who is Saurfang and why isn't he warchief?

No orcs were brown. They turned green the first time they drank demon blood pre-WC1, and red if you infuse them with even more of it.

Saurfang was one of the most feared NPCs of all in World of Warcraft Vanilla. His rage is always 100, his charge knockbacks people by 30 yards and his Mortal Strike crits for 10000 on plate (when most tanks at best had 7000 hp). Also of note, he was the player in the orc campaign of Warcraft 2.

And he's not Warchief because he's too damn old and doesn't wannt.

youtube.com/watch?v=qrs7LnmdNy8

he is leading the orcs nows in legion
but he is extremely old (nearly as old as drek'thar who is sitting in a wheel chair)
the warchief is now sylvanas

>but he is extremely old (nearly as old as drek'thar who is sitting in a wheel chair)

I should note, Saurfang is in his late 50s-early 60s. That may not seem old, but 99% of orcs even if they somehow make it to old age, never make it past 75. So he's fucking ancient by orc standards.
