Wario Ware is dead man.
GCN > GBA > Smooth Moves > Touched > Twisted > G&W
prove me wrong
Fuck that shit. I want a Wario Land.
G&W is shti due to how it barely has any games in it at all for some reason.
That said, the games it does have are top class. I bought it for a party and never regretted it.
If only we got an actual Wario Ware game though.
What about Snapped and D.I.Y.?
Swap Touched and Smooth Moves and I agree.
Everyone said Twisted is the best but I only played it on an emulator so I can't give it fair representation
Snapped is obviously the worst, it's just 4 games and only 1 of them was anything close to remotely entertaining.
D.I.Y. would have been godlike if it hadn't come out the year after I discovered Gamemaker. I guess it's still pretty neat, put it above G&W I guess?
in terms of single-player yeah, Touched is better. But the multiplayer is what puts Smooth Moves over for me.
Better as a mobile game these days.
Same for Rhythm Heaven.
It's called 1-2 Switch
Warioware yes, Rhythm Heaven fuck no. It suffered horribly on the DS. For a properly tough rhythm game you need the accuracy and responsiveness of physical buttons.
>most gimmicks out of any Nintendo handheld
>3D, Gyro, Cameras, a Microphone, and a Touchscreen
>didn't get a WarioWare
Fucking Nintendo. If the Switch doesn't get one if all the shit it has I'll be severely disappointed.
I actually wonder if 1-2-switch was Game and Wario 2 before someone laughed in their faces and had them change it.
>actively wanting the casualization of a series
Warioware on mobile would be fucking horrible. Without a doubt it'd be incredibly streamlined and casualized; Nintendo would be wasting dev resources working on a shitty mobile game instead of making a proper one on consoles. Rhythm Heaven would be even worse.
the retarded thing is, if you just made like 150 more games like the ones it has, then that's a decent warioware right there.
>milk!
>chew!
>draw!
etc
but instead, they think each one is acceptable as a stand alone minigame? and people will pay for this? it's like 10 minutes of gameplay, tops. Then you've seen everything the game has to offer.
...
I just want Wario to come back. WarioWare and Wario Land please.
The total is now officially 28. Still not nearly enough.
yeah, that's just like one character's stage. It's insulting.
Twisted is the pinnacle of Wario Ware, it made you look like an idiot with all the waggling but everyone wanted to try it out.
Full price too. At that point I can't even feel insulted, I just feel bad for how stupid they are.
100% agree with you user, I feel like if they made sword fight, lock pick, quick draw, milk, baby, if they made all those minigames 5 second minigames like in warioware and added like 150 more games, it would probably appeal to more people imo. Too bad we'll never get a new WarioWare game.
My nightmare is the possibility that the proposition of a new WarioWare game will get shut down due to such a game devaluing 1-2 Switch. And the board not wanting that.
you're forgetting something
>1 2 switch comes with a Cowboy Hat and a Sombrero
I'd buy it for sure.
Or 1-2-Switch failing kills any chance of any minigame collection type games from them for the next few years.
why wasn't it just packaged in with the Switch, like Nintendoland and Wii Sports? How on earth to they think it's gonna sell otherwise?
Ehh that game was kinda bad
I want to forget
Why is Ashley so fucking popular?
Because.
If nobody wants it how exactly would it help push hardware sales?
>Touched above Twisted
Don't be retarded, user.
GBA > Twisted > GCN > Smooth Moves > DIY/Showcase > Touched > G&W >>>>>>>>>>> Snapped
It obviously was at some point, otherwise why would Nintendo make a game like this internally? My guess is the suits decided at some point that no one does pack ins anymore so neither should they, even if they already have one mostly done.
I'm going to marry Ashley!
It's a rough game that rehashes its own content despite being ~3 hours long.
A proper sequel would be great, though.
Yeah, even the fucking WiiU got one. The Switch will get one.
>the girl messes up every time
>she keeps bitching
Why do girls ruin everything vidya?
I fucking hope so, Warioware was so much fun. Although to be honest, I hope they have maybe an updated version of that minigame from Game and Wario that involved 9-Volt playing games while pretending to sleep. School Nights at 9-Volt's.
What you don't seem to understand is that 1 2 Switch isn't supposed to be Warioware. It isn't made for some neckbeard to go "wow I'm milking a cow!", it's a fucking party game.
It's quite clearly made for you to set up at a party or gathering with friends and be like "hey guys lets fuck around with this silly game". Don't pretend for a second that isn't a market, the entire fucking concept of board games caters to this market, and stuff like Cards Against Humanity got HUGE off of making it "adult oriented". 1 2 Switch fills that niche really well, especially with the "imagination" part of it. You know why they don't want you to look at the screen? Because you're supposed to use imagination and be having fun with friends, and specifically that means having your group of friends interpret "milk" as "jerk off". It's fucking intentional, you can't even say otherwise. They WANT people to play that game and pretend they're jerking people off, which is why the screen doesn't actually matter and you're supposed to awkwardly look at your hand and friend while you see who can jerk it faster.
It'll do fine, hardcore gamers won't buy it but hardcore gamers have NEVER been responsible for a game doing extremely well above expectations. Wii Sports is still fucking played in nursing homes and shit, because it's that kind of wide appeal.
I wish there was a 3DS WarioWare, easily one of my favorite Nintendo series.
fuck you guys, WW's only sin was being too short. I need a sequel that's 5 times as big, with co-op where someone else plays as Waluigi.
Kimishima is a jewish businessman
I wish Nintendoland was bundled with the system in Europe.
I still haven't played it.
warioware was the GOAT party game. as much as nitnendo tries to make 'party' consoles nowadays they suck ass at making party games
>Waluigi in a Wario game
I fucking wish
I can already envision Jimmy Fallon losing his goddamn mind over this retarded thing. That's exactly the audience they're shooting for.
I could see a mobile phone WarioWare game with the direction Nintendo is heading.
Well, if they still had any good ideas.
>tfw hiding right by the start in Mario Chase
it only works the first time, but damn does it work.
Metroid, Pikmin and Zelda are the best user, THE BEST.
...
Why can't we get a full metroid game in the style of the minigame from Nintendoland? I thought that shit was great.
Nintendoland was bundled in europe
The fact that Smooth Moves managed to be such an amazing game, in spite of the heavily flawed motion controls, is pretty telling.
They really took that wheel for an incredibly good spin, the flaws be damned, that wheel was going to spin. And it did.
They could keep the gameplay as it is and make bigger worlds, but it seems Nintendo doesn't understand what do we want.
Boss Fights were pretty awesome too, I played the whole game with my brother and completed it in one sit, 100%, shit was so cash.
Do you see that little circle that reads 7-day free trial of karaoke slapped onto the side of the box?
That's what we got instead of Nintendoland.
back in the late 2000's when I was still in high school, my parents would host parties at our house for their church group, co-workers, neighborhood friends, etc. And I always got asked to bring out the Wii to show it off, which really meant just Wii Sports and Smooth Moves. Everybody loved both of them, playing and watching. I didn't get much out of the Wii from a singleplayer-core-gamer perspective, but I'd be lying if it wasn't fun to see middle-aged moms laughing like crazy at every random microgame and just having a ball.
>Why can't we get a full metroid game in the style of the minigame from Nintendoland?
Because Metroid games have NEVER sold well, and faggots can't comprehend this.
Let's look at ALL Metroid game sales, and realize that not a single game across the entire series, including spin offs, has EVER sold 3M units. They cap out at 2.8M units.
Now let's look at a successful series: Animal Crossing got a shitty spin off called Happy Home Designer, which is just a gimped minigame for designing rooms, a tiny aspect of the main series. How well did it sell? Well, it passed 3M units in under a year. That's right, a shitty Animal Crossing spin off title outsold the best selling Metroid game of all time in under a year of availability. Of course, that's a spin off, the "Real" Animal Crossing New Leaf passed 10M sales with ease lifetime.
Metroid doesn't get games because it doesn't sell, and when they try new shit like Federation Force they get fucking obliterated. Federation Force couldn't even sell 5,000 copies in it's first week, the game literally won't even break 50,000 sales lifetime.
Let's look at those numbers again: Animal Crossing main series games pass 10M sales easily, while Metroid main series games can't hit 3M. Animal Crossing shit spin offs sell over 3M units in under a year, while Metroid's shitty spin offs can't hit 6 digits in their dreams.
maybe if they made actual GOOD metroid games instead of shitty spinoffs they'd sell better. and 3mil isn't bad for a Nintendo game. 1.5mil on Awakening was enough to save FE and turn it into an A-list franchise in Nintendo's eyes.
it was bundled with the 32gb wii u on launch
Awakening actually passed 2M. Another key difference is that Awakening was a fairly cheaply made 3DS game, compared to the big budget Metroid games often get. 2M is a great success... when done consistently, and Fates is set to also get there, since it passed 1.5M last I saw.
And you're making a mistake about Metroid sales. It didn't come close to 3M recently, and it doesn't do it consistently. Metroid came close to 3M... with the first fucking NES title, and then again with a GC title in 2002. Everything else is shit, they struggle to hit 1M even with main series titles. This chart doesn't even show the .05M Federation Force would be lucky to hit by today.
>all those fanmade Warioware DIY Ashley porn games are gone
Just kill me
>struggle to hit 1m
>only three games below 1m on the list, which are a remake, a spinoff, and a collection, nothing you'd expect to sell well anyway
the solution is to make a fairly cheap Metroid game. Like the Nintendoland minigame, as I said.
Didn't you know OP?
its getting one on launch day!
>You will never have a Wario title as good as WL4 again
Hold me, anons.
I liked the songs these games had.
youtube.com
Those 3 games are 3 of the most recent ones though. The newest one, Other M, was only 1.11 lifetime, which is absolutely struggling to get 1M. The Wii had an insane install base, less than 1% of Wii owners gave a shit about Metroid. Prime 3 did do better, but not by enough to make up for the poor sales of the other games surrounding it in it's time.
The combat in this game was surprisingly fun.
yeah other M, the game that no one liked and filled returned software shelves. i'm sure that's a good metric to go off of.
1,2 switch could have easily been a wario ware game, so probably not.
Twisted > GBA > Touched > Smooth Moves > G&W > DIY
I dunno how anyone could rate Twisted at anything but the top, it's a fucking masterpiece with by far the most content in the series as well as an extremely solid gimmick it does just about everything it possibly can with. If only the same were true for Touched and Smooth Moves.
Smooth Moves multi is fun but the limited microgame selection for it out of an already small library of them made it get old very fast.
>You will never have a Wario title again
>yeah other M, the game that no one liked and filled returned software shelves. i'm sure that's a good metric to go off of.
The fuck are you on about? I linked the sales of literally fucking every Metroid game, Other M is the best performing Metoid game of almost a decade since the last one that outsold it was MP3 Corruption, in 2007, and even that couldn't get near 2M sales. They pretty much gave up after Other M because the entire series sold like shit, and Federation Force selling not even 100,000 copies lifetime will be the final nail in the coffin.
>Other M is the best performing Metoid game of almost a decade
nice way to be disingenuous considering metroid barely got games in that timeframe, and the only titles to under-perform other M were zero mission (which is surprising) and hunters which was probably hurt by how shitty the demo they tried to bundle with the DS was. meanwhile the prime series each sold enough to be worthy of a full console game successor and fusion did well.
damn straight dude. I love twisted. literally perfectly designed. It's too bad you can't really experience it properly unless you have the original game
It barely got games because the few it DID get didn't sell. Metroid games have been selling worse and worse over time, that's just a fact. Metroid Prime is an exception, but even then it couldn't hit 3M. Metroid just flat out doesn't carry sales, Federation Force is one of the worst selling Nintendo games ever, in a world where slapping Animal Crossing onto a home decor minigame can get it 3M sales in like 8 months.
As badly as I want
fuck you
Rhythm Heaven.
I want a new one, and I want 2 player play to have more use since its literally GUARANTEED
I used to be bad at rhythm heaven, and now I've been trying to gold medal every single game
I can't believe I skipped the wii version because I thought it had motion control shit
Im a fucking fool
Well yeah, because Fed Force is something absolutely no one wanted.
It's not a real Metroid game and it's not a good coop game either. Who exactly is it meant to target?
Why did people hate Game and Wario?
Granted, it was pretty short, but for what we got, it was a lot of fun.
It has Metroid on the box, it's supposed to target hardcore Metroid fans.
It probably would have sold 10 times as much WITHOUT that stigmata on the box, because the autistic Metroid "fans" went on a crusade to make sure it would never succeed.
It's not even about the reception before release, it's clear as day after release that the game has virtually no content and isn't very fun either.
>if all of 1, 2 Switch games were about 5 seconds each, there's already material for a new Wario ware
>nah, have a casual demographic for the game
Can we agree that 9-Volt usually had the best set of microgames?
I love it. It's criminally short on content. But the multiplayer games are still incredible, and the little single player content there is, is still good.
Yes.
stop shilling your shitty channel
How about you find a video of 5 or more people playing and enjoying WarioWare together?
It's not that easy.
Why the fuck would funhaus want to appeal to this shit hole?
Tell me about your judge of character and taste in shit is at all a desirable thing to get the attention of.
As much as I like the game, it becomes very repetitive and dull.
The minigame puzzles though are 10/10
Best Micro Game
Music in wario games is always great.
...
That Wario Moon is great,
Is Ashley the hero we deserve?
