Rogue was better

My personal favorite of the series.
How is Rogue? I've heard that it's pretty much the same.

IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOLD

Very similar, just a change of setting and characters.

You'll prefer Black Flag if you like sound of pirates sailing in the Caribbean, you'll prefer Rogue if you like the sound Irishmen sailing in the North Atlantic.

It's the best since Brotherhood but it was a missed opportunity. First of all, there is no reason for it to be a numbered game and not a spin-off. Second, there's no reason for it not to be a new franchsie.

Greedysoft somehow managed to miss an opportunity to start a brand new franchise of pirate-themed games, something rather unique in the market, but instead they made another Assassin's Creed.

All the AC elements in the game didn't feel like it belonged there. The game is fucking great though. The most fun in the series since Brotherhood by far.

Nah, it's still way too easy with lots of terrible modern game design tossed in.

>assassination mission
>target is conveniently placed next to a stealth bush, pull him into the death foliage in full view of a dozen other people
>mission completed!
>rate this mission out of 5 stars

And the combat sucks too, bamham "press parry to win" garbage, skip black flag. Only the first few AC games were good

make a sequel with no "walk around an office building and talk to people" segments

improve ship battles
more shanties

It's the only Assassin's Creed game I've played. I thought it was alright, there were moments where I was really into it like just walking around Havana and swinging on to an enemy's ship. It started to wear thin after a while and the modern plot was garbage.

Best asscreed in the entire series.

Don't listen to this faggot.

The game is fun and probably one of the best that the series has to offer. Just go into it thinking that it's a pirate simulator instead of an asscreed game.

Eh, I thought for having Assassin's Creed mechanics, it was really neat and cool.

>more shanties
this, best thing in any AC game hands down

Assassins creed was never good.

What is the draw here?
Bad combat?
Occasionally fun but laughably easy par kour?
Terrible story?

I dont think i had a fun time with anything Assassins Creed besides the multiplayer

You get to man a ship, go around the Caribbean, plunder shit, and explore islands. It's really fucking good, honestly, for an Assassin's Creed game.

>Only the first few AC games were good

I only played the first one and it was total shit.

It wasn't amazing but it was cool.

If it had dancing sequences like Sid Meier's Pirates then it would have been amazing.

The first one had good assassinations and that was it.
The second one was where the series really started to pick up

but ship battles were the only good thing. shanties are meme-tier

Pretty good, as far as ship combat goes. But when you go back to land it can be pretty tedious. Still one of the best written characters and great characters throughout.

holy shit that game was GOAT
I should check it out again I never got my whole family or beat all the pirates
probably because i was a retarded 11 year old

It was fun for everything except for the main story missions, which were all maximum trash.

BF is the first AC I've played and not gonna lie, it's because I wanted to pirating.

What the fuck is with 'rate this mission' after every fucking mission though? It made me feel like a fucking game tester, shit was annoying as FUCK.
