The small version of one-eyed yokai will put their hands over their eyes when they are being targeted by a ranged weapon.

You can regenerate guardian spirit power by using soul stones. This is super useful for cheesing bosses you're having trouble with.

Guardian spirits last way longer if you use them when your health is super low.

Breaking up purple items at the blacksmith wields really good materials. I recommend getting rid of purple items this way instead of donating them to shrines.

Put the paralysis healing item on quick use and get in close. Remember to block as well.

When she's far away and grunts, dodge.
Otherwise, block.

Soul matching lets you upgrade your current weapon using a better one. For the most part, it's useless you use a weapon you can't forge.

To Soul Match the weapon I've been using to a weapon at my current level it would cost about 600k. Would it just be more worthwhile to try and craft another purple of the same type and then reroll new stats or what?

if you're using kusarigama (and possibly spear?) this is very easy
dodge the paralyze beam
dodge the whirlwind attack
dodge the charge
attack her with heavy stance triangle after everything else
use living weapon if you have it up

Demonic John Dee wasn't a very good final boss, though the last area with the Kelley clones was kinda cool.

Also, it's cool that Kou Shibusawa voiced Nobunaga, but holy moly, guy can't act to save his life.

Go back to previous missions and defeat all revenants you come across. They yield around 10 glory so the reward isn't great per revenant but they get killed in like two hits, so you earn more glory faster than you would fighting level 60+ revenants in later levels.

Spear is literally fantastic though. It had an infinite loop for 100 to 0 on any humanoid enemy, great reach, wide reach, and fun as fuck low stance moveset.

I recommend only doing that with purple items since they give better materials. Donate all other items to shrines.

Everything you just listed the kusarigama has but way way better. Kusarigama's moveset is full of infinite loops, it has the longest hitting move in the game among melee items (high stance triangle) and the low stance is fun as well.

Are you talking about yoki / amrita fiends? Because the low stance square instantly stuns those enemies. The low stance square attack for kusarigama pretty much instantly breaks the yoki's horns.

Or are you talking about one-eyed onis and the tongue enemies? Because I haven't had much difference between using a spear and using a kusarigama when it comes to fighting those guys. You pretty much handle both of those enemies the same exact way.

Dexterity, Magic, Spirit build. Use kusarigama for the primary, dual swords for secondary. Spam magic attacks and the kusarigama when the spirit gauge builds then switch to dual swords spam spirit guardians when the spirit gauge is filled.

Standard katana, the game straight up gives you the most broken one in the game in the 3rd mission and in the 4th you get the smithing text for it so you can keep making more at your leisure.

Is TN gonna be nerfing/buffing shit with patches? Living weapon alone makes the majority of the game piss easy, at first I was saving it for bosses to mash away at least half their health bar but I realized it builds up retarded fast and you can just constantly be using it throughout the level every time there's a big group.

This is also WITHOUT using shit like popping the consumables to build it and those retarded fucking scrolls that give amrita on hit to either build it or keep it up forever on bosses.
