Nomura is cute!

What's next for him after Kingdom Hearts 3 and VII Remake?

Why does he look like a 15 year old?

Nothing.

He's going to be working on those two games for the rest of his life, because he can't get shit done.

Japanese people tend to age better than other races

>he can't get shit done
Nice memes

FFXV was stuck in development hell because of him.

Do you really think we're going to see FF7 Remake before 2019?

He dresses lile one too.

Really stimulates the almonds.

>because of him.
nice memes

FF VII Remake will come out in 2022.
KH III will come out in 2025.

Then Nomura retires.

End of story

You better get used to Toriyama games lmfaooo

>one game that was plagued with problems not exclusively under Nomura's control
Wow, he can't finish anything!

I mean, he directed and released seven games, three HD collections, and worked on a myriad other projects on the side, which were also finished...

But Nomura can't get anything done!

HD Collections aren't games, they're just re-releases. How does that even count? And how many of those seven games are Mobile Kingdom Hearts games?

C'mon, even Nomura said himself that he doesn't like being a director, but Square-Enix has pigeon held him into being one. If you read up on this, you'll know it's true.

Nomura has had alot of cool creative ideas for games, but he's not a good director, that's just the fact of it.

Also Sakaguchi pumped out Final Fantasy after Final Fantasy, and alot of them (if not all) are considered classic iconic video games.

Sakaguchi is a game director, Nomura is a creative producer. There's a difference.

Remaster versions for the PS5

>HD Collections aren't games, they're just re-releases. How does that even count?
Because there's still a dev cycle, for which a director is necessary.
And 2.8 in particular had brand-new content which Nomura would have to be intimately involved with.

>And how many of those seven games are Mobile Kingdom Hearts games
Two. One still going.

>Nomura has had alot of cool creative ideas for games, but he's not a good director
I disagree. The hell that Versus XIII/XV went through is really just one blunder in a long career of successful games.
And he's not entirely to blame for it.

The man created one of Square's biggest IPs. That doesn't happen by being a bad director.

...

Final Fantasy 16

But is he cuter than Kamiya?

>could nott even make a coherent story for versus/xv until got told to get his shit together before that he was always changing it (FOR SEVEN FUCKING YEARS).
>can't even make speed up KH3 development while using UE4 and having THE help Epic to understand the engine.
>literally made execs get mad at him for not having anything to show after versus was announced to be XV past E3 2013

Why does everyone see him as some god? He's an alright artist but à shit writer and a mediocre director. He never played Ffvii and it shows in Kingdom Hearts with Cloud and Sephiroth being different from their game conterpart and in Advent children.
He's also responsable for the hot mess that is the kingdom hearts storyline. 1 was the peak of the series, somewhat simple and understandable. Now look at 0,2, every dialogue as to be vague and confusing.
I'm not even gonna start on ffxv and how he's the reason it was going nowhere before Square woke the fuck up and give the project to someone else.
Let's face it, he can't write for shit.

BLOCKED

>He never played Ffvii and it shows in Kingdom Hearts with Cloud and Sephiroth being different from their game conterpart and in Advent children.
He was literally on staff for FFVII.

He probably knows more about it than you do.

hopefully a crazy new RPG ip like TWEWY.
It came out of nowhere and it was crazy good

Not kamiya but still.....

>HD Collections aren't games, they're just re-releases.

2.8 has a Ground Zeroes like game for KH3, to be fair, that's all brand new content. The movie included as well is new stuff in a sense.

He designed the characters but I guess your write.
Hope you like emo Cloud in VII remake

he was in the staff of VII. problem with him is that Visual key melted his brain in the early 2000s

He also worked on basic story stuff for FFVII, and had input about the characters of the game.

How do you think character designing works?
You think that Nomura just drew a bunch of characters, and the writers pulled them out of a hat to slap on the things they've already written?

Nomura has made some good stuff, but he's not good at directing games. Directing involves actually DIRECTING your team to make the game you want... He is too "hands on" in the creative process, and everything moves slow as fuck because of it.

He literally wanted to make FFXV a musical... do realize how disasterous that would've been? It could've been the end of Final Fantasy as we know it.

Nomura is being flooded with projects instead of just focusing on one. Not entirely his fault, but he's too focused on the creative side of things, than directing his team to finish a game.

This is why FFXV took forever, and we won't see FF7 Remake till 2019 at the earliest. It might turn into another XV situation actually (I dont want that to happen, but it might)

Also KH3 has taken forever, seriously.

Post more please

He'll age like 20 years in one year one day. Japs do that.

>He is too "hands on" in the creative process, and everything moves slow as fuck because of it.
Except for all those times he delivered a complete game on time.

I mean damn, he gave the team of Re:coded less than a year to develop it and they made one of the best games in the series.

>He literally wanted to make FFXV a musical... do realize how disasterous that would've been?
Was that not while it was still Versus XIII, not a mainline title?
Might've been fun actually.

>This is why FFXV took forever
Oh, there are so many more reasons.
FFXIV is a BIG reason.

>we won't see FF7 Remake till 2019 at the earliest
If anything, this is because Nomura's focusing on KHIII instead of trying to spin plates like he usually does.

I don't see that as a bad thing.

>Also KH3 has taken forever, seriously
It was announced in 2013. Which was too early, by Nomura's own admission. But he felt like the fans had waited long enough so he announced it anyway.

In June that's only four years, cut it down to three accounting for the early announcement/engine switch.
Pretty standard for a AAA title.
