They don't care about the newer ones either.

>Seyda Neen was exactly the same hundreds of years ago and had imperial buildings pre-imperial colonization

What did they mean by this? Was it just a transcription error?

You have yet to post anything disproving that argument, it'll be full of transcription errors again.

>subtitle is pure pandering
>lacks anything affiliated with the thing they're trying to pander off of

>silt striders were actually just a regionally-held nomenclature for horse-drawn wagons

>subtitle is pure pandering
Why? Because they didn't call it Vvardenfell? Bethesda are the hacks for not calling TESIII Vvardenfell, not the other way around. We already have mainland Morrowind in ESO

Schick bald-face said it's like that for nostalgia purposes only on reddit

I can make a Spoony betrayal song just out of the trailer.

>Dwemer centurions work on electricity, not steam (spark when hit)

Too much green

With the lore reason being a trade agreement between Gold Coast Trade Company and House Hlaalu.

all these resources wasted on a FUCKING mmo

>a FUCKING mmo
Not just any MMO, the best MMO and it has World of Warcraft numbers now. They're going to do ALL of Tamriel

Honestly it's great and this is coming from someone who thought it'd fail within 6 months because of how terrible the beta was.

mmos are shit

>underage thinks MMOs are "collect boar assholes: the game"

It used to be different and this one is DIFFERENT ENOUGH but not quite there
>pic related

Actually, the sad thing is, you don't even have to be underage, you could have gone through your entire adolescence without having the opportunity to play anything but WoW clones

It's not even Bethesda you stupid meming fag.

Elder Scrolls Online is made by Zenimax Online Studios, the extent of Bethesda's involvement in the game was handing them the TES Lore bible. Beyond that Bethesda Game Studios has absolutely nothing to do with the game.

Bethesda are currently working on 2 new IPs that they haven't said anything about yet, after that they'll be working on the next TES game. They aren't involved in ESO at all beyond the fact that their company is owned by Zenimax Media, which gives Zenimax the right to use the IP.

My Walmart has this game on PC for $20, is it worth it? How's the lore? Build variety? I'm seriously considering it if they really want to do all of tamriel. I loved oblivion, thought skyrim was decent and haven't played morrowind (hopefully fixing soon, gotta figure out if I should wait for that mod remake or play OG)

Its a shame the character models look so fucking shit

>2017
>still not realizing that videogames' only purpose today is to generate shitloads of money for the publisher

noone actually gives a shit about deep lore and gameplay.
if it sells good, it's good.
if it sells bad, it's bad.
the industry lives on lies, false promises and overblown expectations and in the end, it's the only thing that matters because people will buy the hype all the time.
some indie faggots want to change this, but in the end their kickstarters fail because they have crippling cancerdepressionaids or they
too, become too greedy and produce the same shit the mainstream does.

You can get the base game for $10 and the gold version (Imperial City/Orsinium/Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood expansions) for $24 if you know where to shop

What's wrong with boar anus?

Nothing, when it isn't the only thing you're doing until you can do muh dungeons and muh raids and muh endgame

So you're saying that a game focused around boar anus is bad?

Pretty much.
This should clear it up
youtu.be/nvK8fua6O64

What's wrong with boar anus?

What's funny about modern MMO and especially modern WoW is that a large reason they suck is because they stopped with collect 10 boar assholes

There's nothing worse in WoW than the slow as shit, interactive, "story" quests

>modern style WoW quests
>slower than bear ass collecting
What the fuck?

The game is fundamentally flawed. Content can be cleared years faster than it can be created. There's a reason themepark MMOs have a retention problem... And things like Asheron's Call (RIP) and EVE do incredibly well at retaining the players it has.

It's very unfortunate that the publishers spent 13 years throwing $100 million dollar budgets at the Wildstars of the world instead of $10 million at Crowfall

But this isn't made by Bethesda, it's only the publisher

The second golden age of MMORPGs is coming and it's all thanks to Kickstarter

It's going to be 1999-2003 all over again.

That can never happen because the community is fundamentally altered

The only people who played mmos in 1999-2003 were turbo neckbeards, autists and a couple of lonely kids.

Now they're mainstream, and the mainstream ruins everything good.

That's why I'm hyped for Shards Online in particular. It's Neverwinter Nights-tier modding in a base game replicating the mechanics of Ultima Online.

Also Star Citizen/Shroud of the Avatar/Crowfall/Pantheon really appeal to turbo autists so I feel a couple servers will have awesome communities at least.

With Destiny 2 and Star Wars: Destiny edition (seriously, it's being worked on) taking the attention from the normies, I think we'll be fine.

Surprisingly, ESO has an awesome community. Didn't expect that going in.

>trade companies for thousand years
>it's government monopoly
>still feudal relations and probabaly serfdom rights
>capitalist relations don't evolve
>there are no revolts against empire and feudals
>no revolutions to overthrow feudalism
>no proper manufacturing or industrialisation
>no one at one point of mad industrialized capitalism develops communistic theory and writes manifesto which takes on tamriel like a wildfire
...
>The author of Manifesto is High Elf from Summerset isle named Karlodil Marxorin he calls for internationalism and seizing means of production, criticizes current economic installment
>All members of Altmeri dominion are mad as hell
>The Revolutionary mood suppressed in Summerset isle but spreads in mainland
>Labor Unions
...
>Years later one Argonian noble in exile in some backwater mines of Blackmarsh picks up and develops theory even more
>Bloody civil war in Black Marsh
>revolutionary forces wins, Argonia becomes a Union of Socialistic Republics
>Slavery abolished and Argonians, khajiits and other races declared equal
>Means of production seized
>repressions against reaction
>Empire and whole Tamriel is in shock
>In the meantime another political ideology gains popularity in Tamriel as a reaction to "Red Plague"
>One young eccentric, charismatic Dunmer with excellent oratory skills gains more and more popularity among people. But his ideas sound very dangerous...

Will there ever be a proper universe where we can see it evolve with each installment. And I mean truly, truly evolve, feel like every new installment is a fresh (or at least devs tried as much as they knew and can) where it goes beyond medieval-late medieval relations?

But MMOs can try catering to both though. WoW for example has a bunch of shit for casual people to do. But it's the turbo autists that go next level with Mythic raiding and Mythic+ stuff. Also MMOs, purely from a gameplay perspective at least, are much tougher than what they used to be. Back then, if you could grind, you're good.

How convenient that the matter was never mentioned in Morrowind, and I'm pretty sure Seyda Neen is not even in Hlaalu territory

>WoW for example has a bunch of shit for casual people to do.

Most of which are just daily quests, where you have to do your chores for the day and log off. No wonder these games have poor retention.

Is this shit good? I never looked into it because of the subscription model but apparently they got rid of it.
Reviews on steam say the game has improved a lot and the gold edition is 50% off, do I pull the trigger?

...

Yes. Get it. I wanted to hate it but now I have like 3 weeks real time spent on my character.

The game was DOGSHIT in beta though. Turnaround of the century imo

Something like this is practically impossible in a typical medieval fantasy setting. I weirdly give WoW props though for actually having tech advance, and have certain implications related to what you brought up (the Westfall storyline for example.)

>and I'm pretty sure Seyda Neen is not even in Hlaalu territory
It is though...the town is literally named after a Hlaalu ship. That area has, through lore established before even Morrowind, been Hlaalu territory. The lighthouse has existed long before the game, Morrowind, ever took place, created by Hlaalu sailors.

I was thinking like more random casual shit like that pseudo pokemon stuff, mount collecting, etc. Not tied to absolute endgame (level cap dailies, dungeons, raids, Mythic+, level cap PvP)

How's that caring? That's literally milking nostalgia fags with dlc for shitrim and their mmo garbage.

shut the fuck up you commie piece of shit

can you remove the steam account connection for this game

Where did you find that picture?

Sure, that's why there isn't anything resembling a Hlaluu building in the whole town, as well as no house Hlaluu members anywhere

>online

>Gloria Victis

I bought this game several months ago after following it for quite a while, even playing it for a bit before they completely changed the engine and the name.

What a fucking waste of money. The game will never get out of early access with the progress they're making.

Is the game fun?

combat is boring

ui is LITERALLY skyrim

class system is confusing

crafting is confusing

The only good MMO is Runescape

*was

Sunibee

>ESO
>different

lmao kid

its the same old boring grindfest

with a much worse combat system which feels unresponsive as hell

>ONLINE
Nice try shill

This is modern Runescape

it's called cashing in on nostalgia and brand recognition

>The Imperial Legion guards the seaport, but it is under the administration of House Hlaalu.

Good thing UO had nothing to do with clearing content then you WoW babby

Does this have a trial version?

>"bethesda doesn't care about the older elder scrolls gam-"

>"morrowi-"
>"TESO morrowind"

>"bethesda doesn't care about the older elder scrolls games"

>How to fix MMOs
>play Minecraft
No shit. Minecraft/Terraria/Starbound type games have been dominating for the past five plus years when it comes to player agency, and 4-player-party/shooter/beatemup/mission/hub based stuff with better combat have dominated the raiding angle. MMOs are no longer relevant.

Where's my MMORTS in which I control a squad of 2-6 soldiers with a vehicle or two to ride around in, in a persistent world full of other players controlling their own squad as we take on a massive armies of NPC factions and make our own player factions to fight one another?

tfw I just want a true sandbox to simulate my AnCap dream

How is TES Online for solo play?

I play MMOs completely solo for the exploration and finding progress my own way, e.g. I went back to WoW just to get mounts, achievements and grinding rep.

Will this game tickle my fancy or does it require a group for a lot of it?

You can solo a lot, and there are even dungeons you can just pop into and clear with whoever else happens to be in there.

Most of their audience probably hasn't even touched Morrowind.

>>bethesda doesn't care about the older elder scrolls gam-
Well it's clear they don't, throwing a beloved property into a hamfisted MMO is like desecrating a grave.
