Can we ever trust ambitious indie devs again?

Yes, just don't listen to the one's who brag about in interviews 24/7

You never could in the first place.

The best indie games to come out have all been safe as fuck 2d platformers. A lot of them are damn good but indies can't afford to break new ground. When they try we get NMS and walking sims.

Not gonna defend him but fans should be blamed too. They hyped this so much and they are literally speculating on features but deem it as fact.
>Example: I will go from planet to planet, just wandering and enjoy the scenery and chill.

I think my game is fairly ambitious.

It's not done yet but it will be very good, you will have to trust me on this.

You really should have thought something was up when their last game was Joe Danger 2: The Movie.

excuse me good sir but do you have a kickstarter that i might contribute to?

Do you have any money?

i have access to my parent's money, yes

Is star citizen an indie developed game at this point?

I only trust indie devs if they have previously released good games, and the only good indie games are pixelshit so my money is safe

star citizen is a scam

People trusted Maxis...

Why even bother getting hyped for unreleased games? Especially from dev's with no notable previous releases. There's plenty of games already available that are worth trying out.

>again?
That implies we could in the first place.

>EA subsidiary

You couldn't in the first place, and if you did, you deserved to get bamboozled.

But he said you could do that..

You can't trust anyone OP

Give me 10$ and I'll make you a space sim with deep mechanics in Excel.

I mean technically yes, indie is just a game developed without support from a publisher. The game is self published so its indie.

Anymore people associate indie with a low budget game by a small studio with SC is obviously not so it could go either way.

>trust
Trust noone etc.

You should never give a shit about a developer/game that rides on PROCEDURAL GENERATION since thats the key word for a bad game.

Why? We already have Aurora.

No its not.

The most obvious key words for a bad game is WIDER AUDIENCE
