Why are they promoting the newest console with a fucking 6 year old game? It's like saying 'hey we're launching PS4 in a few months, next gen and shit, and guess what, you'll be able to play GTA IV on it!'

1. That was to show support from Bethesda

2. It's funny thinking about playing Skyrim on a cart on the go

3. It illustrates that it can play games portably better than anything else on the market

Doesn't take a genius to see why they showed that game.

They are trying to appeal to the dudebro audience.

Because normies fucking love Skyrim, it's not that complicated

>implying dudebros would even think about a nintendo console
>thinking dudebros play anything other than COD and sports games

that's the joke

>'hey we're launching PS4 in a few months, next gen and shit, and guess what, you'll be able to play GTA IV on it!'

didnt they literally do that

>Why are they showcasing a new handheld, by showing a console game that just got released on the PS4, running on a handheld

Gee, I wonder why...

hey we're launching PS4 in a few months, next gen and shit, and guess what, you'll be able to play GTA IV on it!'

this is painfully true.

I was having a conversation about the switch with a bunch of people from uni and sarcastically mentioned how Skyrim is still "totally relevant." They didn't get the sarcasm; they agreed with my statement and proceeded to circlejerk about how awesome Skyrim is for 15 minutes.

>6 year old game
A little over 5, trick.

Skyrim is supposed to be one of the reasons to buy Switch. There's a difference between that and backward compatibility.

Isn't it the "enhanced" HD version or whatever? That released pretty recently. Here's my best guesses.

>Skyrim is really fucking popular and putting it on Switch adds a title that (normal) people often go back to again and again.
>The HD version released really recently.
>It sets up the Switch to get the new upcoming TES game by having Bethesda work with them.
>Money.
>"Look, we have Bethesda as a publisher!"
>A "mature" game on a Nintendo console.
>Attempting to reach an audience that Nintendo sucks at reaching.
>Nintendo listens to fans and tries to reach out to more third-party publishers.
>Todd wants everyone including Nintendo fans to enjoy $kyrim.

Don't act like Skyrim isn't on ps4 and xbone too.

Because Skyrim is one of the best games ever made and being able to play it mobile is a totally new experience.

Skyrim just got an HD remaster not long ago and is generating hype as a new console launch title. You're too dumb to know when you're actually correct.

I'm sure it'll have all the mods as well

Hmmmmm.. I wonder OP.

WHAT THE FUCK BETHESDA? JUST LET THE GAME DIE ALREADY!

People love Skyrim and the idea of them being able to play it anywhere is a selling point, all those kiddies and dudebros will want them for school.

it's a good sign to have third parties.

>it hasnt even been confirmed to be on the switch with bethesda coming out and saying so themselves.

irony, the post

Whos eyes do you think thats meant to catch?
Obviously not YOUR big brain of woke intellect who can see through the web of lies that is marketting, you brave soul you

No, what is the simplest form of message some nobody can gleam from the screenshot you posted alone?
>Oh fuck, bae, I can now play skyrim in bed ha ha

Thats it
the second that hook is stuck into the brain of a console casual, the messaging has served its function in its intended direction

You think Bethesda would allow Nintendo to use their game in marketing freely like that? It would be considered false advertising and infringing on using someone else's IP without permission for money which is illegal.

This is exactly the point of
this

is my statement wrong doe senpai senpai?

Its officialy confirmed now

nintendo.com/games/detail/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-switch

Are you implying Nintendo ported it on their own without permission from Bethesda? Scroll down a little and you can see text that says the trademark belongs to Bethesda and it is published by Bethesda.

I doubt you believe that Nintendo managed to sneak this all on their console without Bethesda having any clue.

Why are Bethesda promoting Skyrim remastered for the Xbox PS4 and PC? They're supposed to be "next gen" consoles!

>console
but user thats a handheld
we just went from 240p ps1 tier graphics

to 720p wii u tier graphics

in one generation :)

the target demography for this thing was 5 when skyrim came out. It is by all intents a new game.
