Singleplayer is a blast
Snapmap is pretty good, but could be better.
multiplayer leaves a lot to be desired.

My only grips is the campaign is too short and it takes up way too much space.

They should have made this game centered around the campaign mode rather than multiplayer.

I see it as a 10/10 singleplayer FPS, the custom maps and multiplayer are there as a bonus.

SP is fun, Arcade mode is also fun.
MP is pretty bad, haven't found many worthy snapmaps yet.

For the $15 or what it costs as a key, its great.

Yes. Don't expect much out of the non-singleplayer content though.

-9 points for not being able to:
properly aggro monsters against eachother
no mod support
no way to turn off glory kills
no way to enjoy the game without every door locking when you enter a room with monsters spawning
have monsters on the map
Encounter 20+ monsters at the same time

Verdict
1/10 game.
-5 for HALO multiplayer, but that doesn't affect the single player luckily.

>Trying this hard

Sorry this isn't "your doom" that you've grown accustomed to, but do you really have to be a massive faggot about it?

Look at this faggot lmao
>these are my prerequisites for doom and if it doesn't have them its shit! REEEEEE

>67

I'm playing it by sharing a friends library
It's pretty fun but better in small chunks. I like the arena combat but it can get a little repetetive.
I'd recommend playing it.

I bought it at 20 bucks for single player.
I regret the purchase.

It's a console shooter with console shooter features. Do not buy if you do not like console shooters.

t. I didn't play the game

this game is the most PC-shooteresque PC shooter I have played in a long time

I am an ignorant fag. Kindly please the differences between PC and console shooters aside from mouse compatibility and additional mod support

>It's a console shooter with console shooter features. Do not buy if you do not like console shooters.
This is correct. It's the first DOOM specifically DESIGNED for consoles I ever played.

pc shooter

>difficult
>nonregenerating hp and armor
>6+ weapons at the same time, each behaving differently and serving different purpose
>resource management
>large variety of enemies each having unique attacks and roles
>huge mazelike maps filled with secrets
>powerups, limited amount of pickups per map
>moving at 60mph
>quicksaves
>adjustable FOV defaulting at 90

console shooter

>corridors
>you're more or less on rails
>2 weapons, both generic hitscan guns
>no exploration whatsoever, you're often punished for going where the game doesn't want you to go
>RETURN TO COMBAT ZONE
>moving at a snails pace with optional sprint lasting for 3 seconds
>regenerating health
>coverhugging
>55 FOV
>bloody screen
>unskippable cutscenes, often before a big fight
>unbelievably scripted

he's trolling. theres no such thing as a 'console shooter'. any fps is worse when played with a controller

>huge mazelike maps filled with secrets
You realise DOOM has maps like these, or are you just baiting

are you illiterate you dumb fucking nigger

You can turn off the colorful blinking of the monsters and dont use glory kills at all

...

In googling trying to find out if checkpoints in levels save your secrets and challenges as well as your progress, I was shocked to find there is/was a save bug in this game that would cause your progress to get reverted/erased if you didn't navigate the menus properly. Here's a gamefaqs thread from 8 months ago about it, has it since been patched?
