you'll like this if you like fire emblem music
God Hand had some great music.
>youtube.com
have you listened to konami's suped up version of 'new messiah'? what a track. if only they included it in the dracula battle albums.
the official ost is so gimped.
another ost that has awesome music but got gimped ost due to short track durations is Shin Contra / Contra: Shattered Soldier.
...
Here are two massive tracks you guys don't know about:

Or if you like something softer:

F-Zero GX is another soundtrack that feels gimped. If Nintendo arranged it so that all the racing style tracks were on 1 disc with no filler it would be the best ost in racing game history.
i like your last pick the best. i would have subbed 'time for kill' and the lightning track in for the other two.
>it would be the best ost in racing game history.
Easily.
F-Zero GX's soundtrack is up there among my all time favorites.
Here's another track I really like from it even though its kinda corny.
youtube.com
fuk yea. this is gonna be a good thread now.
youtube.com
this! check out this
Also it's a remix but fuck you
f-zero x was better
What do you think about playing the music outside of the game? I personally only used it to drive on highways to. If I liked running more for exercise I would try it out there, but I think only Usain Bolt's body can properly synthesize with GX's tracks.

The vocal music is perfect in the cutscenes. damn are these cutscenes entertaining.

I never have any clue, what people excpect from these threads, music that is composed for a game or music that is used in games.
>What do you think about playing the music outside of the game?
Pretty fucking good stuff. I like the song that starts playing at around 1:12.
Is there anywhere where you can listen to full versions of the cutscene tracks? I can't find them anywhere.
do you have a proper soundtrack rip of f-zero x? i own the official cd, but the sound quality on it is sort-of muffled / subdued / subpar.
x's ost is better than gx's ost b/c its tracks are arranged properly. i really want to get the arranged f-zero x cd, but it's $100 and I read the sound quality is weak on that one too.
I am sure someone ripped the game's sound files from the disc and has the cutscene tracks included. It probably isn't on major game mp3 sites. If you can't find it just talk to anyone online you see modding Nintendo games. i.e. pro666
only megaman ost i own. fantastic music.
youtube.com
my fave old-school megaman tune that got a good remix
Man, this game makes me melancholic as fuck for some reason.
Is there an instrumental version of 'bitter end'?
youtube.com
a guitar tune you'll probably like
Yume Nikki is amazing, playing it made me pay more attention to my dreams, keeping track of what goes on in your head when you are sleeping and trying to understand the weird shit that happens is really fun.
youtube.com
I wish I had strange dreams again.
I had a lot when I was a kid/teenager.
nice shift to heavier drums. any other pc jpn game soundtrack / arranges recommends? i personally am a major fan of the pc-98 and its music:
gyusyabu.ddo.jp
I wish I could recommend similar stuff, but I just happened to stumble into this album in a random YN thread, the only pc-98 tracks I know are from earlier Touhou games and the only other old japanese game I can remember right now would be Sho Ren Sha 68k which has a pretty neat soundtrack youtube.com
you should join soundtrackcentral.
Well that's a neat site I didn't know about, thanks for the info.

This whole ost is just impressive and very moody for a genesis game, I don't think any other game music sound close to this
>MFW Seaside
pretty good choices. not a fan of xx though. what's with i-no's character artwork in that game? GGX2 was literally the best way for me to experience this series.
attached: perfection.
THIS FUCKING AWESOME MUSIC HAS NO BUSINESS BEING IN SUCH A BAD GAME

youtube.com
everyone knows cave games best tune is stage 1
The cover / promotional / concept art is drawn by Daisuke Ishiwatari and the in-game portrait / ending art is drawn by others.
youtube.com
>that whole game room
>this music
It really hit me hard, it was just so comforting and happy
i think you won the thread.
when you wrote moody I was going to recommend Splatterhouse 2's ost, but this is definitely less brooding and more sparkly. it sounds like a pleasant version of Alien Soldier's ost to some extent.
You should join soundtrackcentral. I've never seen this game ost come up in gen vs snes soundwar threads.
Aware this exists? youtube.com
this game was really bashed when it was released since it was rather glitchy and has really bad bosses that didn't work well with the mechanics with the game, so pretty much it was really under the radar for quite sometime.
Way back when I was young all I do is just download roms and see the games I missed out on. I was also really into video game music too so I just go through a random selection of games and see if there is any music i missed out on, and I found this game and I was just in love with the music, all the tracks were really addictive, this composer really needs some appreciation of what he did to the genesis sound chip, its just really damn impressive
Makes me sad the game was so shit

shame this game never got released, but at least the beta is mostly finished and its playable all the way through, its actually not that bad of a game, much better then the snes version that's for sure
